Birthday Party Fun!

Krystal is shocked that JR has lost Tad and everyone worries where he could be - and if he'll miss his entire party. Erica asks Aidan where Tad may have gone but he doesn't have a clue. As they all discuss Tad's whereabouts, he sneaks into the bar without anyone noticing. He orders a drink from Wes, who begins to laugh. Zach and Kendall arrive and Tad finally steps up from his perch in one of the booths, announcing his arrival. And the birthday fun begins! Babe starts up a few games, first up is Guess The Year - based on Tad's different haircuts! Opal and Ruth win the game and a few rounds of free beer! Julia walks in and greets Jonathan and Ava. She asks about Jamie and Jonathan makes a quick exit. Babe sees her and they talk about Jamie a little. Meanwhile Zach and Erica are showing the crowd pictures of Ian and Spike. Opal brings up Cochlear Implants, making Kendall uncomfortable. Jack arrives at the party, interrupting a hot kiss between Jonathan and Ava. He apologizes for getting her involved in the drug bust but she could care less; Ava believes the bust made her career and thanks him! They all go inside and Aidan distracts Jack with questions about Greenlee. Seeing the tension between Jack and Erica from across the room, Tad asks Erica what the deal is now. She tells him about the new talk show, which is hilarious for Tad. Jack interrupts as Erica asks Tad for a kiss. Tad leaves. Babe and Josh are talking about Greenlee, both wondering where she is; Aidan and Amanda are taking advantage of a few free drinks at the bar. She asks him about Di and he changes the subject to poker, hoping to get a game going. Krystal gets a few birthday tributes going and the crowds talks Tad's greatest hits. JR introduces an email tribute from Jamie in Africa. Krystal takes centerstage with a song. Tad looks around at the room full of friends as Krystal begins to sing "Our Love Is Here To Stay". Kendall talks to Babe and Amanda about Fusion and Ava butts right in with her two cents. Kendall basically tells her to get lost. Ruth walks up and asks about Ian and Spike, excited about the prognosis for both boys. Kendall cuts her off when she brings up Cochlear Implants, saying she has another doctor in mind. Meanwhile at the birthday-boy's table Joe, Opal and a newly arrived Ruth are regaling Julia with stories of Tad's past. Sean and Colby listen in and she learns that Tad and Liza used to be an item. She can't believe it and asks Tad what really happened. Colby asks about Tad's other lovers but Tad clams up. He tells Colby he is much happier not being Tad-the-Cad. Kendall goes to Zach, tells him she has to leave to express some milk for Ian. He says he'll go to but Kendall tells him to stay behind with the boys and the poker game and gets Julia to drive her. Julia and Kendall leave. From outside, Greenlee watches the party go on. She starts to go inside, hesitates but finally decides to go inside. Aidan catches her on the way in and accidentally hits her ribs. Inside the party is beginning to break up. Tad joins Krystal at the bar and they talk about Jenny for a bit. Tad kisses Krystal and it turns passionate. She pulls away and neither knows what to think about it. They go their separate ways.

Happy Birthday, Tad!

Outside The Comeback, Ava suggests a quick trip to New York to hit some of the hotspots. Jonathan turns her down, telling her it's time for a night out of the spotlight. She reluctantly agrees. Opal, Ruth and Joe are helping Krystal and the others finish up the decorations for Tad's surprise party. Wes, a new bartender, arrives and Krystal introduces him around. Babe offers to give Wes the grand tour. Meanwhile, Amanda and Colby wonder if Tad is prepared for the night ahead. Krystal isn't sure but is fairly confident that JR will get Tad there on time. She sees Jonathan and Ava and invites them to join in the party. They agree. Krystal stuns Ava by thanking her for the publicity that surrounded The Kiss, but warns Ava that she doesn't want any publicity tonight! Amanda can't believe Ava has been invited and warns her to keep her distance! Babe interrupts them, telling them to get over themselves, then she takes Jonathan and Amanda to finish up some decorating. Colby walks over and thanks Ava for helping to get Sean cleared of the drug charges. Ava shrugs off her actions. Josh walks in and talks to Joe about the family, still unsure of how to react to the big Martin clan. They find common ground in talking about Jamie. Joe hugs him. Ruth is creating Tad's favorite breakfast with Krystal - cereal and candy bars! "His dentist must be a rich man," Krystal says. Opal and Krystal talk about old times and karaoke nights from the past. She thanks Opal and Ruth for raising Tad the way they did.

