Kendall continues to tease Ryan and do a bunch of bar games. She gets more inebriated and confronts JR. He accuses her of having an affair with Ryan.
Then, JR arrives and confronts Amanda and Jamie and yells at them for screwing up and helping to cause Dixie's problems.
Kendall tells Ryan that she's made stupid choices and that Zach cares more about Dixie than he does about her and Spike. Ryan tells her if Zach can't appreciate her, then he's the one who's stupid. "I'm not going to let you blame yourself…you don't deserve what he did to you."
"I want to love you," Kendall confesses to Ryan.
JR looks at the booze at the club; Jamie tell him that if he even thinks about drinking again. He'll break both his hands.
Lily comes out of her coma.
Jonathan is in the hospital room with Lily—"your dad asked me come and helped me out of a tough spot. You're safe—it's safe to come back. Terry's dead—the problem is solved—you are safe."
Kendall and Erica observe, and Kendall wonders what it'd be like to be loved the way Jon loves Lily. Lily remains unresponsive. Kendall tells Jonathan that she understands and that he's the only one who can reach Lily. "What you have is beautiful."
After Jonathan leaves, Kendall tells Lily she brought her herlucky dollar—"it's yours Lily, just like Jonathan."
Derek Thinks Jonathan Intended to Kill Terry
The police station is abuzz with activity while Annie and Jonathan wait to talk with Police. Jamal assures Annie a lawyer is on the way. A Law Enforcement officer starts questioning Annie. She explains that no officer ever did enough to stop Terry.
Derek enters his office telling Jonathan he understands why he had to kill McDermott – to save Lily! He treats Jonathan like a hero and Jonathan agrees. But Derek asks if Lily really willingly met him out in the woods? Jonathan realizes Derek might not think he's innocent and stops talking. Derek continues, acting like Jonathan went crazy seeing Terry and Lily half naked. Jonathan asks to call the hospital but Derek tells him he already did that and there's no new news. He tries to explain all the times Terry hurt children but Derek states "allegedly" hurt children. Jonathan explains that Terry made Lily believe he was someone else who had a mental disorder but Derek smiles reminding Jonathan that he did the very same thing.
Jonathan explains that he wasn't jealous of Terry, he was protecting Lily from getting raped by a child molester. He screams asking what's wrong with Derek? Derek plays the "bad guy" trying to understand and wonders why he booked a flight and purchased a gun 3 days prior to killing Terry? Livia, Ryan and Kendall walk in putting a stop to any further questioning and tells Jonathan to shut up. Derek replies she should go visit her husband down in jail! Kendall is surprised and didn't realize he was arrested.
Ryan replies that he won't press charges against Annie so she's free to go but Derek reminds Ryan that there's an outstanding warrant against Annie in New York. Derek tells Annie that her child will be placed in foster care until she can make arrangements to care for her again. Annie scoffs at Derek replying that he wouldn't protect Emma from Terry but he's going to arrest her?
She approaches Zach and he reaches out for her, touching her arm. She begs him for answers wondering why he went to Dixie when she begged him to stay at home with her and Spike. Zach replies telling Kendall he's ready to tell her anything she wants to know. She cries explaining that she's asked over and over repeatedly and wonders what's going to change now as she walks out the jail.
An Unresponsive Lily is Brought to the Hospital
Out of breath, Jack races around the forest and hears gunshots. Bolting toward the sound, he arrives at the cabin trying to be quiet. Entering he sees Terry shot and Lily sprawled on the floor. He approaches her asking if she's ok but Lily won't respond. Jonathan moves away from the wall asking if he's dead? Jack replies yes and Jonathan drops the gun telling Jack he doesn't know if he made it in time. He tells Jack that he saw Terry standing over Lily smiling and he shot him. Jack calls for an ambulance as he continues to try and reach Lily
Kendall follows behind the ambulance bringing in a wounded Ryan. The doctors frantically work to help him. Kendall turns to Annie asking what the hell she did? Annie is in tears and Jamal tells her she doesn't know the whole story.
The police come to the hospital to talk with Annie and she asks Jamal to take Emma away. Not answering any questions, Kendall replies for her. Julia offers to take Emma for a snack. Annie starts to talk trying to explain that she thought it was her ex-husband. The officer asks why she'd want to shoot her ex? She explains that Terry was let go from jail and he's a monster! Annie continues telling the officer if he doesn't believe her to ask Jaskon Montgomery because Terry has harmed his daughter too.
