At the apartment, Annie worries because the kidnapper hasn't called. Greenlee says they need to call the police but Annie doesn't like that. Just then the kidnapper calls with an address; Ryan writes down the instructions. He tells the kidnapper they won't hand over the cash unless they need Emma; the kidnapper hangs up! Greenlee convinces Ryan to let Aidan help them bug the money. He leaves. Annie angrily tells Greenlee she knows what Greenlee is up to – making sure Emma never comes home! She tells Greenlee that she sees through her act and tells her to get out. Greenlee goes to the hall. Annie picks up the bag of money and directions and sneaks out the back! Ryan returns and takes Greenlee back inside – they realize Annie and the money are gone! They hurry to catch up with her.
Will You Save My Daughter?
In the motel room, Ryan turns on Aidan and tells him that he could have ruined everything for Emma by tapping their phones and showing up. He grabs Aidan and slams him against the wall. "Oh, you want me to respect your boundaries now?" Aidan says sarcastically. He says they have to make a fake drop. Ryan tells Annie that they'll get Emma back. Annie freaks out when the screen goes blank and she can't see Emma. She has an asthma attack and Ryan grabs her inhaler, telling her that they are a team. Annie hugs him.
Ryan and Annie get to the apartment and his banker says he can't free up the $10 million for several weeks but Ryan can have $2 million. Annie says she'll give up her 401K and Ryan angrily tells her to be quiet so he can think. He apologizes. Annie asks if they can go to Zach but Ryan says they can't bother Zach with Kendall in the shape she is in. She grabs the phone to call him anyway and he grabs it away from her. Greenlee arrives and asks if she can help. Ryan says they have things under control but Annie butts in and asks if Greenlee has $8 million so they can come up with the full ransom amount. Greenlee says she'll do it! She calls her banker and Ryan returns with a bag for the cash. He insists on going with her, which annoys Annie. Greenlee and Ryan return a while later; Annie is asleep so they go to the terrace to talk. Ryan says he wants peace for everyone – including them. Annie wakes and sees them outside.
Angie Meets Rebecca!
The phone rings at the penthouse and a distorted voice tells Ryan and Annie to come to a seedy motel. They are on the way out the door when Jesse arrives! They say they were on the way to the police station; Jesse says there is no news but he has a crack team on the case. Annie spies the kidnapper's note and hides it when Jesse's back is turned. He picks up on their mood and asks if they've been contacted. They swear they haven't been. Jesse leaves. Annie wonders if the kidnapper will really give Emma back.
Ryan and Annie get to the seedy motel room – and find Aidan inside! Aidan says he tapped their phone and they tell him they don't need his help. Aidan insists on sticking around and shows them a computer that the kidnapper must have left behind. They boot up the computer and a video of Emma comes on the screen. The kidnapper places the words 'Ten Million Dollars' across Emma's face!
Vigil With Kendall.
In the penthouse, Ryan reads the letter, “Don’t go to the police or your child will die.” Annie screams and cries. Ryan wants to go to the police. Annie thinks this is a test and she worries that if the police are called Emma will be killed. Ryan argues that the police should be called. She begs him not to. Annie suggests that Aidan could help them. Ryan says that Aidan won’t. Annie accuses Ryan of letting Greenlee get in the way of saving their daughter. Aidan arrives. Annie brings him up to speed on the disappearance. Aidan thinks the room might be bugged, so they all step out into the hall. Ryan says they don’t need Aidan’s help. Ryan and Aidan both try to convince Annie that the police are the way to go. Aidan suggests they stop fighting and focus on trying to find Emma. Aidan says he will meet Jesse and keep everything under the radar. Ryan tells him to do it.
Annie and Ryan arrive at the hospital and run into Greenlee. Greenlee is compassionate about the disappearance of Emma, but Annie is cold and uninterested in her feelings. Ryan leaves and Greenlee apologizes to Annie. Annie is angry that Greenlee stole her husband and left Emma without a father.
In the stairwell, Ryan gets a phone call. The voice says, "I told you, no police." Just then Jesse arrives. Ryan asks Jesse if he has heard anything. Jesse says most of the time in these situations, the parents are contacted first. Ryan lies and says they haven’t been contacted. Jesse asks Ryan to let him know when that happens.
Babe Dies!
David opens the door to Babe’s room to see J.R. holding her crying and saying goodbye. J.R. says, “She’s dead." David cries, “No!" and uses CPR to try to revive her. He’s in anguish. He talks to Babe and says she was the reason he came back. Krystal and Tad walk in. Krystal holds Babe and cries for her daughter. David leaves. Babe is ready to go to the morgue; Krystal and J.R. say their last goodbyes. J.R. says he loves her and always will. He kisses her tenderly. Krystal goes through a few items of Babe’s while J.R. watches. Krystal cries into Babe’s blouse. Tad enters and comforts her. J.R. pulls their wedding rings out of his pocket. Tad embraces J.R. as well as he cries for Babe. As they leave the Chapel, Ryan sees David and grabs him by the throat knocking him to the ground. He is sure that David has Emma. Joe interrupts to say this isn't the time. Babe just died. David says he arrived too late and that J.R. killed her. He walks away.
David Returns!
Ryan swears to Annie that they'll find Emma and then starts digging again. He tells Colby and Petey to work from another angle and then tries to get Annie to take a break. She won't rest, though. Annie brings up their last trip to the beach as they dig; Ryan says Emma will be okay. Petey tries to keep Colby calm but when Colby's back is turned, someone smashes him over the head with a rock! Colby screams and runs around to Ryan and Annie; they follow her to Petey.
