Bianca tells Jack that she is going to take care of the Thanksgiving Day plans since they haven't made any already. He informs her that he doesn't believe that Erica will make it. Jack tells her that he is not going to have her being a referee between him and her mother. Bianca insists that the holiday is about family and not about people being scattered across town. Jack says that he is not going to stop living while Erica is out trying to find herself. He insists that he is going to take care of the family….with or without Erica. Bianca gets a quick kiss and rushes out….stating that she has a Thanksgiving to plan.
Jeff tells Erica that JR is feeling more than his share of pain right now. He asks her to please have some mercy on him right now. He reminds her that he took an oath and that he will honor it as long as he practices medicine. She accuses him of always following the rules, but he grabs her arm and informs her that he is falling back in love with a married woman, and that he wants her very much. Bianca enters the room and sees the two of them together. Jeff leaves and Erica insists that he was just bringing her home from the hospital. Bianca tells her mother that this has to stop….before Thanksgiving! Bianca insists that Jack has no idea that she is there. Bianca tells her that she wants all of the family to be together on Thanksgiving. She offers to help Erica pack, but Erica insists that she is not ready yet. Erica insists that she and Jack have things that they need to work out. Bianca tells her that she is impossible. The two of them hug and Bianca leaves. Jeff stops back by to see if everything is okay. She tells him that Bianca is worried about her and Jack. She tells him that she doesn't believe that Jack wants to share anything with her. He tells her that Jack is a fool, but he is not. He tells her that he is here and he will fight for her. He takes her in his arms and kisses her while Jack approaches the door to knock.

Ryan's called Jack to come to the hospital tonight, and asks for his help.
Jack thinks the DNA test shows that Annie isn't Emma's mother. Ryan angrily wants to know why Jack always thinks everything he says is a lie. He urges Jack to file a motion tonight, and Jack agrees.
When Jack returns a few hours later, it's without Emma. She's in a good foster home, and he'll get her out--but not tonight.
::::JR is out of surgery::::
Everyone's waiting at the hospital for news. Tad is anguished; Bianca is still full of guilt.
Jack wants to know the truth about Jeff and Erica. She claims he's "dead wrong" and suspicious. Jeff says he's seen the way they look at each other. He wants her back in their home—will she return? Erica tells him she doesn't respond well to "ultimatums"! He says that's not so, and Erica accuses him of beginning the trouble, and brings up the problems with Lily and Jonathan.
Brooke walks in as they're arguing, and Jack stalks away. Erica and Brooke get into it, and Erica accuses Brooke of trolling for Brooke. Jack comes back and demands that they go back to the Inn and pack her things. Erica refuses, and stomps off. . Brooke tells Jack she's there for him—and admits she's attracted to him.
Back at the Valley Inn, Erica runs into Jack in the corridor and invites him in for tea. They discuss Josh, and then Erica apologizes for lashing out at him—and admits that she did want him to kiss her. She also says she loves Jack and will fight for her marriage with everything she has.
::::All they can do is wait::::
At the hospital, Adam is barking out orders; Bianca is telling Jack what happened—and feeling guilt-stricken. Jack tells her not to feel that way—JR brought his troubles on himself. Bianca believes that JR, while self-destructive, would never have hurt her and Erica.
Krystal arrives to comfort Adam, who says "your daughter has destroyed my son!" Adam lashes out at Babe, and says she's responsible for what happened to JR, and that her expressions of grief are fake. He threatens to fight for custody of Little A. Krystal begs him to stop. She insists it was JR's alcoholism that caused the accident—not Babe. If he takes Little Adam away from Babe, then she will take his child away from him!
Adam can't believe she's serious—but she is. He means the world to her, but if he won't back off Babe, she has no choice. She walks away from Adam and goes to comfort Babe.
Dixie rushes into the waiting room, and enraged at Babe, accuses her of hurting JR. Babe just sits there, saying nothing. Dixie walks off, and collapses into tears. Is she being punished, and faced with losing all her children, she asks Tad? If Emma is Kate, then he will get her back. But she promised Annie, says Dixie. But he made not promises, says Tad.
