Ryan comes to Fusion looking for Kendall asking Babe if she saw her. Babe snaps that she's sure Kendall is around somewhere making someone's life miserable.
Kendall is on the balcony with Zach sharing a passionate kiss while Josh looks on. They talk about how much they miss each other and Kendall tells him it's getting harder every day. Zach assures her that he's doing everything he can to be home as soon as he can. She replies how much energy it takes for her to pretend to hate him.
Ryan walks in on Kendall and Zach telling them they're crazy to be out in the open where anyone could see them. They tell them no one can see them but Ryan snaps they're lucky HE'S the one that walked in on them.
Josh frustrated, leaves Fusion without explaining anything to Babe but she tries to catch up with him. At the park, Josh recalls working on Madden feverishly trying to save his life. Babe finds him and he admits that he knows who killed Madden. Babe warns him if he thinks he's going to go off on JR again, he didn't kill Madden but Josh interrupts saying he knows it's not JR. He goes on about how Madden may have done a lot of horrible things but didn't deserve to be tortured. He spills out that he knows Dixie and Zach are guilty, that Kendall and the rest of them are lying! Babe can't believe what she's hearing but if it's true, it'll kill JR. He contemplates keeping his mouth shut out of "family" loyalty with Kendall? Babe begs him not to go to the police because it'll break her heart and JR's as well.
Back on the balcony, Kendall apologizes to Ryan telling him they'll try to be more discreet. But Ryan tells them how serious this all is, especially now with Tad as an eyewitness. Zach heads out but Kendall and Ryan talk, trying to figure out what to do about Tad. Kendall thinks Tad will listen if she admits to Tad that Zach and Dixie's affair is one big act! Ryan tries to dissuade her from telling Tad that because it'll confirm his suspicions even further. Kendall snaps asking if he's on her side because if he is, then he's on Zach's side as well. She goes to leave but Ryan grabs her arm telling her that she can't do that. Ryan asks her to just trust him but Kendall demands to know why Tad won't change his story? Ryan admits that Tad is telling the truth and Zach and Dixie killed Madden.
JR Accuses Babe of Hiding Something!
Kendall arrives at Fusion and Josh approaches her. He tells her that Erica busted into his room in the morning and confronted him. Josh confides to Kendall that Babe is his one friend and confidant. Kendall, slightly offended that it isn't her that he wants to confide in, tells Josh she's "nauseous" at the thought that Babe could be that to him. She continues that the likes of Babe who has continually put her whole family down could be any kind of friend to anyone including him.
Josh tells Kendall to "move on" with her feelings over Babe. She tries to tell Josh that she's flesh and blood and Babe isn't and she's also married. Josh makes it clear that if Kendall forces him to choose between her and Babe, it will be Babe hands down!
Zach walks in to talk with Kendall and tells her that Dixie's and his coffin has just been nailed shut! Kendall yells at Zach about Dixie and sleeping with her and that he wouldn't even be charged if it wasn't for Dixie. Josh tells him to get out!
Back at the office, Babe and Josh are working on photos and Babe snaps at him for changing things on the computer.
Erica Tries Again With Josh
Kendall and Ryan awake the next morning and she thanks him for spending the night. She jumps out of bed wondering why Spike didn't wake up in the middle of the night. Ryan tells her to relax, the baby looks fine. Kendall hugs Spike still thinking there's something wrong. But Ryan assures her that eventually babies sleep through the night and that's all it was.
Kendall thanks him again for staying and Ryan assures her he'll do anything to help her. She asks him if there's something more he wants from her? Ignoring the topic, he tells Kendall that daddy and Spike have a date today. Kendall helps the boys get ready and during it all they take a whole bunch of photos with Spike and his parents.
David Goes to Annie About Emma
Kendall kisses Ryan outside and tells him to come inside because he won't regret it. They head inside and start undressing each other, while talking about the guy spying on them, assuming it's one of Derek's men. Kendall apologizes telling him that it must feel like torture to do this to Ryan knowing how he feels about her. Ryan smiles and replies that is like being in ...hell.... After a few minutes, they close all the blinds and talk about Derek wanting to get Zach no matter what.
