Can these marriages be saved?

Dixie's at the Chandler's front door, saying she wants to talk to Krystal. Adam doesn't care and wants her to leave, but Krystal is willing to speak to her. Are you pregnant with Tad's child, Dixie asks?

Adam is this baby's father, insists Krystal. Dixie reveals that David ran tests on Krystal when she was in the hospital for amnio—and they demonstrate that Tad is the father. David is a liar, says Krystal—and he's set her up to do the dirty work. Krystal swears that her baby is Adam's. Dixie congratulates Adam as she leaves. Family is everything, says Adam—and that's his motivation. He will decimate anyone who tries to destroy that.

Thanksgiving Day Preparations

David tells Dixie that Tad is the father of Krystal's baby. He insists to her that it is a kick in the gut that Tad has a baby….and she doesn't! Tad walks up at the end of the conversation. Tad grabs David, punches him and throws him to the ground. As Tad chokes David, Dixie pries him off of him. Tad steps away and tells her that it doesn't matter if they lock him up. Dixie tells him that there has been too much violence and that she can't let him cause himself anymore pain. A bloody David gets up and leaves.

Dixie tells Tad that he is a good man and that even if she hadn't been there, he would have still stopped beating David. Tad asks her if she is okay and wants to know what David was saying to her when he walked up. Tad tells her that he can't leave David alone…not after all he the trouble he has caused! She tells him to let it go, but he tells her that he does not know how to do that. She says that you have to just move past it....you just do it. Tad says that he will…for now. Dixie tells him that there is something that she has to take care of and leaves. She promises him that there is real hope out there.

:::David is back:::

Adam and Dixie are at the bedside of JR, and he's trying to say something. It's…"Babe. I want Babe."

Adam tells JR that "he's on it" and later admits to Dixie that he wants Babe out of Pine Valley. Dixie urges him not to separate Little A from his mother.

Dixie returns to JR's bedside, and he tells her he's sorry about "no Kate" and that he "came back" because Tad told him his mother needed him.

Tad comes to the hospital to let Dixie know that David's left town. She confirms that he told JR to come back for her—and thanks him. He assures her that he's not giving up on finding Kate. She thanks him for everything.

Back at JR's bedside, Tad comforts JR, who is anguished over what he's done. Is Tad ok about Kate? He's not, says Tad, but he's going to find her.

Dixie is walking through the hospital parking lot when David comes out of the shadows. He tells her he was "disgusted" by her interactions with Tad. She tells him he's sick and evil. Maybe so, but she can still help Tad get his little girl. From Krystal, who's carrying Tad's baby.

:::More problems for Annie:::

David's at Dixie's, looking over the "Kate" gifts. It's becoming clear that he set up Dixie and Tad. He says that Dixie was his "one chance", and he accuses her of using him and leading him on. Does she feel the same pain he's felt? Dixie calls him sick and twisted. "I'm already dead—thanks to you!" says David. Then he takes a phone call from the hospital, and taunts her with the news that JR has taken a turn for the worse.

JR heart rate and blood pressure is unpredictable, and Jeff is trying to save him. Adam is anguished and accuses Babe and Josh of being the cause of all this. He accuses Tad of "going over" to Josh's side. Babe thinks perhaps Adam was right. Did seeing her effect JR?

Adam tells her to go home, insisting that her presence is detrimental to JR's recovery. Jeff comes out to announce that JR is stabilized.

Palmer shows up and announces that he's calling a hospital board meeting to discuss banning Babe from the hospital, in order to protect "the patient."

Tad is at JR's bedside, urging him to fight on—for Dixie's sake. When Dixie is informed of JR's problems, she rushes to his bedside to support him.

::::Adam spins a web::::

Tad and Dixie are at Annie's, waiting for the DNA lab results. Tad tells her that if the results show him to be Emma's father, he wants some sort of visitation. Annie and Ryan are angry and shocked at his request. They explain the medical condition of "chimera" and how Annie's DNA might not match Emma's.

The results arrive—Dixie is not Emma's mother. Tad is so sorry for Dixie, and promises to help her find her little girl, and thanks Annie for giving them the truth.

Annie is exultant that this experience is really over and that she's Emma's mother. When she gives Ryan a thank-you kiss on the cheek, it's obvious that there's chemistry between these two.

A sad Dixie goes home alone, and looks at all the wrapped birthday presents she's been saving for Kate.

::::JR is out of surgery::::

Jeff warns Tad that he will not let JR destroy his son. "Your son is lost, and you've got to find him. Let him know how much you love him," says Jeff. Tad goes to Dixie and tells her that they have to help JR get better—in a rehab center.

JR is out of surgery and is stable. He has multiple fractures and internal bleeding. Dixie goes in to see him; later Babe sneaks into his room, and Josh sees her go in.

::::All they can do is wait::::

At the hospital, Adam is barking out orders; Bianca is telling Jack what happened—and feeling guilt-stricken. Jack tells her not to feel that way—JR brought his troubles on himself. Bianca believes that JR, while self-destructive, would never have hurt her and Erica.

Krystal arrives to comfort Adam, who says "your daughter has destroyed my son!" Adam lashes out at Babe, and says she's responsible for what happened to JR, and that her expressions of grief are fake. He threatens to fight for custody of Little A. Krystal begs him to stop. She insists it was JR's alcoholism that caused the accident—not Babe. If he takes Little Adam away from Babe, then she will take his child away from him!

Adam can't believe she's serious—but she is. He means the world to her, but if he won't back off Babe, she has no choice. She walks away from Adam and goes to comfort Babe.

Dixie rushes into the waiting room, and enraged at Babe, accuses her of hurting JR. Babe just sits there, saying nothing. Dixie walks off, and collapses into tears. Is she being punished, and faced with losing all her children, she asks Tad? If Emma is Kate, then he will get her back. But she promised Annie, says Dixie. But he made not promises, says Tad.