While Kendall paces the floor, Jamal and Annie talk about Terry. Jeff approaches Kendall and tells them all that he's going to be fine, he removed the bullet from Ryan. Kendall heads in to see him. Entering the room, she fixes the blankets on Ryan and watches over him stroking his face. He slowly awakes to find Kendall by his side holding his hand. Ryan asks where Annie is and Kendall assures him she's with Jamal. She tells him he's scared the heck out of her and tells him Spike and her need him! He tells her there's no way she's getting rid of him!
David approaches Julia and demands for her to get some blood work and such. Julia refuses to leave Emma alone but David insists stating he'll watch the little girl. David talk with Emma telling her he knows where she came from and offers her a lollipop but sneaks a DNA swipe from her cheek. He then gives her a lollipop and places the sample in his pocket while Julia storms back handing him his files.
Kendall approaches Annie telling her that Ryan is going to be ok. Seeing Derek, Kendall tells him that the shooting was really an accident but Derek responds that he's there for Lily who's been attacked.
Jeff rushes to Lily's side going over her vitals and asks for a rape kit as a stunned group plead NO, not Lily. As they rush her in to the ER room, Annie see's Terry being brought in and Jonathan tells her he's not going to hurt anyone any longer. Emma runs in but Annie grabs her and pulls her away from the sight of her dead father. Jonathan looks on at Annie as she approaches him. Hugging Jonathan, she breaks out in tears. Derek asks Jonathan to come down to the station with him to explain what happened.
Kendall heads back into Ryan's room to find him resting and watches him sleep as she holds his hand to her face.
Josh Has a Drink with Jeff
Erica comes to comfort and talk to Kendall. She confides to her mom that she's having quite the time being a mom, not knowing how to cook or even fold Spike's clothes. Erica assures her she's doing just fine and she appreciates being a part of it.
A frustrated Kendall talks with her about Josh and his animosity towards Erica. She hopes that Josh comes around and tells her she doesn't hate her just hates what happened. Erica disagrees but Kendall continues explaining that hate is such a waste of time and the times she hated her was horrible. Deep down, she continues she just wanted to love Erica.
They look on at baby Spike who smiles back. Kendall talks lovingly about Spike and how motherhood changes everything! She wonders if she even deserves such a perfect child? Erica replies OF COURSE she does! Erica goes on about all the great ways she is a good mother but Kendall has many doubts wondering how to continue on making better choices; referring to Zach and him bonding with Spike.
Erica reassures her that Kendall's life will not always be upside down and it does get better. She continues to tell her that Spike will grow up being strong, confident and beyond achieving everything he's going to want in life. Offering some true mothering advice she tells Kendall to remain vigilant and careful and of course Spike's going to skin his knees, maybe get in fights and even get his heart broken too but Kendall can be there for him every step of the way.
Colby Prepares For Her BIG DAY
JOSH confronts Kendall and tells her he's considering changing his mind. He tells Kendall what he knows and that he saw her and Zach on the roof. A shocked Kendall tries to convince him that it was a "parting gift" to someone she loved. Josh doesn't buy it at all but Kendall insists it is truly over with Zach!
Babe arrives at the office and talks with Josh. He confides that it was a good thing for him to have a breakdown because it's refreshed him and his soul. Kendall looks on watching the two of them.
Kendall talks with Babe and asks why she's messing with her brother's head? Babe tells her that she's just trying to protect him and contrary to her belief, Josh does appreciate having sisters. She asks Babe what's really going on between Josh and her? Josh interrupts, asking if anyone is up for a late night. Babe tells him she can't as she's going with her husband to his sister's party.
Tad Tells Kendall the Truth
Kendall tells Zach to stop playing her and tell her the entire truth. Zach, remaining evasive, tells her she has the truth. She tells him not to wait to back down and demands answers. He tells her he did NOT bury Madden, but Kendall tells him to make her believe it! Zach continues that he gave his word to Kendall that he didn't do it. But Kendall tells her that she's tired of not knowing everything.
She tells him to walk away from Dixie and never look back but Zach tells her he can't do that. Kendall is surprised asking why he won't walk away from Dixie? He accuses her of allowing Ryan of doing her thinking for her. She denies that Ryan has not influenced her in any way and tells Zach that Dixie is using him. Zach tells her no one uses him including Dixie. She tells him if he continues, he could be locked up for life because of her.
