Twists and Turns

Ava passes out and Lily freaks. Joe tells her if they don't get Ava into surgery, she will die! Since Lily is her closest relative, Joe says Lily can authorize the surgery. Ava wakes and tells Lily not to give the go ahead. Joe tells her exactly what could happen without surgery; JR says the same thing, but not as nicely. Lily begs Ava to sign the forms and get the surgery. She hesitates and JR says he'll just go with another model - who isn't dead! - to fulfill his business plans. Annoyed, Joe interrupts them as they talk business and tells Ava surgery is now or never. Jonathan arrives and Ava asks for his advice. He asks Joe about the different options but there are none. He promises to be with her through the whole thing and then gives her the forms to sign. She can't because of the pain but tells Lily to go ahead and do it. The orderlies wheel her up to surgery. When Ava is out of earshot, Jonathan confronts JR about why he is there at all. JR defends himself, saying he ran in to Ava at Fusion. Jonathan tells him to leave. In the hall, JR is hounded by a slew of paparazzi. Joe orders them all away. JR catches up with them, points out Jonathan and makes sure all the photographers know exactly who he is. They already do and are planning to do a big reveal once interest has peaked. JR warns the photographer not to wait and tells him that one of the Chandler companies will beat them to the punch. Then, he gives them another tidbit of info - that Jonathan was once married to Lily - Ava's lookalike sister.

Oh, The Pain!

Ava is nearly falling over from the pain. JR thinks she's just putting on a show and turns to go. She orders him to stick around - or she'll tell everyone that she is pregnant and the baby is his! JR carries her in to the hospital, moaning and groaning and screaming in pain. Julia meets them and asks Ava to explain the pains. She leaves to set up a room as Dr. Joe arrives. Ava describes the pain, swearing she isn't on any kind of drugs. JR throws out the pregnancy possibility. Joe wheels her off to another room as JR realizes that Ava isn't faking the symptoms. After examining her Joe says Ava isn't pregnant - she has appendicitis and needs an operation right now. She doesn't want an operation and starts to freak out. JR listens from the door and tells Ava to stop fighting the doctors! She won't back off. Joe leads Julia out so they can conference, leaving JR to reason with Ava. He actually gets through to her, saying she'll die if she doesn't have the surgery. He brings up his plans for her and all the money involved, making her forget about the pain for a bit. Another screaming pain doubles her over but Ava still won't agree to surgery. Lily walks in, upset. Ava tries to convince her sister than things aren't that bad. Julia pulls JR out of the room as Lily begins running down what could happen to Ava without surgery. Ava explains that when she was a kid she had a bad fall and had to go to the hospital for stitches. Her mother basically dropped her off and left her with the nurses - alone! "I won't leave you with strangers," Lily says and holds Ava's hand. Another screaming pain comes and Ava loses consciousness. Joe and Julia come in, followed by JR, as Lily freaks out.

Moving Day!

Jonathan is surprised to find Lily in Kendall's old hospital room with no one around. She is busy working on Zach's computer and quickly gets distracted. Lily surprises Jonathan by apologizing for Ava being a lesbian! She shows him the blog with Ava and Amanda's photo. He tries to explain things to Lily - that Ava is just trying to keep her name in the headlines - but Lily doesn't understand that kind of action. She wonders if Ava could like men and women, or even be like Zoe. Jonathan tells her he is going to have a chat with Ava to figure things out. "Its like an addiction," Jonathan explains, saying that the more Ava gets attention the more attention she needs. He worries that she won't stop in time to save herself from a huge crash and burn. Jonathan tells Lily that Ava should be more like her sister in some ways!

She's got those feelings - again!

Zach is talking to Ian in the NICU, promising that as soon as he gains a little more weight he'll be right where he wants to be - in Kendall's arms. Zach sees Lily outside and invites her inside to tell her that the story book was a great gift. Lily isn't sure how to react to the baby or the situation, especially when Zach shows her how they feed Ian through a tube. Zach asks her to help feed him. Lily bonds with the boy, feeling like they have a lot in common.

Moving On

Tad tells Joe, Josh and Zach that Kendall is on her way back. Lily arrives to bring Zach a few papers but he can't concentrate on work. Josh takes over for him and Lily chatters on about Zach needing a closet where he can go alone. He thanks her for bringing the papers. Josh prepares to go back to the office to catch up on some work. Lily offers Zach a present - a book for Ian, custom made not to include red, that she plans to read to him. Lily and Josh leave. Zach is touched by the gift and begins to read the book. Kendall arrives. She apologizes for leaving and not telling him where she was going but defends her actions by saying she was trying to help Spike. "While you were gone, our little boy could have died," Zach says. They don't talk any more until Dr. Delano arrives, telling them that Ian made it through surgery but things are still tough and go. He orders them to stay away from the baby, not even stand next to him, until they are given the go ahead by him. He wants to keep things very sterile for Ian because of the brain hemorrhaging. He does allow them to stand at the window to watch the baby as the nurses wheel him in, this time in an incubator! Zach begins to read the book aloud to Ian, even though the baby can't possibly hear him. Kendall begins to cry. Zach finishes the book and walks away from Kendall, who follows him, asking him to talk to her. She tries to explain why she left - to help Spike! "It had nothing to do with Ian," she says, but Zach only sees that as a problem. He reminds her that Ian has been in more trouble than Spike since the moment he was born and Kendall hasn't paid any attention to that! When Kendall continues to apologize Zach tells her to stop, that he has to concentrate on Ian now. He returns to the window to watch the baby. Kendall whispers, "Always only you. Remember?" she asks, telling Zach that she needs him. Zach walks away, telling Kendall that their son has needed her for days now!

