At the Chandler mansion, Annie takes a family photo from a frame and replaces it with a picture of Emma alone. Ryan brings Emma in. He apologizes for barging in on a party day; she says it is no big deal. She tells him not to be so nice to her when he says she looks great. Emma changes and asks if Ryan will stay. Annie gives her permission.
The party gets underway. Tad questions Jake about his new relationship with Amanda. Jake calls her a kid; Tad says Amanda has been through a lot. Amanda, meanwhile, fawns over Babe's ring. Babe says it is her old one and asks if it’s a bad sign. JR spots Zach; he asks what JR is up to but JR won't say. Ryan walks in with Emma and sees Kendall. She is short with him and returns to Zach. "All that meddling and the world is still turning," she says smartly. Frankie arrives with Randi. Carmen opens the door for them and Randi tells Frankie that Carmen was her foster sister. Angie arrives and takes Frankie aside. Tad sees her arrive alone and comments on it to Krystal. They stop talking when Angie walks over and wishes them luck. When Angie walks away, Tad decides he has to do something. Jake sees Frankie and asks why he didn't say anything about going back to war but Frankie doesn't want to talk about it. Jake spots Amanda, who tells Petey where Colby just ran off to, and asks if he should be jealous. Kendall sees Annie come in and gets antsy. Annie watches Ryan play with Emma, who leads him off to see her new doll. Randi takes Carmen aside and tells her that Frankie is in love with her. Carmen thinks this is great but sees how nervous Randi is - and asks if she is a virgin!
Ryan takes Emma upstairs to find her doll. Instead of the doll, though, Ryan finds Annie's gun!
A Storm Is Brewing!
Ryan pulls away from Greenlee and apologizes. He blames his lapse on too much to drink. Greenlee hurries away; Ryan watches her go. He catches up to her at the door and emotionally tells her there is a void in his life without her. She tries to stop him but Ryan can't. "I am in love with you," he confesses and stops her when she tries to leave. Ryan says he has tried to stop but he always comes back to loving her. She smacks him and tells him to stop! She says she can't take this from him and she won't love him again. "I. Love. Aidan," she says and tells him to find comfort somewhere else and with someone else. Ryan turns to go; she follows him but he leaves. Kendall arrives. She asks why Greenlee is talking to Zach about Kendall's happiness. Greenlee tells her to stop pushing Ryan toward her because she doesn't want to deal with Ryan's unhappiness. "I'm married, do you get that?" Greenlee asks and says if Kendall were also happily married, she would be with Zach right now! Kendall turns on her, saying if Greenlee were really happy she would be with Aidan. Greenlee doesn't take the bait. She tells Kendall to stop pushing Ryan toward her because she wants to be with Aidan. Kendall asks why she is denying that she loves Ryan. Greens says she knows what she wants - Aidan! "You're putting Ryan's marriage ahead of your own!" Greenlee exclaims and tells Kendall to stop pushing or their friendship will end. Kendall storms off.
Ryan arrives at the penthouse and falls asleep on the couch. Kendall walks in and settles Spike next to him. She gets them a blanket.
Kendall Can't Help Herself!
Ryan arrives at the Chandler mansion to see how Annie is doing. Emma sees him and asks about the tree. He says the tree is fine and will be growing - just like Emma - for a long time. Annie sends her upstairs. Ryan tries to talk to her but Annie turns him away.
Ryan goes to Zach's office. He tells Zach about the tree planting but is still very torn up about his loss. Zach leaves for home and suggests that Ryan stop by to see Spike soon. Ryan continues looking at the files. Kendall arrives and asks about Zach. Ryan says he went home and tells Kendall to go home, too, but she won't. She insists that Ryan talk to her about his feelings. He tells her to stop but she keeps pushing, telling him to find someone he can talk to even if he can't talk to her. Ryan tells her to stop pushing him toward Greenlee but Kendall says Greens is the only person who can help him now. Ryan gets quiet. Kendall realizes she may have gone too far and leaves.
Ryan is having a drink at ConFusion when Greenlee walks by and sits down with him. He asks if she agrees with Kendall about them being soul mates. He turns to go but then turns back and says he doesn't know what to do any longer because of the miscarriage and how that is affecting Emma and Annie. She takes his hand; he caresses her hands and bows his head. "I don't know what to do," Ryan says.
Kendall Knows!
Ryan arrives at the hospital as Annie is being released. Babe and JR are there, supporting her. They walk out for a moment and Ryan asks what he can do; Annie says there is nothing. He keeps pressing her, wanting to do something; Annie sadly says she'll be fine. Babe and JR return to take Annie back to the mansion. Ryan watches them go.
Ryan goes to work. Zach is waiting and gives him some paperwork but Ryan can't concentrate on anything except Annie. He finally tells Zach that he needs to find a way to say goodbye to the baby and that he wants Annie to do it with him. Zach asks why he is still at work.
