Dre arrives at the Valley Inn and Colby, upset at Adam, cries on his shoulder. She is mad that he manipulated her but she is also upset because she saw how upset he was at the wedding. Dre hugs Colby and tells her that they can't worry about the stupid things their parents do. Dre and Colby join the reception and over cake talk about Dre's dad. Dre tells her about an election event that Dre refused to attend; his father emotionally blackmailed him into attending anyway. Colby can't believe his father. Colby and Dre make a pact to be honest with each other no matter what. They kiss to seal the deal.
Erica is the first to arrive at Adam's surprise wedding shower for Tad and Krystal at the Valley Inn. Adam offers to get her a drink but Erica turns him down and begins looking for Marshall. When Marshall arrives Erica leads him to their table. Colby is next to arrive; Adam asks about Sean but Colby doesn't want to talk about it. Erica sees Adam walk back in, hurries over to him and asks him to rescue her from the horrible date. He agrees and Erica returns to Marshall. Adam calls Barry and begins to create a scene next to Erica's table. He hangs up and tells Erica that their "business deal" is imploding. Marshall is confused and Erica asks if they can postpone their date. He agrees and leaves. "I owe you," Erica says and Adam asks her to marry him again! Palmer walks in and says that will never happen again! They begin arguing. Erica tells Palmer she can handle Adam. "Watch your back," Palmer says and leaves. Erica tells Adam he must have lost his mind. Colby returns as Adam tells Erica that he is turning over a new leaf; Colby explains how Adam planned the surprise reception. Erica wonders what he is really up to. He won't admit to anything. Erica decides to leave but Adam stops her at the door. Krystal, Tad, JR and Babe arrive and Colby leads them inside. Kendall and Zach are close behind. Adam walks in last and offers a toast to the newlyweds! Krystal and Tad are not amused and ask what Adam's real motives are. Krystal stands up to leave. Zach and Kendall wonder why they were invited. Adam follows Krystal and has everyone else locked inside the dining area - so he can get some alone time with Krystal!
Dre walks in to the Chandler mansion from the tunnels and checks things out. Colby is there to show him around and tell him that the P.I. has left town. She asks him to come with her to B.J.'s. Dre thinks they should invite Sean but Colby believes Sean will just blow them off.
JR is making a deal at B.J.'s when Sean walks in. JR needles Sean a little, realizes how distracted and upset Sean is and demands to know what he's done to Colby this time! Sean tries to avoid JR but Colby walks in and JR becomes more aggressive. She calms things between the guys and takes Sean aside to find out what is wrong. He tells her about sleeping with Hannah. Colby is heartbroken; Sean leaves. Colby sits down with JR and tells him everything, crying about her past with Sean and the fact that she really thought he had changed this time. JR tells Colby it takes a lot for people to change. "But you just try to do what's right," he says, telling her that love can make anything possible. Colby asks how she can tell if she is really in love and JR says she will know. Sean walks back inside as JR hugs his sister. Dre makes a beeline for him and asks Sean why he keeps running from Colby. Sean is very flippant with Dre; Colby walks up and asks Dre to take her home. Before Sean can leave JR confronts him, threatening to hurt Sean if he ever hurts Colby again.
Adam asks Colby to meet him at the Yacht Club and asks her to help him plan a wedding reception for Krystal and Tad! Colby doesn't believe Adam's motives are clear cut and questions why he is doing this. Adam swears to Colby that he just wants to bury the hatchet with Tad and Krystal so that they can all move forward. He says it will be a big party so the whole town will know where things stand and asks her to help him out. Colby leaves and Adam begins planning his big event.
At the Martin home Krystal returns home from work to find Tad working on his computer. When he shuts the laptop she asks what he is working on and won't take no for an answer when he says she doesn't really want to know. They fight over the laptop and Krystal wonders if Tad is looking at porn! When he says no she begins chasing him around the living room but Tad manages to keep the laptop away from her. Krystal begins to tickle him and Tad gives in and hands over the computer. She realizes he is researching travel destinations. "I was planning our honeymoon," Tad says! Krystal says she can't go on a honeymoon because of work and the baby; Tad says Kyle and Babe can take care of The Comeback and Jenny can have a 24-hour nanny. Tad goes upstairs for a few minutes and when he returns Krystal is decked out in a Hawaiian girl costume and tells him it's time to make their marriage real - in every sense of the word. Tad tumbles her to the sofa as Colby walks in! She tells them they are "cute" but asks if she can talk to them for a few minutes. She asks them to come to dinner with her at the Valley Inn the next night for a belated wedding celebration. Tad and Krystal love the idea but don't want Colby to spend her own money. Finally they give in and Colby hurries upstairs to make the reservations. Krystal returns to Tad on the couch and they kiss.
Colby calls Adam, tells him Tad and Krystal are in and asks him not to disappoint her. Adam promises. Then he calls his own people to make sure Zach will be invited, too. The party planner arrives and Adam finishes up a few last minutes details. "This will be a night Pine Valley will never forget," he says.
Colby brings Dre some pillows, blankets and snacks in the Chandler Tunnel. She also brings him music and postcards. Colby tells him to write his dad a note, telling him that he is fine but not interested in politics, and is continuing his music career in New York. From a distance they hear Adam calling for Colby. Colby shushes Dre until Adam leaves his study. When she is certain that Adam won't hear them talking, Colby tells Dre to start working on his postcard to his father and comes up with a plan to actually get a New York postmark on the postcard so his father's investigators will move on from Pine Valley. Colby tells him a little about her criminal past and asks Dre about his past. Dre says he went along with his father's plans until his mother died on 9/11. "She had an office in the South Tower," Dre says, "I never found her." He searched Ground Zero in the middle of the night when the rescuers wouldn't let him through and burned his arm on a steam pipe. Dre tells Colby that his father used his mother's death to win his first election! Colby tells him not to write anything angry in the note, just to be positive and reassuring.
Colby is alone at the park, looking for Sean. Dre walks up. Colby asks where he has been but Dre is very secretive and will only say he had to leave for a while. Colby keeps questioning him and Dre admits he is hiding from "the family". Colby thinks he is talking about the mob; Dre laughs at her. They grab some hot chocolate and Dre tells Colby a little about his family: his father is Samuel Woods, a politician running for a senator position for the state. Dre says his father doesn't understand his music and only wants to turn him into a carbon copy of himself. "Sounds a lot like mine," Colby says. She promises to keep Dre's father's identity from the guys in the group. Dre asks about Sean; Colby isn't sure where Sean is. She asks Dre about his love life and learns he isn't seeing anyone. Colby asks him about Corrinna, letting Dre know Corrinna likes him; Dre says that doesn't matter because he won't mess up their band relationship with a romance. She asks if Dre has a place to stay; he doesn't. Colby offers to put him up for a while! She takes him to the Chandler Tunnels, telling him a little about the place.
Krystal and Tad come home, flirty and reminiscing about their first New Year’s Eve together. They don’t even make it upstairs before the heavy kissing and removing of clothes commences. But, oops! They’re interrupted by Colby who is “starving!” and wants to eat before she leaves. Colby invites them to go with her to see the band play, but Tad and Krystal beg off. Colby steps out to get ready to leave, and Krystal reiterates that she wants to be Tad’s wife in every way. They kiss some more. Colby comes back in; they give her a curfew of “dawn,” and she tells them her New Year’s Resolution is “for all this crazy stuff to go away.” They tell her it’s absolutely possible and she leaves. Just as they get hot and heavy, Baby Jenny cries are heard over the baby monitor, interrupting them once again.
