Babe Is Attacked!

At the casino apartment, Ryan and Kendall argue over custody of Spike. Kendall wants to keep her son with her - and away from Annie. Ryan only wants to keep the boy safe. Can't Kendall see she and Zach are both targets? Spike will be safer with him! Kendall disagrees - the casino is a fortress. No one can get to her, Zach or Spike there! When Ryan asks for his help, Zach backs Kendall up, saying this is her decision and he'll stand by her. Kendall brings up Emma - this is retaliation isn't it? Tad arrives, interrupting the argument. The killer wants a face to face meeting with Ryan! Zach can't believe what the two men did, but he likes the plan. Seeing the faxed note, Kendall realizes Jenkins can't be the killer. They are still in danger! Ryan, Tad and Zach prepare to leave to meet the killer and Kendall stops them. They can't go, this is what the police are for! Zach grabs a gun as Ryan tells Kendall they'll finish their discussion when he returns. Zach takes Kendall in his arms, assuring her he'll be right back before leaving with the others. Josh arrives a few minutes later, angry over JR and Babe. Kendall doesn't really care and tells Josh so! Zach, Ryan and even Tad are in huge danger - that's more important than him misplacing Babe! Josh storms out. A guard knocks on the door with a note for Kendall. It was left at the front door! Kendall opens the note which reads, "Leave him or you die"!

At the pump house, Tad and Zach wait in darkened areas while Ryan enters the main room. Ryan paces about, waiting for the killer to arrive. He looks outside but sees nothing, and settles in to wait.

Playing With Fire

At the Fusion offices, Ryan and Tad put their plan in action. Ryan is going to reach out to the killer - just as the killer reached out to him! The killer has been listening all this time, now they can catch him because of his eavesdropping. On the same page, both men go inside and begin arguing over Zach. Ryan checks to make sure the bug is still in place and tells anyone listening he'll do anything to protect Kendall - even removing Zach from the picture. Permanently! If the killer targeted Zach, Ryan would stand back and watch! Tad questions Ryan's motives, but he keeps talking. What if Zach has a "little accident". They could blame the Satin Slayer and get away with murder! Tad tells Ryan he's going to forget the meeting ever took place and pretends to leave the office. At the elevator, Tad crosses his fingers for Ryan, who takes the elevator down. Tad returns inside, where he studies a picture of Simone. A fax arrives from the killer - telling Ryan to meet him at the pump house!

At the penthouse, Kendall barges in telling Annie she wants Spike - but Emma has a different idea! Her brother Spike should stay with their daddy! Annie sends Emma out of the room and Kendall goes on the attack. Emma will never have Spike as a full-time brother, she's taking him home! Annie tries to convince Kendall to leave Spike with her, he'll be safer there. Angry that Annie considers Spike a part of her family, Kendall tells her that Spike is her child. Hers! She leaves. Ryan arrives as Annie is trying to reach him on the phone; Emma hurries in, telling him Spike is gone! "Those damn Kane women were here all day," Annie exclaims. Ryan is angry that Kendall took Spike and leaves to straighten her out!

Back at the casino apartment, Zach remembers his father comforting him after Amelia's death. Kendall arrives with Spike, angering Zach. "You're taking him back to the penthouse - right now!" he says. Kendall tells Zach they are safe. Jenkins is in custody and Spike is staying with them. Zach tells Kendall they don't have any evidence against Jenkins, and tells her they can't put Spike in danger just because she is jealous of Annie! Zach tells her that he pushed every button of Jenkins' he can think of and the man didn't react. Jenkins wants to take care of Zach - because he is Amelia's kid! Zach doesn't believe he is the killer, and that means Kendall is still in danger. Kendall doesn't care. She is keeping Spike! Ryan arrives, demanding Spike - or he'll take Kendall to court!

Decisions, Decisions

At the police station, Jack continues questioning Jenkins, though things seem to be at a standstill. Zach arrives, and volunteers to go one on one with the nurse! Inside, Zach pulls a picture of Amelia from his wallet. He wants only one thing from Jenkins: his mother back. "Can you give her to me?" he asks. Jenkins tells Zach about the first time he met Amelia - she was doing needlepoint in the garden. Did he love her? Jenkins admits he did love Amelia, and she loved him. Did she also love his father? Jenkins tells Zach she loved him, in her way, but he doesn't believe Alexander, Sr. ever loved Amelia. She was a plaything to him. Zach asks why Jenkins is in Pine Valley now. "For you, of course," Jenkins says. He knows Amelia had plans for he and Michael. First, to get them out of the house and then for both to grow up to be happy adults. Seeing how Michael grew up would have broken her heart; it would have broken her heart, too, to learn of Zach's early death. He came to Pine Valley to make sure Zach would have a better life! Zach tells Jenkins he pushed Amelia, he killed her, but Jenkins disagrees. It wasn't Zach, it was Alexander, Sr!

