Paranoia!

In the Chandler living room, Annie is leaving Adam a message on the video camera about how strong and real their love was, when she is overcome with abdominal pain. She sinks to the floor and looks down to see blood! She crawls across the floor trying to get help, but passes out. Scott, who had taken his suitcase out to the car, comes back in and sees her - he rushes to her side. He grabs the phone.

Scott comes into the hospital beside Annie's stretcher. David meets them and barks out orders. He tells Scott she's lost a lot of blood! Ryan shows up and questions if Annie's faking it. Scott bitterly says she's not - there was plenty of blood. He accuses Ryan of leading the pack to push Annie these past months. Ryan points out that he was just trying to get the truth - Kendall is innocent. Scott says that baby was too. Scott leaves the hospital, and David comes out looking for him. Ryan says Annie is the mother of his daughter and wants to know her status. David says she lost the baby and she's not in good shape. Just then his beeper goes off - it's Annie!

Another Shot in the Dark!

Annie is at the station bailing Scott out - he was picked up for being drunk and disorderly. Annie tells him about Adam setting them up. Scott panics - they kissed! Annie assures him that Adam didn't watch it. She says they haven't done anything wrong - in fact, they've protected Adam. Annie says they've nearly got everything they wanted. Scott scoffs that she has, but he needs to go back to Chicago! Annie tells him not to be selfish - Adam needs him!

Annie and Scott arrive at the Chandler Mansion, where Adam is sitting in front of the fireplace. He notes that they didn't come home last night. Annie says that she had to bail Scott out. Adam says he saw what happened on the laptop, and begins speaking cryptically. Annie wants to see what Adam saw on the laptop. She presses a key and the footage of her and Scott kissing appears. Annie accuses Adam of lying about destroying it. Adam smirks. Scott apologizes to Adam, who tells him he's not sorry yet. Annie says that they also talk about protecting him on the video! Adam becomes furious as Annie confesses to not loving him at first, and to faking the pregnancy at first. He informs her that she never loved him, and that the baby she is now carrying probably isn't his! Scott insists it can't be his child. Annie says in a few months they'll take a paternity test. Adam says he can't stand to look at her now! Adam tells Scott that she's using him too. He tells them both to be gone from his home by the time he gets back. He leaves.

After Adam leaves the house, Annie tells Scott that this is her home, and her family, and she's going to fight for it. Scott smirks, saying she's spun the truth so many ways that when she actually says something honest it comes out like the granddaddy of all lies! Annie protests, but Scott says it's over - they've lost! He tells her she's got nothing - and the sad part is that nobody cares! Scott leaves, and Annie cries. She looks up at the video camera in the wall and leaves Adam a final message, admitting she lied about being pregnant, and the murder - but she didn't lie about loving him or trying to protect him. She says she thought their child and marriage would allow him to forgive himself. Annie says she'll tell the baby that what they had was real. Suddenly, she doubles over in pain, and falls to the floor holding her abdomen!

The Bloodhound Gang!

At the Chandler Mansion, Annie's shoulder massage leads to a passionate kiss with Scott. He pulls back and says they can't keep doing this - he wasn't like this before. Annie writes it off to spontaneity, protesting that it will never happen again. Scott questions how they could do this to Adam! They move out to the terrace as they talk, where Scott informs Annie that there is a Chandler trait where one can't resist temptation - Adam and JR have it, and he does too - even though he's adopted! Annie asks if he wants to sleep with her, and if he's man enough to say what he really wants. Scott admits that he wants her, but it's just a fantasy, and it can't go further.

Adam arrives at the Chandler Mansion and calls out for Annie. She comes inside and asks what happened to his business trip? Adam wonders why she's cold, and questions Scott about taking care of her. Scott abruptly leaves, and Adam asks what's with him? Annie claims not to know. Adam gets her a warm drink, and tells her she has a glow. Annie thanks him for believing in her. He looks up at the video camera. Annie sees what he's looking at and says that hasn't been on for months - he's set her up! Adam says he's been watching her and Scott! He tells her about the DVD. Annie says on the DVD, JR was being an idiot and the kiss with Scott was impulsive. Adam remarks on their odd demeanor when he came in. He tells Annie he really doesn't want to have to play the video footage from tonight, and asks her to assure him that nothing happened. She lies that there is nothing on the tape that would make him doubt her love! Adam doesn't put the disc in the machine, and she thanks him before heading up to bed. Adam says he'll be up soon, and stands alone holding the DVD. He decides to watch, and visibly breaks down as he witnesses the kiss between Annie and Scott!

Help Me!

Annie hollers for a nurse from her hospital bed. Jake comes in and tells her there are other patients in the hospital. Annie doesn't want him for a doctor, and David appears, telling her to take it easy! Scott shows up and tells her that Ryan is at the house all upset. Annie smirks and says he'll have no chance against Adam's lawyers. Scott thinks it was a bad move for her to provoke Ryan.

Annie and Scott come home from the hospital just as Adam has reactivated his secret video camera. Scott brings up the custody issue, saying maybe they should have waited. Adam says he made Annie a promise. Annie goes upstairs, and Adam tells Scott he needs to ask him a favor. He tells him he has to go out, and asks if he'll keep an eye on Annie while he's gone. Scott agrees. Annie comes down and says goodbye to Adam. Scott asks Annie if she's worried Adam will confess if he's out on his own, but she says she's glad he's gone! Annie tells Scott they could use a break. Scott snarks that all that lying must have taken it out of her! Annie says she and Adam are really going to start a family - and a lot of it's because of his help. Scott says everything he's done is for his family. He places a blanket around her shoulders and she asks him to start a fire. He does. Annie then offers him a shoulder rub. He turns and kisses her deeply!

Seed of Doubt!

Adam goes in to see Annie and they have a jubilant celebration about the baby being okay! Scott joins them as Adam is saying how much he hopes for another son. Adam tells Scott he hoped he would have helped JR the way Stuart helped him - he never should have put them in competition. Annie interrupts, saying they're going to do it right this time. Adam asks Scott to stay with Annie for a moment, while he goes to the desk. Erica rushes over to Adam, and they bicker about Annie. She brings up the fact that he killed Stuart - he seems to have gotten over it pretty easily. Ryan goes in to needle Scott and Annie. Annie asks him about his lie to her that she can't conceive, but Ryan laughs, saying he can't believe she's talking to him about lying! Annie tells him she's pregnant - it's over. Ryan narrows his eyes and asks, "Then why does it feel like it's just beginning?" They discuss Emma, and Scott marvels that Ryan really thinks Annie is a threat to her daughter. Annie tells Ryan that she is filing for full custody of Emma. Ryan walks out to Erica and Adam and plants the seed of doubt by saying if he were Scott, he would want to hurt Adam for what he did! Annie tells Scott that she can't believe she's really pregnant. Scott points out that a couple of hours ago, that child was only a strategy move. Annie protests that she loves this child, and that he's part of the family too. Scott muses that perhaps he shouldn't be. He wonders why he's actually staying in the house - he says he needs to take a step back. Annie says she needs him, then says that they've been given this new life. As she grasps his hand, Adam watches from behind the curtain!
