In Zarf's Valley Inn room, Babe is comforting a tearful Zoë when Jon breaks in and wants to know who Zarf is. Did he murder his sister? Jon calls Zarf a "sick, psychotic pervert who probably killed my sister." They get into a fight. Josh and then Ryan burst in and saves the day. After they leave, Josh insists that Zoë tell him the truth. Is he transitioning from male to female? Bianca deserves answers—they all do! Zarf undresses in front of them, and asks Josh "what he sees?" He demands that Josh look at him, and says "there's no woman here. Every part of her is gone. I'm a man."

Adam rushes to the police station where Colby has been arrested. She insists that Chief Frye has something against the Chandlers, and that's the only reason she's in trouble.
Jack arrives to see Sean, and they learn that Erica has moved back to the Valley Inn. Jack wants to know what the heck Sean was thinking when he drank and commandeered the limo.
Jack tells Adam that he has no intention of bailing out Sean, saying jail will be a lesson in consequences for the teen. Krystal agrees that's a good idea, and suggests that Adam do the same. He thinks that's crazy, but she insists he's "creating a monster" by saving Colby every time she does something wrong.
Krystal convinces Adam, and they leave Colby at the station.
Colby insists to Sean that this demonstrates that Adam really doesn't want her. The next time Sean's planning a road trip…she's in.
"About those gifts…" says Jack to Erica.
Jack and Erica are at home, as the New Year's Eve "swans-a-swimming" and "milkmaids-a-playing" entertainers arrive, along with dancers and pipers. The yacht for their intimate dinner is waiting on the dock, and it's getting close to midnight.
Suddenly Jack asks them all to leave, to Erica's dismay, and eventually she learns that the "J" gifts didn't come from Jack. To Erica, this makes their reunion a sham. It's not that Sean sent them, says Erica, it's that he didn't care enough to woo her back.
Jack says that they're happy now, but Erica says that this proves he really doesn't care about her at all. Jack shoots back with the fact that Erica moved out of their house—and took up with Jeff. She insists it's not about any gifts, and she finally understands that she doesn't understand Jack at all.
There's a knock on the door, and it's Jeff responding to Erica's emergency call. "Is everything all right?" he asks. "It is now," replies Erica. "Why did you call him?" asks Jack. Erica says it's because she needs another date, kisses Jeff and leaves with him.
Sean wants to talk to Jack before Erica makes her New Year's Eve appearance, but is interrupted by a radiant Erica. Sean has to hustle to cover for Jack when Erica talks about the necklace she's wearing—the one "Jack gave her." When Erica goes to freshen up, Sean quickly tells him the story of the scheme he and Colby undertook to bring them back together. He tells Jack that it's essential not to let Erica know the truth behind her jewelry.
Colby arrives to meet Sean for their New Year's Eve date and Erica overhears them talking about the scheme. When Jack comes to collect her, she promises him a New Year's Eve he'll never forget.
Erica and Jack are in bed, telling each other how much they love each other.
Sean and Colby are building snowmen and debriefing the successful getting-Erica-and-Jack-reunited project. A radiant Erica and glowing Jack encounter them in the living room. Erica is wearing the brooch from "J" and Sean is worried that Jack will act confused when Erica asks him to admire it, and acknowledges Sean as the person behind them getting back together.
As he walks in the snow with Erica, Jack says that they have a lot to talk about, but that he loves her. He says he wants them to attend the Christmas concert together…and Erica announces that she's planning to attend—with Jeff! Jack isn't mad, but says he wants to spend every minute of Christmas with his wife.
Myrtle is visiting a depressed Erica on Christmas Eve. When she tells Erica that it's clear she still loves Jack and should be home, Erica says that if Jack still loves her, he's the one who should come to her and apologize. Palmer arrives to escort Myrtle to dinner.
Sean comes to see Erica and tell her that Jack wants her to come home. He also hands over another "J" gift—a chocolate heart.
Josh next comes to see Erica, and he tells her that if he's had any part in the problems between Erica and Jack, he's sorry. Erica suddenly makes a decision and takes Josh and goes home, where she has a happy reunion with Jack. After she arrives, Sean texts Colby to let her know their plan worked.
When Erica returns to her room, she finds a box containing a jeweled brooch with a card signed "J". When Jeff comes to her room, she asks if he's sent it to her. Sean and Colby are lurking outside Erica's room, and then Sean comes in to see Erica.
Sean tells Erica that if she wants to come home, "the presents never happened." She doesn't respond and he leaves.
Back at the Montgomery house, Colby explains her entire plan to reconcile Jack and Erica and the plethora of gifts she's sending. Jack comes home and wonders what those two are up to.
