ANNIE MCDERMOTT LAVERY'S HISTORY
Annie came to Pine Valley from New York, fleeing an ex-husband with whom she shared custody of their daughter. She had discovered that he was into pornography and young girls, and feared for Emma's safety. Unable to convince the court system to rescind her ex's access to the child, she took flight, seeking the help of Erin Lavery and the Amanda Montgomery Center.
After her ex kidnapped Lily, the autistic wife of Jonathan Lavery, Jonathan tracked him down and killed him before the man could rape her. Annie thought her troubles were over.
Because Annie has a rare disorder, her DNA does not match her daughters, and despite Annie's anguished cries, Emma was recently removed from her custody for testing to determine if she was actually the missing daughter of Tad and Dixie. Annie found solace in the company of Ryan Lavery, while Dr. Jeff Martin ran a battery of tests to prove Annie's maternity. The results were conclusive and Emma returned home.
David Hayward told Kendall that Ryan was the sperm donor who created Emma; Kendall tried to keep things quiet but the truth came out - and Annie and Ryan fell in love.
When an accident caused Spike's hearing loss, Annie decided to confront her past to help the boy. Her father, Walter, reluctantly agreed to come to town but they couldn't get past their differences to rebuild their relationship.
Annie soon began to receive strange notes and learned that the new bartender at The Comeback was her long-lost, crazy brother! Richie tried to convince the town that Annie was the nutty one but Ryan stood by her and helped her keep Richie at bay. Richie began to focus on Babe and then learned he had cancer. Annie was tested to be a bone marrow donor but didn't match with him.
Soon after, Richie's plans began falling apart and so did Annie's! Ryan lost his memory and when he finally remembered everything, he wasn't in love with Annie - he loved Greenlee! Annie paid off Richie and in exchange he was supposed to get rid of Greenlee. Instead, Richie kidnapped Babe. Annie helped him escape when Kendall and Greenlee found him. On the way back to Pine Valley, Annie and Richie began fighting and she clubbed him over the head with a wrench, killing him.
Annie tried to frame Colby Chandler, Cassandra Foster and Dre Woods for the crime but they were eventually cleared. Jesse continued to investigate but Annie began to concentrate on getting Ryan back and away from Greenlee. When Greenlee admitted her true feelings, Annie took desperate measures: she convinced Aidan to work with her. Together, they concocted a kidnapping plot (she and Emma were 'kidnapped') to get $10 million from Greenlee. Annie thought 'saving Emma' would leave Ryan indebted to her and he would leave Greens.

Friday, November 06 2009: Adam Sees Stuart And Collapses!
As the wedding preparations continue, Scott urges Adam not to marry Annie today. Annie walks in and says they have to cancel the wedding. She tells Adam that this lavish wedding is too stressful for him. She suggests City Hall instead. Adam is happy with her idea but he insists the wedding will be at the Mansion. He wants not only his friends, but his enemies there to witness the wedding as well. They hug.
Scott gets Annie alone and tells her off for having this wedding and is afraid it will kill Adam. He says the only reason Adam is marrying her is that he thinks she’s pregnant. Annie says by the time the honeymoon is over, she’ll be pregnant anyway. She leaves to dress and Scott asks Adam if he knows what he’s doing. JR arrives at the mansion and warns Adam about Annie. He tells JR that Annie is pregnant but JR asks him how he knows the baby is his? JR looks at Scott and tells Adam that recently he saw Annie and Scott going at it. Scott admits they did kiss. Adam tells JR that the only reason he is allowed to stay at the wedding is because his son is there. He warns JR to stop badmouthing Annie. Scott and JR argue and Scott tells JR that he is protecting Adam more than he will ever know.
Annie and Lucretia dress but Lucretia’s heart isn’t it in. She leaves to check on things. While Annie is talking to herself in the mirror, Ryan walks in and tells her she always did make a beautiful bride. Annie asks Ryan to leave. He tells her that he knows everything and that he wants Emma out of the whole thing. Annie says all she wants is Adam’s happiness. She warns him not to ruin the wedding. She says she and Adam aren’t afraid of him anymore. Annie is told that the guests have arrived and asks if she is ready.
The wedding begins with the flower girl and ring bearer, Emma and Little A, then Lucretia who walks down the aisle with a strange look on her face. Annie enters looking happy and smug. Colby frowns and Adam beams. Suddenly Adam starts daydreaming about the night of the murder, then just as quickly rejoins the ceremony. When the minister asks if there’s anyone who thinks this marriage shouldn’t take place, Ryan stands up. He apologizes to Adam and Annie and says he’s happy for them. He tells Adam that Stuart would have been so happy for him. Annie tells Ryan to stop. Adam asks the minister to continue. Annie asks Adam if he’s ok and he says yes. Zach and Jesse arrive. While Annie says her vows, Adam daydreams again and laments Stuart’s death. Suddenly Stuart appears to Adam and asks him to admit he killed him. It’s Adam’s turn to say his vows, but he is distracted by Stuart. Adam tells Stuart that he’s sorry. Stuart gets angry and demands he confess. He shouts that Adam is going to hell. Adam hears a gunshot and collapses.
Adam is on the floor while the ambulance is on the way. Jesse says there is no pulse. Annie cries that he is dead!
Thursday, November 05 2009: Buried Secret!
At the Chandler Mansion, Annie and Scott bicker as he gets angry that she's left Adam alone at the hospital - he could confess! Annie says he won't - he has to protect the child she's carrying! Scott's jaw drops. Annie explains that Adam values family over everything. Scott accuses her of giving him false hope. Annie says it's not a problem. She whips out a calendar and indicates to Scott just how quickly she could get pregnant. Scott rolls his eyes and says she'd be better off to fake a miscarriage. Annie says she had one - she wouldn't have to fake that pain. Annie says she has a wedding to plan, and hollers for Lucretia - informing her she's going to be her maid of honor! Lucretia insists on a 20% raise to do it!
Annie is wrestling Lucretia into the maid of honor dress when Scott comes home with Adam. He is amused at the scene, but Scott suggests that they consider postponing the wedding. Adam won't hear of it, and he embraces Annie happily. Adam leaves, and Annie confronts Scott about his idea to call off the wedding. Scott sighs and tells her that Ryan knows the truth. Annie says all the more reason to rush the wedding. Scott tells Annie forcefully that if she keeps pushing this - she'll kill Adam!
