Babe, Amanda and Annie have planned a huge welcome back party for Kendall and Greenlee. They walk in to the Fusion offices and are completely surprised by the party. Greenlee becomes quiet, remembering the bomb shelter. She is tired of being sick and not feeling strong; Kendall tells her to be patient. They each promise the other no more set-ups or backstabbing or lying. Annie passes around margaritas and the girls make a toast to the future of Fusion. Amanda sees Babe is working on some plans and asks if she can help. Babe doesn't want Amanda's help and tells her off for what she did to JR. Amanda tries to apologize and make things better but Babe refuses to listen. "It's going to be a long day," she says as Ava walks up and asks why Amanda even showed her face at the office. They start arguing and Kendall has to break it up. Meanwhile Greenlee and Annie begin going over the numbers for Fusion Green. Greenlee brings up Aidan and the massage; Kendall talks about her night with Zach and Annie brings up the sex-in-the-snow episode. Annie tells them how different Ryan has been acting. Babe talks to Greenlee about a new campaign possibility with Campbell's Soup; Greenlee says she'll think about it. Greens talks more about Aidan and seeing that Kendall is a little upset asks her what is going on. Kendall says she is just trying to find her feet again after the ordeal. Greenlee buys her explanation and suggests a double-date. Babe then goes to Annie and asks if she has decided to help Richie. Annie refuses to discuss the situation with Babe but Babe won't let it drop. Krystal calls, warning Babe to stop getting so involved with Richie. Babe is afraid Richie will be completely alone if she doesn't help him. Annie comes over and tells her that she won't be bullied into helping Richie. Annie takes the new campaign ideas to Kendall, who loves it. Meanwhile Amanda and Ava have a semi-bonding moment over the latest prints from the Fusion campaign and their shared history with JR. Ava tells Amanda that she and Jonathan broke up and Amanda asks if she can help. Kendall gathers all the girls around and offers up another toast, noting all of the great qualities of her co-workers. After toasting Kendall asks Annie to cover so she can disappear over to Ryan's for a few minutes. She forgot her bag and Greenlee tries to get it to her but a sheaf of papers falls out. The papers are titled "Charm". Babe leaves shortly after. Amanda and Ava stick around; Ava gives Amanda some hangover tips because she is obviously getting a little tipsy. Amanda and Greenlee are the last to leave. Amanda notices that Greenlee seems a little weak and wonky and offers to stay with her for a while but Greens tells her to go on home. She curls up with Kendall's papers and begins to read.
A Christmas Miracle
On JR's yacht Amanda finally admits that she was with him the night of Zach's accident. She says she just wanted him to suffer for a while, the way she has been suffering because of him! Amanda rambles on about re-naming the yacht and stuns JR when she tells him that Adam gave the ship to her! JR finally puts two and two together and realizes that Adam knows something about Amanda's scheme. She tells him exactly what Adam gave her - $5 million and the yacht - and then says she was going to tell the cops everything as soon as Christmas was over. She brings up the DVD, which throws JR even more. Amanda tells JR about his DVD'd confession and swears she would have given it to the police. JR realizes that the DVD Adam asked him to put away must be the DVD Amanda made. She says she still has a copy. JR hands her his cell phone and demands that she call Derek right away. Derek arrives a while later and watches the DVD, which he says does clear JR. Then, Derek tells them that Zach is alive and well - and no longer missing! JR wants to go to the hospital to talk to Zach but Derek tells him that he has to return to the manse until the house-arrest is lifted. JR leaves. Derek tells Amanda she can do a lot better than JR and then asks her to stop by the station house to give her official statement. He leaves.
Father Clarence Visits Adam
After leaving the mansion JR goes to the cemetery to visit Dixie's grave. He asks for her help. JR tells Dixie what has been happening with him and apologizes for letting her down. He tells Dixie that he is trying to do the right thing now, though. JR cleans off the grave, promising to stay sober from now on for her and for little A. JR has another memory flash and realizes it was Amanda who kept asking him to tell her his secrets; then he hears the radio announcer's voice, too. "I remember. I remember everything that happened that night," he says. JR goes to Amanda's. She tells him to leave her alone but JR won't back off. He tells her he remembers everything!