Erica arrives at the party, hoping she hasn't missed the surprise. Tad isn't there yet. They see someone coming, hit the lights and hide. JR comes in - alone! Everyone wonders where Tad could be.

Zach Holds Ian!

Babe is beginning to field calls about The Kiss - everyone is loving what Ava did! Amanda can't believe it and tells Babe she is quitting with the handler position. Babe tells her to get a grip and back on the job. Talking to Amanda, Babe convinces her to stay on as Ava's handler to try to help the girl grow up! Annie arrives with Emma; Amanda takes her off to the back room and Annie and Babe discuss Ava's headlining ability. Babe mentions not being able to reach Annie, who tells her about changing the numbers. Curious, Babe wonders what is going on. Annie tells Babe a little about the strange phone calls, moving in with the Slaters and the other changes. Babe asks more questions about the phone calls and Annie tells her everything. Trying to calm her, Babe says the rose petals were probably just Fusion props that were misplaced. Annie is beginning to think that all the stress is only in her head. Babe tells her to fill Ryan in on the whole thing but Annie refuses. Babe realizes there is more to the story. Telling Annie about how she kept secrets from JR, Babe tells her that Ryan will understand and they will make it through - as long as Annie is honest with him. Annie isn't so sure.

Moving Day!

Angry, Amanda goes off on Ava for the kiss. Ava doesn't want to hear it, telling Amanda that she is the smart one in the situation. Tad and JR pass by, wondering what the argument is about but not stopping. Inside, Tad and JR tell Krystal and Colby that Jamie is on his way to Africa. He asks Krystal about the rest of the party and she shrugs it off. Colby and JR want details, too, but Krystal isn't talking. JR does a quick Internet search and finds out! He heads outside to see the girls, telling them he wants a seat for the next show! Amanda turns her anger on him while Ava laughs. Amanda tells him to bug off so they can talk. He leaves. Ava believes her trick paid off - because she has people talking again. "You think this is all real?" Amanda asks, telling Ava that no one is really interested in her yet and if she keeps it up she'll burn out before she even hits celebrity status. Ava doesn't believe her. Telling Amanda that she is in control and she has the power, Ava tells her handler that she doesn't need anyone telling her what to do or how to do it. Amanda thinks Ava is fooling herself. When Ava suggests that Amanda is simply jealous of her, Amanda packs up her things and leaves, telling Ava that she isn't going to be her handler any more!

Is Kendall Losing It?

On the terrace at The Comeback, Ava tells Amanda she isn't doing a good enough job of "handling" Ava - because she isn't being mentioned in any of the tabloids. Amanda could care less about Ava making it into a magazine and tries to concentrate on the next Fusion shoot but Ava goes right back to talking about how she can get into a tabloid. A waitress arrives with drinks, Ava wants alcohol but Amanda won't let her have any because she's underage. She gets angry when Ava keeps going on about her own "problems" instead of concentrating on Fusion and the campaign. Ava grabs a shot of tequila off a passing waiter's tray and downs it! Ava heads inside to dance. She grabs a guy she remembers from the photo shoot; he could care less. Ava pushes it and he walks away, telling her he won't be wasting any more film on her unless she's dancing naked on the tables! She takes him literally and begins to undress. Just as she is stepping on to a table, Krystal pulls her down and tells her to keep her clothes on. She goes back to dancing with the rest of the crowd. At the bar, Tad gives Aidan a new P.I. project to keep him busy. Ava notices the photographer taking quick shots of his friends and becomes annoyed because he won't pay any attention to her. Amanda tries to get Ava to leave but she won't. Instead, she grabs Amanda and kisses her! Cameras begin flashing all over the bar!

