The court calls a recess to deal with Jamie's bombshell. JR confronts Tad; Tad tells him it's a good thing, since Jamie has put "reasonable doubt" in the jury's minds. He's standing by every word he's said.
Kendall and Zach share a charged look across the courtroom. She tries to rush out of the courtroom to talk to Jamie; Ryan restrains her. But what if Zach is telling the truth, she asks. She turns towards Zach and sees Dixie running her fingers through Zach's hair.
David sits behind Dixie and taunts her.
Jeff and Erica try to comfort an upset Josh, who tells them he didn't "ask for anything." He says he has to be there to see this trial through to the end. He just wants "an answer" to who killed Greg Madden, so he can put this behind him.
Babe sits down next to Josh, and says she doesn't know who to believe.
Everyone's at the courthouse as the trial begins.
The DA tells Josh that Dixie and Zach are "as good as convicted."
At the courthouse, JR, accompanied by Babe, asks Josh not to reveal Colby's action, saying she's 16 and made a mistake. Josh says the secret's safe with him.
Zach tells Ryan to take his "good luck speech and stuff it", saying Ryan's only interest is moving in on Kendall. He admits he does want Kendall—but not by default.
She's back!
Ryan visits Zach at the courthouse, and says he's been covering Zach's ass—despite Zach being an ass, since he helped Spike and Kendall. Ryan tells Zach that Kendall's put everything into protecting him.
Dixie admits to Zach that she spied on Kendall, and asks why Kendall isn't there at the courthouse. She tells him Ryan was with Kendall that night. Zach tells Dixie to stay away from his wife, and admits he still loves her.
Ryan and Annie watch Emma play. He asks if she ever thinks about finding Emma's bio father or if he even knows he's a father. Annie says he has no idea Emma exists, and declines Ryan's idea they search for him. "Maybe someday," she says.
Pine Valley mourns Colby Chandler.
Ryan and Kendall are discussing their relationship when Jamie arrives and says he believes Tad is behind the rumors trashing Dixie. Kendall asks if he thinks that Tad's lying and he looks stricken. He says he can't say anything against his father, and Kendall reminds him that it's her husband and future they're also talking about. Does he have proof? He says he doesn't—just the expression "in Dixie's eyes."
An angry Kendall tells Jamie that Dixie's expression means nothing to her. Jamie asks if they "know something"; they say they don't. He rushes out.
Kendall tells Ryan she had "one moment of hope" for her marriage—then says she shouldn't be discussing this with Ryan. He says she can talk to him. The doorbell rings and Annie arrives with papers for Ryan to sign. Kendall asks if it's true she's staying in Pine Valley. Annie says it's because Ryan convinced her. It didn't take her "very long to get her claws into Ryan" says a sarcastic Kendall.
Josh bares his soul to Babe.
Ryan and Annie are drinking and flirting in the club. He tells her not to leave Pine Valley, and that Terry's not her fault.
She decides she'll stay and they celebrate.
Babe and Josh Make Love!
Ryan tells Kendall that he wants to make love to her.
"I love you, but if we do this you have to understand that I will fight to have you in my life," he tells her. Kendall walks outside to gather her thoughts. She fingers her wedding ring. Ryan stares out the window at her.
"I'm sorry," says Kendall, as she returns. She can't make love with him. She says she does love him, and wanted to be with him. "My head's all over the place—I'm a mess."
Ryan says he completely understands. She says she not sure he does. She's furious at Zach and if this was a year ago she would have made love to Ryan—but now things matter. She can't drag Spike into their dysfunction.
"You and Spike are my family and always will be," says Ryan. Dixie was right, she says—I want and love you both. It's wrong, but part of her still hopes she has a future with Zach. If she gives herself to Ryan, it has to be free and clear—but despite everything, a part of her still loves Zach.
Ryan replies that he wants this to happen not for revenge, but because he loves her. He prepares to leave, and she asks to bring Spike home. They both play with the baby for a moment, then Ryan leaves.
Kendall & Ryan and Josh & Babe declare their love.
As they stand under the stars, Ryan tells Kendall that love can't be simple. "I'm giving you an out." "What if I don't want an out," she replies.
Kendall is feeling giddy, flirting with Ryan. Then she gets serious and tells Ryan he's always been her "rock" and she wants to be his. "You are noble and honorable and true—I want to devote myself to you and give my heart to you.
Ryan is in tears, says she doesn't love him though, and takes her home. As she's about to open a bottle of wine, Dixie arrives. "You're spying on me??" an angry Kendall cries. "You're a sick freak." Dixie claims she's there to get a few of Zach's things.
They bicker and Dixie tells Kendall that it's not possible to have "two husbands"—and that's what Kendall wants. Kendall demands she leave, and says Dixie can have Zach—she doesn't care about him any more.
Ryan assures Dixie that Kendall's been 100% faithful to Zach, and says this game stops now
Kendall and Ryan are drinking wine before the fire. She tells him he was wrong—she does feel love for him, and they kiss.
Babe and Josh finally kiss.
At the club, Kendall, Ryan and Jonathan celebrate. Kendall shows Amanda Spike's latest pictures rather than talk with Ryan. Jonathan is flirting with the gals in the club. They ask if he's married, and he assures them he's "available." Del offers to set him up. Amanda tells him he's thoughtless and insensitive. She says Jon heart is broken. He accuses her of being sweet on Jonathan.
Jonathan tells Ryan and Amanda it's over between him and Lily. Ryan says he knows what she means to him and is skeptical that Jonathan really believes it's over.
Jamie suggests to Julia that they go to his house to make their reunion "official". Julia declines, and tells him there isn't going to be any reunion. It's been exciting and fun, she says, but it's over and time to move on. They kiss and he leaves. Later in the evening, they both admit to others that they're in love.
