Babe goes to the hospital and stands in the doorway of JR's room - he stops counting when he realizes she's there.
Babe tells JR that since nothing seems real until she shares it with him, she had to come and share some upsetting news. "Is it Little A?", he asks panicked. No, she assures him, he's fine, but Simone died.
In JR's hospital room Babe tells him that she has realized that all the fighting that the two of them have done has not taken away the love. If you had died in that fall, none of the arguments would have meant anything, only the love. If you had died my life would have ended, she sobs. "I'm sorry about your friend Simone", he answers coldly, "but I've got to get some sleep."
Jon, Ryan and Annie toast Simone at the bar, while Josh enters and sits by himself fondling a white ribbon on a glass. Meanwhile, Danielle enters Fusion and Erin follows her in - they embrace. As JR lies in his bed thinking of Babe, she too is arriving at the office and is quickly drawn into the arms of Dani and Erin. The elevator doors open and Kendall and Bianca stand looking at the other three. Soon they are all holding each other and crying. Back at the morgue, Zach settles in on a chair outside the door where Simone's body is laying.
Love [actually]
Julia and Jamie are in JR's room; he's still in agony. When Adam comes in, he demands that Julia provide him with painkillers for his son—until JR tells him to "get out!" Adam refuses to accept JR's decision, and Jamie tries to explain that it's JR's way of fighting his addiction demons. Adam leaves, unwilling to watch his son suffer.
Julia offers to help him with acupuncture—but JR calls it "voodoo." Jamie tells him to stop acting like a martyr, and to accept Julia's option. He agrees. It works amazingly well.
Zarf is in the house!
Morning at Casa Slater, and both Zach and Kendall are upset and on edge.
Kendall and Zach both had nightmares. His is about watching a young woman jump to her death; hers is about Ryan announcing he's relinquishing parental rights to Spike.
JR and Babe also had nightmares about that Babe is offering him a drink, while she and Josh stand entwined. Then he jumps through the window. In his dream he cries "I love you Babe…I need you."
JR is moaning with pain because of no drugs. Bianca and Jamie come into his room, and beg him to accept painkillers. Bianca offers him her hand, and JR asks Jamie to leave them alone.
As he clutches Bianca's hand, JR apologizes for hurting her. "Tell Josh he can have Babe…she's all his," says JR. Bianca tells him that they've got more in common than he knows—and confides about Maggie.
Babe arrives. Jamie stops her from going into JR's room, and reads her the riot act. She insists she loves JR—but Jamie says that doesn't mean they should be together. Why don't you do us all a favor and walk away, asks Jamie.
Thanksgiving "celebrations" continues
Adam, Dixie, and Tad are in JR's room, where JR admits that it's because of "Tad and his Mom" he decided the keep living. Adam agrees to get along with them for JR's sake, and asks Dixie to live with them during JR's convalescence. He also invites both of them to Thanksgiving dinner.
Jamie stays with JR after Adam, Tad and Dixie leave, and questions him about the circumstances leading up to the accident. JR says that he thought it was a door, and that he "had to get out" of the room.
Jamie tells JR to get it together, and realize that he's hurting people other than himself—especially Little A. He asks Jamie to turn off his painkiller drip. Jamie tells him that's crazy and the kind of pain caused by a broken pelvis can kill a person. JR insists, and says if he can live through this—he can live through anything.
A Pine Valley Thanksgiving
At the hospital, Dixie finds Babe weeping on the floor. Is there any way for her make it right again, asks Babe? She's scared that she might lose JR—but this mistake might be her last one. Dixie reminds her that the hurt is very fresh for JR…but to remember that he forgave her.
Josh enters JR's hospital room, and taunts him about "always reaching for the bottle and proving his point to Babe."
JR tells him to "take the bi*** and go! Stay away from my son." Josh yells at him to never disrespect Babe, when Tad walks in. Josh walks out and is speaking to Babe, when Adam walks by, and sarcastically asks if this means her relationship with Josh isn't really over? Adam goes into a rampage, and Josh gives him the same warning he gave JR, to respect Babe. Adam suggests they both get out—or he'll get them thrown out.
"What are you doing to me?" asks Babe. She asks Josh to leave her alone—but he tells her he can't. "I love JR—leave me alone and leave my family alone." Josh leaves and Erica overhears the interaction. She tells Babe that she and JR deserve each other and it's best is she leaves JR alone. She rubs into Josh and Jeff and invites them to join her for dinner at the Valley Inn.
In JR's room, Dixie urges JR to forgive Babe, but he won't listen. She asks Tad to talk to him about forgiveness. Aren't they the example that it is always possible? He reminds her that their road to forgiveness has been a long and rough road.
Maybe it's too soon to talk about this, says Tad, but Dixie reminds him that it's Thanksgiving—a day that reminds us that it's always possible to forgive even the worst mistake.
She's right, says Tad. And that JR wouldn't be so upset if he still didn't love Babe. Tad speaks eloquently of how life is short and it's important to have faith that love will come back. JR refuses to believe that, and insists his marriage is over. Adam enters and wants to know just what's going on! He has Little A with him, and wants Tad out of JR's room.
JR says it's Thanksgiving and asks for a truce between the Martins and Chandlers.
