Babe can't believe what Josh said to JR. And she's even more confused by his reaction—he doesn't seem angry. He's surprisingly subdued and doesn't believe what Josh said. He says he "only" believes Babe. But she says too much when she tells him she told Josh it was "over."
Adam and Krystal walk in with the news that the baby is a girl, and healthy! JR announces that he's fired Josh, and they're all please—Krystal is too pleased, according to JR. JR wants her to call Josh and formally announce that he's out of their lives. She doesn't want to, and he gets angrier and angrier. Finally he asks her straight out if she slept with Josh. The answer is yes.
Josh and JR are speaking angrily in his office. Josh says he may be a liar, but the truth is "I had sex with your wife. Now that you know, Babe can finally be free." JR is disbelieving, but Josh insists Babe loves him. JR is upset and tries to figure out what's next—and calls Babe a profane name. Josh is enraged, and tells JR that she's a "walking miracle."
Babe calls at that moment, asking JR to come to see their "dream house." He tells Josh that he will never have Babe—and that he's fired!
Bianca comes in at that moment—and she tells Josh that Babe loves JR—and not because she wants to maintain custody of Little A. He signed that over to her months ago. He's sure that his confession to JR will turn the tables, but Bianca doesn't agree, and reminds him that marriages don't automatically break up because of an affair.
She confides to Josh that the reason she's in Pine Valley is because Maggie had an affair—but if she walked through the door right now—she'd take her back. She explains that Maggie isn't willing to be monogamous right now.
JR shows up and the property, as requested. Babe takes one look at his face and asks what's wrong. He tells her that Josh is out of Chandler Industries. Kendall is there, and they disagree over whose house this is going to be.
Kendall rushes over to Zach's office and tells him about the house, and needs to know exactly how much money they have.
After they get home, Babe can tell that JR has something on his mind. When she asks him, he tells her what Josh said.
Josh tries to kiss Babe in JR's office. JR almost walks in, but is then interrupted by an associate and they overhear him. Josh goes on about how they love each other, but Babe says she has to protect her marriage. Babe is angry and tells him to never try anything like that kiss again.
Josh insists that JR will revert to type, and hurt Babe. She says he's her past—JR is her future. Josh begs her to leave JR; JR overhears her saying that JR is her future. Babe embraces him and tells him he "didn't miss anything."
After Josh leaves, JR presents her with a diamond necklace and they again talk about their new house and new future. Is there anything else she wants, asks JR? Yes—Babe wants Josh out of Chandler.
When Josh comes in to give his report to JR, JR tauntingly tells him that Babe wants him out of Chandler. And if Josh touches his wife, he'll go after him. Josh looks JR straight in the eye and says that David was telling the truth—he did make love to his wife!
It's Josh's first day at Chandler Industries. JR wants to talk personnel matters, but Josh is more interested in personal conversations--especially the subject of Babe. JR says that there's nothing to discuss. As they're talking, Bianca shows up to talk about the New Beginnings party and the Chandler Industries donation to the Miranda Center.
Bianca can't understand why Josh is working at Chandler, and he explains it's a way to keep Babe safe.
Josh is ready to tell JR about him and Babe—and Bianca warns him to be ready for the consequences if he does that. She'll be on his side, no matter what he does.
Adam confronts Babe with the truth, but she tells him it's none of his business. Adam demands to know if it's over. She says her presence is proof that she's committed to JR. Adam says he will keep his promise to Krystal, as long as she stays away from Josh.
Krystal comes in after Adam leaves, and an angry Babe asks how she could have told Adam. Krystal apologizes, but says she couldn't lie to Adam about this. Babe admits that she's guilt-stricken and can't stop thinking about Josh.
"Keep your mouth shut" is Krystal's advice. Put Josh in the past, and let her mistakes stay buried.
When Adam arrives at work, he's surprised to see Josh, and flabbergasted when JR announces that he's hired Josh. "He came after your wife," says Adam. JR says he'll keep his "friends close and enemies closer."
Babe and Josh are having a very personal conversation in Josh's new office--and JR overhears.
