At the Montgomery home, Zach stops by to tell Jack about Lily's new job. Lily runs past them to the door, saying she saw a woman peeking in the window! Zach and Jack search for the woman, but can't find her. Lily gives them a description, complete with approximate weight and shoe size, then she and Zach leave. Sean arrives home and sees Barbara preparing Jack's breakfast. He interrupts them, as Barbara talks badly about Erica. Trying to get her out of the picture, Sean asks if they can go back to Seattle - now! Barbara isn't ready to leave Pine Valley, though. She tries to convince Sean that she cares for Jack, but Sean still believes that she is only playing with Jack. Hearing Barbara go on about Erica and Jeff, Jack returns telling her to be quiet! Barbara tries to backtrack, but Jack doesn't want to hear any more from her. Sean asks Jack to be honest with him about Erica's affair with Jeff and Jack tells him the truth. Disappointed in her, Sean leaves. Barbara pretends to beat herself up about letting the affair slip, and then blames Erica for Sean's indifference to her in the first place! When she keeps talking badly about Erica, Jack asks her to leave!
Zach and Lily arrive at Cambias and get to work. Lily suggests they start with a new name for the company and tells Zach she has a few suggestions. Footprints in the carpet capture Lily's attention before she can get started. Lily measures them, and notes they are the same size as the shoes the stranger was wearing at her home. She believes the peeping-Tina also broke into Zach's office! Lily begins checking employee shoes, but none of them are the right size. Zach believes she may be overreacting, but when a strange woman comes in to the office with the right size shoes Lily believes she is right! She asks bluntly if the other woman was at her home and the woman admits she was. The stranger goes on to say she didn't mean to scare anyone. Zach sends Lily out and then asks the woman who she is. "Have I changed that much?" she asks.
At Wildwind, Annie turns from Ryan, telling him to leave her alone and refusing to look at him! He finally leaves and from outside the door, Ryan begs to be let back inside. Annie doesn't budge, though and asks him to get Julia! Downstairs, Julia is preparing for a board meeting at the hospital as Amanda, Del, Di and the others prepare for a game of poker. Ryan comes in, pulling Julia away. He asks her to go upstairs to Annie. Jonathan comes over, asking what happened with Annie. "I blew it and I don't know how," Ryan says. Di comes over, telling Ryan that Annie needs the total package and Del, Jamie and Amanda wonder what's up. Telling them that Annie booted Ryan out, they come up with romantic alternatives to the dusty-stable proposal. Back upstairs, Annie lets Julia in asking, "Is this what I think it is?" Julia takes her fever and assures her its official - she has chicken pox! When Julia prepares to leave, Annie gives her one more request - send Ryan home! Julia comes back, asking who has had chicken pox and Ryan realizes the truth. He heads back upstairs and when Annie still won't let him in, he picks the lock and goes in anyway! Annie hides her face under the comforter as Ryan talks to her. He reaches for the comforter and pulls it away from her so he can see her face. He kisses her! The poker game gets underway in the downstairs parlor and the group tries to get Julia away from her work, but they can't. Lily arrives, asking Aidan if he'll help her with a blackmail scheme against Barbara! "I want Barbara to leave right now," she says, upset that Barbara's appearance has upset the balance of her home. Aidan declines, and Lily begins to think of other options. Game interrupted, the players have all turned to other pursuits. Jamie tries to distract Julia, but she is focused on work. Amanda brings Jonathan a drink to Jonathan, realizing there are still feelings between Jonathan and Lily. Amanda is understanding about Lily and the fact that he is going to leave ConFusion. She deals the cards and the two play another game.
At the Montgomery home, Lily runs into Barbara. She tells Barbara that she wants her gone from Pine Valley! Lily explains that she considered blackmail, but that she has decided on the direct approach - and asks Barbara to leave! In return, Barbara offers to take her shopping! "I don't want to go shopping with you. I don't like you at all!" she says and storms from the room.
While decorating her apartment for Miranda's birthday party, Bianca worries about what Adam will do to Krystal. Josh could care less. He feels that anything that happens to Krystal is deserved! Bianca can't believe what he just said and they begin bickering. Zoe arrives to help as Myrtle, Lily and Jack arrive for the shindig. They volunteer to help get things ready. Zoe asks for Lily's help, and she asks, "You look like a man, why are you dressed like a woman?" Zoe explains herself to Lily, who is very accepting. Barbara arrives to apologize to Bianca for her behavior at the Pine Valley Inn - and then asks if she can stay for the party! Reluctantly, Bianca agrees that she can stay. Annoyed, Jack wonders why Barbara would want to attend the party. Erica, Kendall and Zach arrive with presents. Erica suggests that they make their announcement to the group and congratulations are offered all around. Myrtle, especially, is excited about the baby news. Lily stops the party, asking if she can still be an aunt if the divorce goes through. Before anyone can answer, Miranda and the nanny arrive and the party gets started! No one except Binks and Zoe are concentrating on Miranda, though. Josh tells Kendall about Krystal and Tad and when she doesn't jump to tell him he was right, walks away angrily. Lily talks to Erica, telling her that she doesn't like Barbara being around as Sean pulls Barbara away from the party and asks her to leave. When she doesn't leave, Erica pulls her away, reinforcing Sean's words! "You better get out of here fast before we start playing pin the tail on the floozy!" she says. Still, Barbara stays. Across the room, Zach wonders if he will be a good father and Myrtle gives him her vote of confidence. Erica sits with Myrtle, who tells her there is a way back to Jack and encourages her to find it! Meanwhile, Jack offers Kendall his congratulations. As Miranda opens the last present, Zoe says there is one more. She has written a song for Miranda and begins to sing to her! Jack says goodbye and Barbara asks if he'll take her home as well. Zach and Kendall also leave. Bianca and Zoe begin to clean up the party mess and Zoe reaches out to her. Binks thanks Zoe for the song and Zoe moves to leave. Bianca stops her, and the two move close together.