Not So Happy Holidays
Meanwhile on the yacht, Amanda is toasting her recent windfall and thanking the Chandler men for being stupid lushes! She watches the DVD of JR one more time, certain that she finally has everything she has ever wanted. Amanda opens a box of holiday finery and pulls out an expensive Christmas stocking. She curls up on the bed, alone, with her new expensive toys.
Is The End Near?
Amanda arrives at the Chandler Mansion where she finds JR, who is not happy about being on house arrest. They argue about money and they argue about the past. Finally Amanda tells JR why she is really mad: because he didn't respect her! JR can't believe his ears and tells Amanda that he did - and does - respect her. She isn't sure what to believe. JR kisses her and asks her to let him show how much he respects her one last time before he is carted off to prison. He deepens the kiss and then pulls back. "Tell me every dirty thing you've done," JR says. He is remembering that night! JR repeats the words but Amanda pretends not to know what he is talking about. She gathers her things and hurries away, not listening when JR asks her to come back.
Let's Make A Deal...
Adam tells Barry that they need to find out the truth about Tad's daughter Kate without letting Tad know anything about it! Amanda arrives seconds after the phone call and demands her money. Adam brings up the box of things she left last spring and asks if her "proof" this time around is better than last time. She promises it is and then tells him there is a change in the payoff - she wants $5 million now! She plays the DVD but Adam points out all the ways the DVD could have been doctored. Amanda tells him about the DJ talking in the background about a one-night-only event. He still doesn't want to pay and then insults Janet. Amanda deletes the whole thing off of her computer! "Is this where I'm supposed to pretend that this is the only copy?" Adam asks. Amanda hands over the real DVD and tells him that price is $5 million. Adam offers to grab his checkbook but Amanda asks for a wire transfer and reminds him that she will be testifying on JR's behalf so Adam better not get any ideas about making her disappear. Adam turns to begin the transfer and Amanda asks for one more thing: JR's yacht! A few minutes later the deal is done and Amanda gives Adam the DVD. He points her to the door but Amanda stays behind until Adam turns over the deed to JR's yacht. After taking it from the safe, Adam signs it over to Amanda. She blows him a kiss and leaves. Moments later Olivia calls to tell Adam JR is on his way home. He makes plans for JR's return and then tells the empty room that he would have paid much more than $5 million for JR's freedom - and loyalty! JR arrives a while later and sets up some groundrules. He tells Adam that he isn't at the mansion to rekindle the father-son relationship; he only wants to figure out what happened the night of the accident. Without saying a word about what is on it, Adam hands JR the DVD and asks him to put it in the vault on the way to his old room!
Providing An Alibi
Over coffee at Wildwind, Amanda watches the DVD of JR one more time, getting excited as JR begins talking about his evil deeds. She picks up a copy of the day's paper, saying JR will finally pay. She watches as JR talks about trying to kill Babe and faking the kidnapping. When he begins talking about Greenlee Amanda becomes very interested. "This little girl is finally going to make the Chandler's pay," Amanda says! She calls Janet's caretakers and makes arrangements for Janet's first-class care. Seeing an ad for a new sports car, Amanda orders one. She heads for Adam's. He is surprised to see Amanda waiting for him. He tries to throw her out but Amanda stops him by saying she has JR's alibi! Adam tells Amanda to go to the police but she refuses, saying JR owes her a lot of money! She tells Adam she wants half-a-million dollars for what JR owes her, another half-mill for her own pain and suffering and a little bit more to compensate for Janet's pain and suffering. She settles for a cool million dollars and gives Adam her number, in case he has forgotten from their last dealing. Adam finally connects the adoption paper he found a few days ago to Jamie. Annoyed when Adam doesn't answer, Amanda storms out. Adam picks up the adoption paper and finally puts two and two together. He calls his lawyer and asks him to look into the adoption!
