There's a stalemate between Annie & Ryan and Tad & Dixie about Emma's whereabouts. Annie is getting agitated, but Dixie insists she knows nothing. Aidan has searched all night, but has come up dry. While they're talking, Dixie takes off. Annie wants to rush off after her; Ryan convinces her to stay at home with Erin and Jonathan.
Tad and Ryan come to Zach and Kendall's, searching for Dixie, but she's at David's, talking with Emma/Kate. Then she turns to David and asks if he has any idea of the chaos he's caused. He tells her there's a private jet waiting for her, along with new identities, ready to take her anywhere she chooses. She doesn't want to leave Tad; David says the only way she can have a future with Kate is to forget about him. From this moment on, it's entirely her choice. And surprise—though he did this for her, he's not coming with her.
In the morning, at home with Kendall and Zach. He hasn't been able to sleep, worried about their future. They express their love for each other. After Ryan and Tad leave, he assures her that she and Spike are his priority—not Dixie.
Del shows up at Kendall and Zach's with his book proposal, accusing Zach of murdering Madden in order to protect Dixie. After he leaves, Zach is afraid he's gotten to Kendall. He wants them back the way we were. That'll happen, says Kendall, but it will take a while—but don't give up on them. Zach broaches the subject of them buying a new house, and Kendall describes her dream house. His dream house: anything that contains her and Spike.
Kendall and Zach are on the boat, having a heart to heart talk. A phone call comes in, about Spike. They rush home and find the baby with a high fever and listless. Zach is calm and comforting to Kendall as they care for Spike. His fever slowly comes down. The doorbell rings, and it's Del…with an important question for Zach. How does it feel to get away with murder?
Zach comes over to see Kendall, and he tells her about his interaction with Erica. She lets him know that she tossed all his wine, Cuban cigars and gourmet food when she was angry at him.
Kendall admits that she still doesn't feel comfortable around Zach; he takes her out to dinner. He brings her to the boat—the exact location where he rescued her from Madden, and where they made love for the first time. And where she forgave him. Zach wants to know if they can recapture that special time. Kendall doesn't know. She wants it back, but she's scared.
They spend a special evening together, and Kendall seems to realize how much she loves this man.
Dixie comes to Kendall's house to talk to her. They exchange mutual apologies for the "terrible things" they've said to each other. Dixie wants the get Kendall's input about how to deal with Emma, and how it felt to be adopted.
Kendall tells her that no matter what she thinks about Annie, she is a good mother. Dixie truly believes her child belongs with her—even if it takes some heartache to make that happen. Kendall tells her she doesn't consider her wrong to fight for her child, and that she could have easily been in the same position.
Tad assures Annie that a DNA test will eventually take place, whether or not Annie wants it. And if she's not Emma's biological mother and also didn't adopt the child, she may not have any legal right to Emma. They're going to leave, says Aidan, but they'll be back. Ryan says that until they get some real proof, they'll get no help from him.
Kendall and Babe discuss Josh. Kendall tells Babe that she's stupid to choose JR over Josh—a man who truly loves her. They both agree that they're attracted to bad boys.
Babe tells her that JR's changed and is devoted to Little Adam.
Kendall replies all they can do is love their men—until something else happens. She doesn't give second chances—except to Zach.
An irritated Simone tells Kendall about Josh leaving Fusion. They both blame Babe.
It's tense as Ryan and Zach go toe-to-toe. Zach says Ryan tried to turn Kendall against him—but he's ready to apologize. He acknowledges that they both love her. He admits that he blamed Ryan for a lot of things and misjudged him. Zach promises to be a good stepfather to Ryan's son.
Kendall overhears Ryan telling him to "move on" and leave Dixie alone. Kendall asks if he's going to do that. During the trial, he says he had nightmares about losing her. Now it'll be only her—always.
Zach tells Kendall that she knows what he wants; she says she doesn't know why she's doing this.
"You're here because you belong with me," says Zach. Kendall goes on [and on] about what a bad person he is; he invites her to leave.
"You're an annoying habit I can't shake," says Kendall, "and I'm crazy in love with you. Do you still love me?" [Oh yes, he does—and proves it.] Afterwards, she and Kendall tear up the divorce papers.
At the Fusion office, Bianca reminds Kendall it was she who filed the divorce papers—and that Zach has given Kendall a chance for reconciliation. Erica comes in, pleased to see her family together, and is saddened when Kendall tells her about the end of her marriage.
"If Zach wanted me, he would have said so," says Kendall, and Erica agrees. Bianca thinks both of them are crazy—that's not Zach's style! Josh derides Zach as a killer.
Erica changes the subject to her upcoming fabulous New Beginnings sweeps launch party. Josh says he'll come—and bring Babe as his date. Erica's skeptical.
An angry Kendall stomps off to the roof, and says "Get out of my head and my heart, Zach. I'll forget about you the same way you forgot about me. I don't love you!"