Making Demands

Derek hangs up from talking to Lenny. Tad asks for details; Jack and Derek ask him to just be calm. Lily arrives, very worried about Ava, whom she saw on the news. Jonathan talks to her, telling Lily that Ava was part of a sting operation. When Colby tries to play nursemaid, Adam angrily tells her to back off. Krystal steps in and tells Adam that he needs to see a doctor - and leave his daughter alone. Adam won't listen. Krystal opens a bottle of water and offers it to him. Finally, Adam opens up a little because of his worry over JR. Amanda and Jonathan begin arguing about JR - again! Telling Jonathan that she still thinks Ava is trouble Amanda tells Jonathan that she may also be good for him! Sean and Colby talk to Lily about Ava's actions to help the police, extremely proud of what Ava did and hoping she'll get out okay. Babe returns to Amanda, who admits she is really scared for JR. Babe reaches out to her. In tears, Amanda tells Babe that she has her moments when she wants to hurt JR but mostly she has fun with him and cares about him. The crowd hears a gunshot from inside the shack!

Derek pulls everyone back from the shack as Lenny walks out of the shack, pushing Ava ahead of him! JR is right behind and holds up the gun, telling them the situation is over! Police officers rush to take Lenny into custody as the Chandler and Martin crew head straight to JR. Ava immediately begins posing for the cameras until Jonathan pulls her back and hugs her tightly. Jack tells her Lily is there. Ava turns to see Lily holding out her arms. The girls hug!

Spike Is Deaf!

Jonathan meets Lily at the Montgomery home, trying to find Ava. Lily hasn't seen her but asks Jonathan to stick around so they can talk. Jonathan goes inside and Lily brings her computer to him to show him, statistically, how well she is going with the news that he is seeing Ava. She asks him what kind of birth control they are using, making Jonathan very uncomfortable. He changes the subject and asks Lily where Ava might have gone. She immediately begins to wonder if Ava is using drugs. Jonathan doesn't think it is drugs and he and Lily begin to talk over where Ava may have gone.

The Babies Are Okay!

Jack and Sean return from court. Jack has a new plan - if they can get Ava to work with them to turn in the drug dealer, they can clear Sean's record. Sean isn't sure the plan with work but Jack goes ahead. When Ava comes by to see Lily he sidetracks her, gives her the information and tells her to help. Ava, unsure of his real motives, won't admit to anything and tells him she can't help! Ava tells him about her contract with Fusion and tells him she can't risk her image to help him or Sean. Calmly Jack tells her that she won't be charged with anything if she helps them. Ava tells Jack to call Adam if he really wants to nab the drug dealing creep. Jack tells Ava he knows Adam was involved but that they can't prove it. "I will do everything I can to protect you," Jack says, promising that Lily won't find out. Outside the drawing room, Lily walks up and begins to listen to them. Ava tells Jack that she doesn't want to hurt Lily and that is why she won't help them. He leaves. Lily hides in a doorway. When he leaves she joins Ava, asking what is going on. Unable to beat around the bush, Lily asks Ava about the secret. Ava tells her that she got the Fusion job back, hoping Lily will drop the subject. Lily buys the story. She asks Ava about the drugs. They talk about Sean and the charges. Lily swears she will find out what happened with Sean; she believes the drugs were Ava's but they wound up in Sean's pocket by accident. Lily swears she won't let any of that trouble touch her sister. Touched, Ava tells Lily that she will take care of the troubles. Ava runs into Jack outside. She tells him that she will do whatever it takes to clear Sean's name.

Ava Is Flying High!

Lily surprises Jack and Josh in the waiting area. She is armed with a lot of research on premies and pregnancies and reports what she has learned. The more she talks, about the new baby and about Spike's abduction, the more Jack and Josh worry. Erica returns to the group, telling them the contractions have stopped. Jack wraps her in a hug. Josh makes a joke about food. Erica leaves to call Bianca. Jack gets a call and leaves to answer it. It's Livia, reminding Jack that the divorce will be finalized by 5pm if he and Erica don't show up to contest it. He asks her to stall as long as possible. Jack hangs up and then tries Greenlee's phone again but doesn't get an answer. Alone, Lily asks Josh if Kendall will be okay now. Erica returns to them and is talking to Josh when the doctors go running into Kendall's room. Zach comes out, telling them that Kendall's water may have broken. Just then emergency workers wheel Ava in. She is screaming and still high, fighting the doctors. They wheel her into an exam room as Lily comes in, freaked out at how bad Ava is. Jonathan tells her Ava took drugs but Lily doesn't believe him. Jack and Erica walk Lily out of the waiting area so they can talk to her.
