In Babe's bedroom, Zoe begs Colby not to tell anyone she's there. Colby is excited the police let her go; she understands Zarf/Zoe. She's been listening to the music and believes Zoe has always shown her true colors! Playing makeup, Colby gives Zarf/Zoe a make-over. Babe enters, angry with Colby. What is she doing? Colby says she won't "rat out" Babe, but it's for Zarf/Zoe's sake, not Babe's. Zoe asks if Babe wants her to leave and Babe asks her to stay. She needs a friend, right now. Telling Zoe her father could be a suspect, Babe wonders how she can live with the guilt if her father is the killer. Zoe tries to reassure her - until 5 minutes ago she was the killer! Babe and Zoe prepare for bed. It's a slumber party atmosphere and Zoe assures Babe she can handle the situation. She begins to sing Babe to sleep.
Meanwhile, downstairs, JR wonders if Babe and Dixie are really in danger. Tad believes they could both be in danger from David and Adam volunteers to supply extra guards for both women. Jamie drops another bombshell: they haven't been able to locate David anywhere in the world. Jamie asks JR how he is dealing with everything. If Zoe isn't the killer, that means Babe was only protecting a friend. What will JR do? He doesn't have an answer. Tad and Jamieleave, promising to keep JR in the loop. Adam says he is only surprised it took David this long to snap. He advises JR this is a good thing - if David is guilty it could help JR get custody!
Zarf is Exposed!
At the mansion, the police arrive to arrest Zarf. He tells Derek not to bother testing the vials - it's V-Tach inside, and if the police don't arrest him now, he'll kill again! Babe won't let Zarf martyr himself and tells him to stop. Everone turns on her. When Derek is called away, an officer comes forward to read Zarf his rights. On the phone, Derek learns the drugs in the vials were not V-Tach!
Accusations
Over at Adam's house Colby declares she will 'die' if she has to scrape gum from underneath the cafeteria tables at school wearing a hairnet for community service. She says she should just wear a big 'loser' sign - a laughing JR asks if she'd like that in neon. Jr continues teasing until Colby leaves the room. This is awesome, JR says to Adam. Adam tries not to be amused and agrees he hopes she will learn something from it. JR tells Adam that things are about to get bad - he's divorcing Babe & suing for custody of their son - it will be hard on Adam and Krystal, he warns.
Back at Adam's place, JR is telling his father that one of his bodyguards saw Babe give Josh a lingering kiss on New Year's Eve. He tells his Dad he hasn't confronted her yet - he's waiting to 'get the goods' on her first. Adam says he's sorry. He warns JR that Babe can afford good lawyers this time to fight for Little A. Adam wonders whether this means Babe has also been decieving Krystal - who believes that Babe's affair with Josh has ended. Adam says he'll back JR all the way. Meanwhile, in the other room Krystal is trying to give Colby a pep talk about her community service - the kids will move on to something else in a week, she assures her. Colby says she can't put herself through this because she's a Chandler. Krystal reminds her that it is far better than going to jail. Colby retorts that Krystal will be happy to see her so humiliated.
At Adam's house, Colby is yelling at Krystal that she isn't her mother. No, says Krystal, but your mother would agree with the advice I'm giving you. What's it going to be? Teenage razzing in the cafeteria or an 8' by 8' cell? Colby leaves the room and goes to rant about Krystal to JR. JR tells her Krystal has done nothing wrong. Maybe not, says Colby, but she's hiding a secret too...
Back at Adam's Colby tells JR that when she was hiding in the tunnels awhile back she heard a conversation between Tad and Krystal alluding to a secret - and Krystal was angry because Dixie knew about it! You're in enough trouble, JR tells Colby, just leave it alone! "Fine!" Colby huffs as she leaves. As Krystal and Adam sit downstairs discussing the developments with Colby, Dixie arrives at JR's room to visit. He invites her in to sit down - let's talk he says...
Panic in Pine Valley
At the courthouse, Sean and Colby are miserable, but relieved to see Jack, Adam and Krystal arrive. Colby asks what her father has been able to do about the charges. "Nothing,' he tells her, "the D.A. won't drop the charges and this judge can't be influenced." Jack advises the pair to plead guilty and apologize.
The charges are read to Colby and Sean in court. It was a busy night, the judge says, these are serious charges. Sean tells the judge it was a big mistake, because he wouldn't have taken the supervisors limo if he had known who it belonged to. Colby says the mistake was giving the officers the fake ID, and that they didn't drink ThAT much champgne. The judge tells the spoiled duo that prison time is a reality, then calls for a recess to give them time to think!
In the courtroom, Sean assures Jack he'll be sticking by Colby since the joyride was his idea. Colby spends the recess begging 'Daddy' to do something, until Krystal paints her a scary picture of life behind bars with no Daddy to help her.
As the judge calls the court back into session, Colby announces that she knew what they were doing was illegal but she didn't care, didn't think about other people or what could happen. She asks for a second chance and please no prison time! Sean gets up and says he was trying to be cool - it was a big mistake and he too knew it was wrong, but didn't care. He says he was an idiot and that he is sorry. It's not enough to be sorry, the judge declares, it's your actions and what you do with your second chance should you be granted one that matters. The judge is ready to pass sentencing...