Ryan tells her they're the only legitimate suspects right now so that's Derek's focus. He tells her he has a vested interest to have this work out well for Kendall because of their son together. She asks him why he didn't fall in love with her long ago and Ryan chokes on his words. Knowing they're still being watched, Kendall and Ryan go into the bedroom and get under the sheets. They have fun making love ...noises... when Ryan starts to undo his pants and tells Kendall it's about time to give Derek's men a real show. A few minutes later with his pants unzipped, he carries out the garbage and yells back into the house that Kendall better be naked because he's coming back! Kendall turns out the light to go to sleep and tells Ryan they're grown ups and can sleep in the same bed, she won't bite.
Tad Accuses Zach of Hurting JR
Kendall wonders what to do next regarding Zach and Dixie. She misses him so much. Simone comes over to keep Kendall company and Simone asks how she's coping with Zach and Dixie's affair? Kendall tells her she'd rather not think about it at all. Simone pulls out a beautiful chocolate cake and hands it to Kendall. Delighted, Kendall tells her that's exactly what she needs. She continues on about Zach and Kendall tries to tell her to stop!
In walks Derek asking Kendall the truth about where Zach truly was the night Madden was killed. Simone offers to leave but Kendall tells her to stay with her. Derek tells her that much of Zach's story makes no sense. He persists, telling her that Zach wouldn't have left Kendall's side while she was in her coma just to go play footsie with the likes of Dixie.
Kendall asks him if he's dropping the charges against Zach. Derek tells her there's much more for him to do yet and leaves.
Later on in the night Ryan stops by to see Spike and Kendall literally jumps him passionately kissing him.
Jeff Goes to Babe For Advice
Dixie wonders to Zach if Derek will drop the charges now? He replies that he hopes eventually Derek will come around to believe they're having an affair. They discuss finding Kate, he promises they will locate her. Zach reaches out to comfort Dixie.
Kendall looks on watching the two of them share some ...intimate... touches but not hearing the conversation to know what's going on. She musters up the courage to ask Zach, as he leaves the room to ask him why he was in Dixie's bed earlier. He explains what happened and why. That they knew Derek was on his way to talk with them and Erica walked in on them first. He holds Kendall and tells her it's all going to work out.
Zach leaves and Kendall storms in to talk with Dixie. She tells Dixie that she's obviously working like hell to make this affair with her husband the ...real thing...! Dixie tells her if she has a problem to talk with Zach. Kendall tells her to play the part in public but not in private. Dixie plays dumb but Kendall tells her there's a camera in here and she's seen her working on Zach. Dixie tells her to just trust her husband. Unless you're threatened because you think Zach is attracted to me, replies Dixie...¦.
Kendall tells her that Zach is way too smart and way too in love with her to ever be swayed by Dixie's games. Kendall threatens her that if anything really goes down between the two of them, she'll go to everyone about this alibi being a lie and Dixie will go down...¦ ...DON...T test me... Kendall says and walks out.
Later, Zach meets up with Livia to discuss the case. Livia asks him straight out if she needs to be aware of ANYTHING else at all. Are there any surprises or concerns ahead? Zach tells her that the police is not going to find anything because there's nothing to find.
Livia tells him the odds are horribly against him. With forensic evidence like blood and fingerprints, it's hard to dismiss that even if Zach was set up.
Annie Goes to Ryan for Protection
Kendall and Jonathan talk, he admits the truth about his health. He tells her he lost Lily, it all blew up in his face. Kendall accuses Jonathan of toying with Lily but he insists he loves her and always has. He says he's not sorry he did it because he'd do anything for Lily! Jonathan tells Kendall about when he hit his head and was in the hospital. He continues that Lily came and hugged him, she let him hold her. Kendall is surprised because Lily hates being touched. Kendall assures him she believes him and she's on Lily's side wanting her to be happy.
Erica joins them and Jonathan thanks her for the support too. But Kendall tells him not to give up because he'd be surprised at what a woman would forgive. He walks out.
Kendall and Erica talk about Jack dragging Lily to court but Erica changes the subject and hugs her. They talk about Zach and what's going on and the brief affair was a ...one time thing.... But Erica tells her she just caught them in bed together!
Erica suggests that Ryan loves her and maybe she should lean on him. Kendall refuses to believe that Zach was in bed with Dixie again.