Why is he willing to sacrifice his marriage for Dixie she demands to know? Zach tells her she's the one sacrificing their marriage, not Dixie and Kendall doubting him is what's causing the problems. He tells her it's a matter of trust. But she snaps that him not letting her into his life causes the distrust especially when he wants her help without explaining the entire story and reminds him he's lied to her in the past. Zach replies that he loves Kendall more than life without further explanation for the CD or anything. Kendall, crying tells him he's put their future in jeopardy because of Dixie and to get out and go back to her!
Ryan, leaves the room telling Zach and Kendall they need to be alone and he runs into Annie. Lost in his thoughts, he keeps looking back at the door where Zach and Kendall are talking. Annie asks if there's anything he can do to help? Seeing Kendall come out of his office crying, Ryan asks Annie to go ahead with the project and hand it in but Annie tells him that the client is expecting them both. He gets everything completed and sits at his desk staring at the photo of Kendall and Spike.
Ryan beeps Annie telling her he'll be at home if she needs anything as he looks at Kendall's photo longingly.
Kendall asks Tad if Zach truly killed Madden because she really needs to know. She begs him for answers and that her marriage is on the line. Tad turning his back on her, contemplates how to answer her. He turns to Kendall and replies that he did see Zach and Dixie with Maddens' body. Kendall crying in disbelief, screams out Zach's name over and over. Tad goes over to comfort her telling her she shouldn't be alone and can stay with him. Kendall tells Tad that she does have to leave.
Tad Discovers Who Put Him in a Coffin!
Babe confronts Kendall and tells her she knows that Zach and Dixie's affair is not real. Kendall replies that she just came from Zach, giving him divorce papers. Josh interrupts them and stands up for Babe. But Babe tells him he doesn't understand what he walked in on. Josh tells Kendall to quit hurting Babe and once again, plays the poor me tune accusing her of wanting her to get rid of him just like Erica once did.
Kendall & Babe tells Josh he has misunderstood what went on between them. But Josh insists that Kendall was still taking a stripe off of Babe. Babe tells her she realizes they're not friends and heaven forbid her and Kendall have anything in common, while listing all the things they actually have in common. Josh walks out on the both of them not understanding why Babe would stand up for Kendall at all. Babe turns to leave but Kendall asks her how she forgave a man that tried to hurt her?
Babe is insulted at first, not realizing that Kendall was asking for her advice. She replies that she doesn't even know if she forgave JR and is not sure if she ever will be ready to do that. Kendall tells Babe she makes excuses for everyone and can't understand how she doesn't forgive JR. Babe snaps at her but Kendall needs a way to forgive Zach and asks Babe how to do that?!
Babe replies that she kept JR out of jail and did it because she loves him, she wants a family with him and believes he'd never do it again. Kendall has a tough time understanding but truly doesn't know how to forgive anyone. She complains that every
time she tries to turn the other cheek, she gets slapped with another lie. Kendall continues to complain about always trying to do the right thing and does not know how to get past much of what's been done to her in the past.
Babe confides that she's terrified that her doubts about JR will always remain with her. She goes over all the happy times she has with JR, even before he tried to kill her. Those moments seem worth it all until she gets smacked with reality.
Josh, at his room, frantically builds a coffin???? An assistant at the hotel knocks on his door and asks Dr. Madden if everything was ok because they've had some complaints about hammering and sawing trying to look in the room. Josh tells him everything is just fine and apologizes for the noise. Another knock at the door, Josh finds Babe standing there and tells her it's bad timing. Pushing herself into his room, she sweetly tells him too bad and then is shocked to see a coffin!
Kendall Asks For a Divorce
Kendall lays out the divorce papers explaining how she wants things split up and tells Zach she wants this over quickly. Zach asks her lawyer to leave so he can talk with his wife alone. The lawyer tries to explain that the settlement is more than fair and to settle this without causing further hurt by either party. Zach gets the lawyer to leave and asks why she's so upset? Kendall tells him she knows that Tad saw him and Dixie putting Madden's body in the trunk.
She asks Zach about the disc that was found in their closet and how did he get ahold of it? He asks her what else Ryan told her? She explains everything but tells Zach that he hasn't been nearly as upfront with her as Ryan. Kendall tells him how she hates the lies, the "lie" of the affair and everything else but she went along with it because she believed him. Now, she doesn't know what to think and asks him if he really buried Madden?
Zach tries to explain how he got the disc. She tries to understand how he ended up with it and makes him explain it all to her. Zach replies to just trust him but Kendall balks at that because she deserves to know everything. He tells her he loves her and owes her everything – "but the truth" Kendall replies. She tells him to sign the divorce papers because she's not doing this anymore.