Outside the interrogation room, Ryan and Tad go over crime scene photos. Ryan asks Tad if Jenkins is capable of the murders but Tad doesn't have an answer. All they know is that the killer is isolated and watching them. Ryan tells Tad he has a plan that he thinks could work to draw the killer out.

Ultimatums and Decisions

Ryan arrives home from the gala to find Annie asleep on the couch. He covers her with a blanket and she wakes up. Ryan updates Annie, and wonders where Jenkins was when his sister and Simone were killed and Dani was attacked. They talk for a bit and Annie shows him a Valentine's costume she is making for Emma. Ryan offers to help, but is taken aback when Annie tells him she may move to Wildwind. She has come to a decision about Emma! Though she isn't used to sharing Emma, she wants Emma to know Ryan is her father.
"Congratulations, Dad," she says! Ryan pulls Annie into a bear hug. This doesn't change anything - she wants to be friends, but she doesn't want Emma to get the wrong idea. That is why she needs to move. Ryan tells her he agrees, but he doesn't really. He wants to move forward with Annie, to see if they can build a real relationship. Ryan doesn't know that Annie feels the same way: both of them want to move forward with their relationship but neither will say the words!

More Questions Without Answers

Meanwhile inside the gala Zach, Aidan and Ryan burst through the terrace door as the stranger approaches Kendall! Tad calls the police as the stranger says, "You're not her?" Angry, Zach asks how the stranger knew Amelia, but the man doesn't answer. They take him inside and continue shooting questions at the man, who can't answer. Derek and Jack arrive as JR comes in to the room. What are they doing with Jenkins? JR introduces them to Raymond Jenkins, his nurse! Zach remembers Jenkins from when he was a boy. The man wanted to run away with Amelia. Finally able to speak, Jenkins tells Zach he didn't hurt his mother - and he wouldn't hurt Zach, either. "I did not kill anyone!" Jenkins says. Babe arrives; JR tells her someone has been living a lie. Does she know who? Without waiting for an answer he tells her Jenkins is a suspect in the murders. As Josh enters, JR asks Jamie to take him home. Derek and Jack begin asking more questions and
Jenkins explains that he waited for Amelia that day but she never came to him. Derek and Jack take Jenkins away against Zach's wishes. He wants to question the man! Kenny steps up beside Kendall, wondering if he is finally off the hook. Befuddled by Jenkins and Kenny's question, Kendall stays quiet. The partygoers begin leaving but Ryan waits. Kendall takes her annoyance out on him, telling him to leave and take care of their son. Kendall finds Zach alone on the terrace. Seeing Jenkins has brought back memories from his childhood - arguing and fighting. It wasn't Jenkins voice he heard, though, it was his father!

It's Party Time!

Zach and Kendall arrive at the casino, both are nervous about the night ahead but are ready to get started. Zach remembers the night his mother died - she seemed happy. Zach takes Kendall in his arms. He can't lose her! Ryan and Josh arrive at the same time. Josh is angry and Kendall leads him from the balcony to explain her reasons for the party. Still on the balcony, Ryan shows Zach the note from the killer. The Satin Slayer is watching them. All of the time! Is Zach ready for whatever happens tonight? Anxious, Zach asks Ryan for a favor. Can he help keep Kendall safe? Of course. Meanwhile, inside the ballroom, Kendall tells Josh to get on board or leave. She has to do this. Palmer and Opal arrive as Zach and Ryan come back inside, telling the growing crowd the real reason for the party. "Let me at the bastard," Palmer exclaims! One of the first guests to arrive is Kenny Adler. Could they be looking at the killer, Kendall and Zach wonder? A reporter comes to the door and asks Kendall why she is throwing a party. Kendall hands the reporter off to Opal to talk about Dixie. Inside the ballroom, Babe and JR seem to come to an understanding. Josh comes over, angry that JR allowed Babe to come. Jamie, JR and Babe tell Josh to leave. From across the courtyard, someone is watching the goings on. Jonathan and Amanda see Kenny and decide to keep an eye on him. Kendall gets Ryan alone, asking him why he is at the party when he is obviously still angry with her. Why isn't he with Annie and Emma? Because he cares about her, Ryan says, he is there to protect her. Kendall tells Ryan about Annie's visit to Fusion. She believes Annie is already trying to drive a wedge between them. Can he prove that Emma won't cost Spike anything? Without waiting for his answer, Kendall moves off into the crowd.

Questions Without Answers

At the penthouse, Ryan comforts a sick Emma with a "doctor" teddy bear. It's his first act as her dad! Emma tells Ryan that her tummy started hurting after a mean boy laughed at her. Ryan's advice - laugh right back at the mean boy. They practice laughing and Emma soon feels better; he takes Emma back to school.