Ryan and Kendall Share a Kiss
Ryan and Kendall are at the bar trying to figure out how to make everyone believe that they're together. Kendall gets and idea and picks up her drink, shouting to everyone for a toast ...to whoever really killed Madden, she salutes them for killing a low life piece of crap.... Josh walks up on them telling him he'll pass on the whole toast thing. He's angry that she hit below the belt and she admits to Josh it was a cheap shot. Her and Ryan glance around wondering if it worked at all. But it's not enough she says, so lets' push this further.
She puts her arms around Ryan's neck and asks him if he feels like kissing her. He glances up seeing Zach return and then lays a heavy kiss on Kendal! Zach tries to pull Kendall away from him but Ryan tells him hands off. She's MY WIFE says Zach and tries to punch out Ryan. Kendall tells him to get out and Ryan leads him outside.
Once they're outside Zach smiles and tells' him he's figured it out hasn't he?! Ryan tells him he will do anything to help him and Kendall. Back inside a sad and depressed Kendall just sits there but Ryan walks back in to retrieve her and take her home.
Ryan Comforts a Raging Kendall
Kendall goes home and tears apart everything Zach owns but Zach is close behind with another audience to witness their ...breakup.... He asks if he can explain but Kendall tells him to go to hell. He tells her he slept with Dixie but he wants Kendall back. Ryan intervenes and attempts to calm Kendal down but she picks up a hammer asking Ryan to break Zach's knee caps. She jumps up flying at Zach but Ryan catches her and holds her down.
Zach again asks Kendall to talk but Ryan tells him now is not the time and he should leave but Zach tells him to go outside so he can talk to HIS wife! All alone, Kendall continues to yell and Zach laughs holding up his hands telling him he gives, they're alone now. He reaches out to grab her, telling her she's a very good actress but she pushes him away asking him what makes him think she doesn't mean every word of it! Kendall tells him this ...plan A... she thought was a last resort, only a tentative alternative but then she turns on the TV to see her husband kissing the wrench!
He reaches out again to hold her and they embrace with a passionate kiss. She smiles as he states that it's far too quiet in here, they'll think you killed me! She tells him one more kiss and then screams for him to GET OUT NOW!
Zach comes outside and Ryan asks him what he wants to do for a woman who fought her way from near death back to health to come to Zach and this is how he repays her. Zach remains smug and walks away.
Ryan returns to the house and tells Kendall everything will work out and be fine because her performance just now was so incredible he almost believed it. Kendall looks on shocked at his statement. He tells him that was worthy of an Emmy! She tells him that throwing out these wild ideas make him happy? But he replies back that he knows her, if she lost Zach it would kill her and she'd be far more devastated than angry...¦ and he already knows for a fact that Zach and Dixie DID NOT sleep together. Kendall is at a loss for words. Ryan tells her that he may believe Zach is capable of possibly murdering Madden but he'd never for a-moment-believe Zach would ever cheat on her!
Kendall tries to deny it and starts to throw Zach's clothes out. Ryan tells her it's easy enough to see that this gives Zach and Dixie an alibi and that he would do anything to help make Kendall's life right! She tells him to just continue being a great dad to Spike and her world is fine! But he tells her that he can help make this ...Zach n' Dixie... affair more believable. He wants to make people believe that ...they're... going to have an affair as well, but she tells him that's a very bad idea.
Zach & Dixie's Affair
As the staff at Fusion watch on, the Media has a frenzy with Slaters affair with Dixie. Kendall, watching from Fusion, looks on shocked and heartbroken.
Babe tries to convince Kendall the TV show is just gossip and there's no way Zach would cheat on her. But some of the staff chide in stating that there's no way they can fake someone shoving their tongue down Dixie's throat.
David arrives at Fusion to find Kendall, admitting to taking the picture of Zach and Dixie kissing because it proves that they're innocent. He tells Kendall he didn't do it to hurt her, he did it for Dixie and Zach. Ryan pulls Kendall away from David telling her they need to get out of there.
Later that day back at Fusion, Babe and David talks about what has happened. Simone gets in the middle asking her if she's happy that Kendall's a wreck. Babe gets in her face and tells her to shut it for a change! She tells her that she's not happy about any of this and wants to get back to work and back to our lives. Babe tells Simone she's far too busy with her real life to get off on someone else's pain like her. She's through with Simone's games and through with keeping score between them!