Moving On

At Fusion, JR watches Amanda and Babe run ragged trying to keep up with the sales calls for Fusion Green. Seeing him, Amanda goes to talk to him and asks him to stick around for Babe. He asks Babe is little A can go on an overnighter on his new yacht with JR and Amanda. Babe isn't sure because little A has been sleepwalking. JR makes a joke about little A sleeping in a life jacket, which annoys Babe. She settles on a day trip - as long as little A is home for dinner! Ava's new manager, Andy Conway, arrives to announce Ava's arrival - she walks in glammed to the nines and posing with every step. "Is that Paris Hilton or a pole dancer?" Amanda mumbles. Babe and JR are equally stunned by her appearance and her manager, who has supposedly gotten her several movie auditions - they are really porn roles! He tells Babe that Ava being the face of Fusion is too limiting; Babe takes offense. He shows her the contract, which Babe immediately tears into pieces! Angry, Ava lashes out at Babe, who tells Amanda to deal with Ava. Andy tells Ava she can't tear up his contract but when Babe shows him the contract Ava already signed with Fusion he realizes he doesn't have a leg to stand on. Ava tries to stop Amanda from escorting Andy out but he leaves anyway. Ava can't believe it but Babe doesn't take any grief from her - she tells Ava that she has two choices: stick with Fusion and possibly become a real star or follow Andy and wind up in the gutter! She manages to calm Ava down by showing her some "success stories" from Andy's stable of girls - none of them are the kind of successes that Ava envisioned. Babe explains that she needs a friend and a manager and suggests Amanda for the role. Neither Ava nor Amanda like the idea but she - and JR! - talk them into it. Ava leaves; Amanda asks JR to walk her out. At the elevator JR asks Amanda about Ava's contract but she doesn't know much. Amanda leaves.

Annie's Father Is Deaf - And Angry!

Jonathan and Ava arrive at the yacht club. A few photographers follow them in and Ava plays up to them. She becomes slightly annoyed when she sees JR and Amanda arrive and the photographers begin paying more attention to him! JR sends the photogs on their way and they return to Ava, who plays up to them once more. She turns to JR and asks how he likes to be famous. A photographer follows her and asks for a joint photo. He declines, but Amanda encourages him to do it, after all Ava's 15 minutes will be over soon. Ava wonders what that means and Amanda tells her she'll figure it out. The photographer begins shooting the two of them; Amanda rolls her eyes. Ava returns to her dinner with Jonathan and thanks him for putting up with all the madness surrounding her. Jonathan doesn't say anything about the way she makes herself ultra-available to the press. They kiss. When their meal is served Ava asks Jonathan if she should get a manager. He becomes worried when she tells him she spent her entire first paycheck on the outfit she is currently wearing. Ava asks him about Spike and Ryan, apologizing for focusing on herself rather than his family problems. Jonathan likes the distraction that Ava offers, however, and tells her so.

Across the room, JR can't concentrate on Amanda because of Ava. Annoyed, she reminds him that before he helped out Ava he managed to lose his entire fortune trying to get back at his father. Ava and Jonathan kissing across the room takes his attention again. When JR goes on about Ava and how the press keeps sticking them together because of the drug bust, Amanda gets even more annoyed. Amanda decides it's time for The Relationship talk but JR balks. She asks about dating other people, making JR wonder if she wants to get back together with Jonathan. Amanda sets him straight about her friendship with Jonathan. She leans across the table, giving him another option for their relationship. They both start laughing. They get up to leave and JR realizes Jonathan has gone. Seeing Ava practicing her autograph he makes a smart comment; Amanda pulls him out of the club.

Making Demands

Jack takes over from Derek with the media, asking them to back off so the police can take care of things. Behind the media line, Jonathan asks Amanda about her relationship with JR. Upset and worried about him, Amanda wonders why he didn't just walk away. Tad arrives and heads straight to Jack, along with Babe, Krystal, Colby and Sean. Jack blames JR for the situation. Derek tells Tad about Ava helping with a drug bust and also blames JR for getting involved. Annoyed, Tad tells them they should never have chosen a public beach to do a drug sting. Krystal asks Colby to leave but she won't budge. Babe asks Tad how things really are and he admits he doesn’t know. Sean asks Jack if this is part of the way they are going to clear him and Jack admits it is. Bereft, Jonathan asks Amanda what he'll do if Ava doesn't make it out alive. Jack and Derek have a private confab, hoping that JR and Ava will make something happen that will save the day. Talking to Krystal, Babe worries that JR won't make it out okay. She is worried, not only because he is in danger but also because he has been acting like two different people for a long time. Spotting Amanda, Babe goes to talk with her, reassuring Amanda that she will be okay. Adam shows up and asks Jack to let him through. Derek and Jack pull the tape so he can pass and Adam immediately goes on the attack wondering how many of his family members are on drugs. Jack outs Adam as the source behind Sean's arrest and he turns to Tad, blaming him for the whole situation! Derek goes after Adam and Jack pulls him back as Adam continues arguing with Tad. He becomes even more angry, then has a sharp pain and nearly falls over! Colby rushes to his side.