At Cambias Zach gets to work, wondering if he really wants the job. Lily arrives, resume in hand, looking for a job. Zach is charmed by her and asks about her plan. Lily says she wants to work at Cambias, earning her way through Pine Valley U., and then transferring to MIT - on her own! Zach is impressed and offers her a job. He leaves and Lily gets to work at his desk. Jonathan arrives, surprised to see her. She tells him about her plans and he is both sad and happy that she is moving on. She offers to set up a meeting with Zach the next day but Jonathan tells her not to and leaves.
At Sean's apartment, Erica is surprised by Barbara's appearance. Just how long is she going to be in Pine Valley, playing good-mother? Why doesn't she just take on someone her own size - like Erica? Barbara brings up their past rivalry over Jack and Trevor, bringing up Erica's hackles. Sean listens from outside the room and interrupts the women before they can really get going. He hugs Erica, much to Barbara's dismay. Lilly comes in to give them the news - there's been another attack, but she doesn't know who was hurt. Sean and Erica hurry out. Left alone, Barbara tries to talk to Lilly about Jack and Erica's marriage. Lilly is obviously nervous around Barbara, but the woman won't leave her alone. Instead, she enlists Lilly's help to find ways to help Jack "relax"!
The two lost women of Fusion "fought like warriors" for the people they loved, says Kendall in her eulogy.
Jon tries to pay tribute to Erin, but is too broken up to continue with his eulogy for his sister.
The remaining Fusion women place roses on the coffins and hold hands, surrounding their lost friends.
After the service, Tad and Aidan ask Derek to let them help him find what appears to be a serial killer. He tells them to "stay out of his way"—and keep an eye on their loved ones.
Tad declines to go to the post-funeral reception, and stays to keep vigil at the cemetery. Brooke tells Dixie that Tad's gone off to a place where they can't reach him. What can they do?
Zach tells Kendall he'll be late getting to Fusion. He's going to look for answers. Tad is alone at the cemetery, except for Zach, who approaches and says he wants to hire Tad. Tad is surprised and asks who Zach wants investigated. "Me," Zach replies.
Does this have anything to do with the murders, asks Tad? Zach says there's a message in it—a message to him. He gives Tad a packet of information that he claims is "everything about him" and to do whatever he need to do to find answers. But what does this have to do with Zach, asks Tad? "Gardenia…and a single white ribbon."
Lily says she now only thinks of Jonathan "22% of the time." There are things she wants to tell him—but doesn't know if she has the right words. She doesn't "think about his face as much" and she no longer feels sad when thinking about him. She says she's getting better and there are lots of reasons to thank him.
Jonathan tells Lily he'll never forget her; she's "99.5% sure" she'll never forget him.
Erica challenges Jack as everyone in the dining room looks on—and says that it appears that divorce is what he wants, and flounces out of the room. Bianca and Kendall are unsure about what to do, but Josh goes up to see Erica in her room. He says he just wanted to see if she was ok. She ends up telling him that she wishes she could do something to ease his pain, but he insists he's "fine."
Jeff tells Jack he's "an idiot" and that Erica planned to return home. If their marriage ends, it'll be Jack's fault. He tells Jack that "the battle for Erica is just beginning. I just want to make sure it's a fair one."
Jeff goes up to see Erica, who insists that her marriage is over. She claims that Jack doesn't understand her—and expects her to act like a conventional housewife. Jack is 100% responsible for the end of their marriage!
"Erica, you don't really want a divorce, do you?" asks Jeff. Why else would she be so worked up? He admits that he wants her…but that the rest is up to her.
Myrtle asks Zach if it's possible if Erica is headed for Divorce #10—and the maitre d' tells him that this is the last Kane Thanksgiving at the Valley Inn!
Kendall, Bianca, and Josh are discussing their mother—and Kendall and Bianca agree that Jack and Erica are soulmates. Also, they insist that Josh's defense of Erica at dinner demonstrates that he's now "one of them."
Brooke thanks Jack for being a good friend, and tells him that the only way he can lose Erica to Jeff is if he wants to.
