I Saved Your Life!

In the tunnel at the Chandler Mansion, Annie screams when she thinks she sees something - this reveals her location to Brooke and Adam who are in the living room talking. Adam pulls Annie out and asks what she saw in there! Annie doesn't answer, but changes the subject, saying she heard them planning to keep her busy. She demands to know what they are up to! Adam cooks up a story about an assignment they're planning at Tempo, and asks Annie what she was doing in the tunnels. Annie stammers, but eventually says she is reading about the underground railroad and wanted to feel what it was like. Adam leaves the room and Brooke tells her she's lying - she was spying on her and Adam! Annie finds it difficult to deny she was eavesdropping. Brooke begins talking about Tempo and what she wants for a cover story, but Annie doesn't listen - she imagines Brooke and Adam cuddling and conspiring to get rid of her. When she snaps out of it, she tells Brooke she's sorry - she can't work with her today!

Scott comes into the Chandler Mansion where he runs into a frantic Annie, who insists that Brooke is out to take her husband! Scott tries to assure her that Brooke is no threat, but Annie protests that regardless, she feels so unwanted. She adds it's not fair after what she did! Scott asks her what she did. Annie stammers that she's done all kinds of things for the family but it doesn't seem to matter. Scott says he appreciates her. She pouts that he's been cold toward her lately. Scott says that they have crossed lines and if Adam even suspected there was something going on it wouldn't be good. David listens from behind the wall! The phone rings and Annie answers - it's JR. He tells Annie he wants her to come to the hospital - now.

Annie arrives at the hospital, where JR informs her he will be moving his family into the mansion when he's released from the hospital/ He warns that he will be laying down some ground rules too. He asks why Adam said she did something for him - he goads her - asking him to tell him something that will amaze him! She resists, but when he presses, she tells him she saved his life - she was his bone marrow donor - if it weren't for her, he'd be dead!

About To Explode!

Upstairs at the Chandler Mansion, David wheels and deals with Adam. Annie comes to the locked door and demands to know who Adam has in there with him! Adam shouts that he's on a business call. David tells him that if he refuses to cut a deal, he gives him about a week before he's in the ER! Annie continues to shout, so David hides and Adam lets her in. She says she's sure she heard someone! Adam tells her he was on speakerphone! She quizzes him about the locked door, and making her sleep in the guestroom. Adam says he's having trouble sleeping and gets her out of there!

Annie goes downstairs to the living room of the Chandler Mansion. Brooke walks in and says that she has had the cook clear out all of the junk food, and also had the staff remove the liquor from the house because Adam is easily tempted! Annie wonders what else she is doing to look after her husband! Brooke goes to the kitchen and Annie picks up her phone - she sees Adam's name on it. Annie goes to the study, and Brooke wanders back in. Adam asks her to keep Annie busy with Tempo business. Brooke wonders why, but he won't tell her. They bicker about his health. Inside the wall, David is listening!

Annie sneaks upstairs and snoops - she notices the passage behind the wall and smiles, saying, "That's the best you can do, huh, Brooke." She gets a flashlight and goes into the wall passage. She hears Adam tells Brooke to keep Annie busy so she's not suspicious of what they're doing, and then hears a noise up ahead - she points her flashlight and asks, "Who's there?"

Negotiating 101!

At the Chandler Mansion, Adam collapses on the sofa with chest pain. David stands over him, remarking that it looks like he's a dead man! They hear Ryan leave the house with Emma, but Ryan doesn't hear Adam's attempt to call out. David prepares a dish of ice water and lifts Adam off the couch to plunge his face into it! He informs the spluttering Adam that he's saving his life by lowering his heart rate. It works, and once Adam recovers, he asks why David's in the house. David tells him he's been there long enough to know his secret - how sick and weak he really is! Just then, Annie starts knocking at the door David locked! As she keeps pounding, David says he can help him get what he wants, which is to focus on JR's recovery. As Annie screams for Scott, Adam asks David what's in it for him. David explains that he'll stay in the house as a 'silent partner' to care for Adam outside of the public eye. He warns Adam about drinking and bedding Annie. Soon, Annie is back at the door with Scott - they bust in! David has hidden, and Adam acts dismayed at their concern, saying he just fell asleep. Adam says he's going to bed, and turns down Annie's offer to join him. Annie tells Scott this can only be about one thing - Brooke English!

Brooke comes back to the Chandler Mansion just as Annie is explaining to Scott about Adam being upset because she asked Brooke to move out. Annie welcomes her back to the house and says she hopes they can put this all behind them. She tells Brooke that she over-reacted and that Adam left the decision up to her. Brooke is amused and says this way, Annie can keep a closer eye on her! She tells Annie that she doesn't want her husband, but she did promise JR she'd be his eyes and ears around here! She asks Scott to help her settle in. Scott smiles at Brooke, saying, "Anything you need!"

Looks Like You're a Dead Man!

At the Chandler Mansion, David watches from his hiding spot as Annie goes upstairs, and Adam frantically searches for a heart pill. Brooke comes in and says he needs some rest - he can't fool her! Adam tells her to stop playing nursemaid. He points out that his family needs him - he's just forgotten to take one pill, and he'd take it, but he can't find them. Brooke finds them and gives him one. Adam says he's glad to have her back - she is taking Tempo off his hands, plus, she's just what this family needs! Adam goes upstairs, and Annie comes into the room with champagne - she and Brooke go head to head. Annie asks her to move into the Valley Inn - she and her husband need privacy! Brooke says she never meant to impose - she'll go. Brooke warns her to care for Adam - his health isn't good. Annie tersely says she knows what her husband's needs are, adding that Brooke is just upset that she can give Adam something she can't - she pulls down her top and exposes her bare shoulder! Brooke rolls her eyes and leaves. Annie calls Ryan to take Emma for the night. Adam walks into the room, and Annie tells him that Emma is going to her dad's, and she asked Brooke to move to a hotel. Adam is upset, and insists that Annie apologize to Brooke - she's his guest and can stay there as long as she likes. When Adam takes a drink of scotch, David watches and grins. Annie reappears and Adam insists they go set things right with Brooke. David comes out into the room when it's empty and eats some grapes. He hears a noise and runs with his hands full of fruit, and mouth full of grapes, back to his hiding spot!

Ryan arrives at the Chandler Mansion as Emma is explaining to Annie that she didn't eat the grapes and ruin her dinner! Ryan remarks on Emma wanting to see him and she says it was mommy's idea. Annie defensively explains that she wanted alone time with her husband! Annie says she only lied because he's critical, and she wanted to avoid drama. Ryan wonders why she's so concerned about her marriage? After Ryan and Emma leave, Annie tells Adam she is going upstairs to put on something more comfortable. Adam has a spell and realizes he took the wrong pill earlier! As he begins to experience severe heart pain, David stands over him and says, "Looks like you're a dead man, Adam!"