Jamie and Di are in the waiting room, with Jamie sorry he didn't break JR's hands to stop him from drinking. Erica and Jeff rush in, and there's an awkward moment when Jack sees them.
Josh arrives at the hospital, walks directly to Babe and asks "How is JR?" Adam rushes towards him, and without a word, punches him in the face. A melee ensues, and then Adam punches Jeff.
Erica steps in to defend Josh and blame Babe for what happened. Dixie chimes in and says it's Babe's fault. Adam agrees. Finally Babe speaks, and says everyone is right—she's responsible for her ruined marriage. She wanders off, and Josh rushes after her, angrily warning everyone to stay away. When he finds Babe, sitting alone and crying, she tells him to go away, and that she never wants to see his face again.
Julia brings Jamie a cup of coffee, and he admits how angry he is with his brother for drinking again. He wants Josh out of all of their lives forever. And he wants Julia back.
Kendall goes over to comfort Bianca, thinking she's upset over Josh—but discovers she's feeling that she's weak. She stood up to JR, why couldn't she stand up and fight for Maggie?
Jack asks Erica if she is ready to move home. She claims she still has a lot to do with the show. Or is it Jeff Martin, asks Jack?
::::JR Reaches a Breaking Point::::
Jack is sitting at Lily's bedside, looks up, and sees Jonathan at the window. When he comes out of Lily's room, they talk briefly.
Jonathan thanks Amanda for calling him about Lily. Amanda is horrified about making Lily upset and contributing to her accident. It's clear there cannot be any friendship between her and Jonathan.
Brooke is at the hospital, and they discuss Jack "bolting on the queen" [leaving the New Beginnings party.] Jack insists his marriage is "fine."
Later, Jack goes back into the room. Lily's awake, and he explains to her what happened.
Dixie has another day in court.
Ryan and Annie beg Dixie and Tad to call off the DNA test, before the hearing begins. Jack is petitioning the court to request a test on behalf of Dixie and Tad. He claims that Dixie was very ill post-delivery, and that Madden took her baby to New York and placed her with Annie. Dixie insists she was conned into giving up her child, and has searched the world looking for her. The DNA test is her only option.
Livia is representing Annie, who angrily insists she gave birth to Emma. Jack gives the judge a copy of the other DNA report. The judge reviews it and sees that it shows that Annie isn't Emma's bio mother. Ryan tries to chime in, but the judge isn't willing to help him.
Annie explains that Emma's father was an anonymous sperm donor, but that she is the mother, and the DNA results must be wrong due to a lab error. Livia calls in a surprise witness, the labor/delivery nurse who was present at Annie's delivery of Emma. She also has a copy of Emma's newborn baby footprints, which match Emma's current footprints.
Tad reminds the judge what a devoted mother Dixie has been, and how she's never stopped looking for Kate. An anguished Annie tells him that Emma's her daughter, and belongs with her.
The judge denies Dixie's petition. As they leave the courthouse, Tad tells her they'll "do what they have to do." When everyone has left his chambers, the judge calls CFS and recommends that they investigate Annie.
Jack wants his wife back:::
Bianca asks Jack how he feels about living like a bachelor. He hates it and misses Erica. She urges him to tell her his feelings, and that she's been gone long enough. Show her that he loves her.
Jack sends a lavish flower arrangement to Erica, and goes to the inn to see her, and express his love and desire for her to return. He directly asks her if there is something wrong with their marriage. She assures him that she loves him, but needs an escape from the chaos of their home. "We're much more than fine," says Erica.
Jack leaves happy, until he see who is living across the hall: Dr. Jeff Martin!
Is another Chandler baby on the way?
Jack tell Sean he can't expect a free ride and to cut the bad attitude, and warns him about the dangers of teenage sex and unmarried pregnancy. Jack announces that he's filed the papers to become Sean's legal guardian, and that his mother agrees. Sean is upset, but Jack tells him that he considers him his son. Sean agrees to try to get along.