A Step In The Right Direction
Babe and Amanda are working at Fusion - and arguing about JR a little bit. Amanda asks Babe what is happening with her and JR and doesn't believe her when Babe says nothing is going on. Amanda tries to change the subject but Babe won't let it drop. She can see how hurt Amanda has been by JR. All of this makes Amanda feel guilty because she knows he was with her part of the night and she could clear him - but hasn't yet. Ava walks in in her Colby getup and tells them both that she is done trying to save JR! Amanda makes fun of Ava's outfit but Ava ignores her. Amanda keeps going, though, and tells Babe about Ava's stunt at the jail. Ava defends what she did, telling them why she did what she did and informing both women that he refused to take a drink. Amanda makes another smark remark and Ava grabs her, in the process she knocks over Amanda's bag and a DVD case falls out! Amanda tells Babe and Ava it's nothing. They leave. Amanda puts the DVD in and begins to watch a very drunk JR on the night he supposedly hit Zach; the DVD is date and time stamped. She begins to question him about all of his bad deeds and JR spills everything - about Kendall, about Babe. JR tries to get physical but Amanda keeps him talking about the faked kidnapping. JR changes the subject and begins to rant about the Greenlee plan. On the tape, Amanda stares at the camera and tells JR he needs to be punished!
JR Receives Prison Visitors
Amanda, Ava and Babe all run in to one another at the Pine Valley PD. All are waiting to see JR. They had to wait while Tad is inside. JR tells him to go ahead and yell but Tad stays quiet for a while. "Hope is lost on me," JR says. Tad surprises him, though, by telling JR how proud he is that he came forward and accepted responsibility even though he doesn't remember anything. Tad tries to convince JR that he could be innocent but JR is positive that he did it. Tad leaves and in the waiting area sees all the girls. He tells them that he believes JR could be innocent; Amanda is the only one who thinks he may have done it. Tad focuses on her and asks if she saw him that night. Amanda lies and says she didn't see him at all. Ava says she saw him at The Comeback and he was out of it. Tad leaves, certain that something else must have happened. Amanda tells Babe to go inside with JR. She asks how he is and JR makes a sarcastic comment. "Why did you come here?" he asks. She says she wants to help. Quietly, JR tells her she is beautiful and that she deserves better than him. Then, he begs Babe to make sure little A turns out okay. Amanda is next on the agenda, only she isn't so nice to JR. Still annoyed because he slept with Babe she wonders if he really has no memories. When it is obvious that he doesn't remember leaving with her, Amanda is relieved. Ava shows up next. When JR yells at her Ava tells him she believes he is innocent! She points out that he was clean when she saw him before and after the accident. Ava points out that if he hit Zach and dragged him around the woods he would have gotten dirty. JR won't listen to her. Ava leaves, telling JR that he has done horrible things in the past but that this is one thing he couldn't have done!
At home, Kendall is dealing with reporters. She mistakes a nurse from the hospital for a reporter but realizes her mistake and promises to be there for Spike's scheduled surgery. She turns on the television and hears a news report about Zach. Kendall puts the kids down for their morning naps and turns on the television for a distraction. She sees a bit of Erica's show. Erica and the guest talk about loss and working through loss creatively. Angry, Kendall yells at the television that Erica only divorced her husbands. She snaps off the TV and rages about making potholders so she can forget about Zach! Amanda arrives to go over some Fusion information. They talk about JR and Zach. Amanda tells Kendall that she believes JR when he says he doesn't remember that night. Kendall says she wishes she could forget the way JR has. They talk about the New Beginnings show and Kendall says art isn't a cure-all for insanity. She realizes what she has said but Amanda doesn't take offense. Instead she tells Kendall about creative therapy and talks about her own sketch book.