Back at home, Babe is upset, and JR tries to comfort her, urging her not to allow David's lies to make her happy. He says he loves and trusts her, and knows Josh is not a threat.
Colby claims she's been accused of stealing an antique egg. JR reads her the riot act, and lets Adam know how Colby sided with David, saying Babe and Josh were having an affair. She insists it's true, and asks Adam if he believes her. He doesn't, and he demands she have nothing more to do with David, and show loyalty to the family.
JR announces that he and Babe are looking for their own house. Adam doesn't want them to leave, but Krystal thinks it's a good idea. After they leave the room, Adam asks her it it's true that Babe slept with Josh. Krystal says it's not true, but Adam asks again. Krystal finally admits that they were together once—and that Babe regrets it. It's over, and Babe loves JR. She begs him not to tell JR. He agrees and tells her how much he loves her.
Later, Adam asks Krystal to assure him that Babe is over Josh, and how he and JR are the same, and could never bear the betrayal of the women they love.
Babe and JR are in bed, talking lovingly about their idyllic future—Josh is outside the house, eavesdropping. He hears Babe tell JR how much she loves him and wants to be with him for the rest of their lives. Josh leaves.
Josh, JR, Babe, and David are all standing together at the inn.
"The man who's doing your wife," says David to JR, pointing to Josh. He turns to Babe, and says he's doing it for her, to get her away from JR. Everyone knows—tell your husband the truth! Get away from JR—he's a thug.
What sort of father does that, asks Babe? Seeing that he's getting no response from Babe, David tells JR that it's not the "Chandler way" to be with a woman who's been with another man. Who's his source, asks JR? David tells him about Colby overhearing Babe's admission while hiding in the tunnels.
JR calls David a sick freak who wants to hurt his family, and tells him he doesn't have a clue. David turns to Josh and asks him to tell JR that he made love to his wife. "It's true," says Josh. "I'm in love with your wife—but I can't tell you I slept with her."
"All you've done is hurt me," says Babe to David. "I wish you would just disappear forever." She walks away, and David asks Josh why he didn't tell JR.
Afterwards, JR tells Babe how much he loves and trusts her. David goes home and as he's sipping a drink, Josh comes out of the shadows and announces that David's just killed himself—and that the drink is his last.
At the inn, JR invites Josh to have lunch with him and Babe. Josh tells JR to "go away"; JR offers him a job. Josh is shocked, the sarcastic. JR admits that it's a "semi-apology" and that he knows that Josh's business skills are outstanding. Josh says no, at the same time Marian Chandler walks in and starts talking about all the properties she's found for them.
While they're seated at lunch, Babe and Josh keep stealing glances at each other. Marian leaves to make a call, and while JR and Babe are deep in conversation, Josh comes up and asks if it's not too late to join them for lunch—or that job. Babe steps away and they discuss Josh's possible new job. David happens by, and implies there's a relationship between Babe and Josh.
Babe can't get Josh out of her mind—and JR walks in as she's dreaming of her lover. He has Babe spin the globe and choose a destination for their next trip.
Colby comes in and reminds Babe that this is her family—not Babe's— and that she wants her and her mother gone. Colby reminds her that she knows about Babe and Josh, and is challenging her when an angry JR returns. "Do you want me to make Colby disappear?" he asks. Colby yells at him for taking JR's side.
After Colby leaves, JR broaches the subject of them finding their own home, while Colby eavesdrops. They get on the phone, scheduling appointment with realtors.
JR comes to talk to Zach, and asks for his promise that he not help Dixie do anything stupid. Zach tells him that he has his own family to worry about now, and Dixie is his and Tad's responsibility.
Dixie bursts into Jonathan's, along with JR, who demands he tell them where Annie and "Kate" are.
They leave angrily, but Dixie tells JR that they have a connection that can never be broken—a "magnetic connection" she felt the first time she saw him—and the first time she saw Emma. JR assures Dixie that Aiden and Tad will get the answers she needs—but to not do anything illegal or wrong.
JR tells Dixie he's sorry for everything he said to Dixie.
