Greenlee asks Ryan about his feelings. He says he loved her but he is trying to get back on track with Annie. Greens asks if she can help; he says rehiring Annie has already been a help. Greenlee promises to keep an eye on Annie. Ryan leaves as Randi returns. She asks about Greenlee's real feelings about the new fragrance; she says it is great! Fletcher arrives and watches from another room. Randi asks if she is serious and Greenlee says Kendall's anger came from the secrecy and not from the idea itself. She leaves and Randi closes up the shop. She hears a noise in the outer office and looks around but can't find anyone.
Ryan arrives home to find Annie packing up a few things and unpacking others to get ready for her new job. Ryan takes the picture of Emma and places it on a side table. Annie realizes something is up and Ryan says they need to talk. He says things are okay and then Richie appears and chastises Annie about the lug wrench. She begins having cramps.
Ryan takes Annie to the hospital. Joe checks her out and says the baby is fine for now but she should take bed rest, just to be on the safe side because the cramps could lead to miscarriage. Annie agrees to his plans but says she wants to tell Ryan. Joe agrees to that and Annie goes to Ryan in the waiting room. She doesn't tell him about the bed rest.
Ryan takes Annie home and puts her to bed, swearing to always take care of her and the family. He goes to the garage and is working on his bike when Aidan walks in and slugs him!
Bright Ideas!
Ryan and Annie wake up, in bed. She kisses him. He says he is staying right there. She places his hand on her belly.
Zach finds Ryan at ConFusion and brings up Annie. Ryan isn't sure what to do about his wife. Zach says Ryan has to determine if he can forgive Annie's lies or not. Ryan brings up Kendall's infidelity but Zach says it isn't the same. Ryan tries to think of Annie as a property, saying he could rebuild a bad property; he isn't sure the same holds true for people the way it does for property. Zach says he has to figure out what happens when Annie realizes he loves Greenlee. Ryan isn't sure. Zach brings up Spike and says Ryan can't think Annie is completely normal or he would let her spend time with Spike. Ryan says she is just different. Zach advises him to stop talking to him, Kendall or Greenlee about Annie and start paying attention to her so he can come to a decision on his own!
The Gauntlet Is Thrown!
Annie can't believe that Greenlee and Kendall gave Ryan the letter and says this is just like them. Ryan tells her to leave the other women out of it and tell him what she did. Annie says she thought a baby was the only way to save their marriage because, at the time, he was focused on Kendall and Greens. "I was trying to fix us," she pleads. She says the letter from the doctor seemed like a gift. She brings up Richie and all of the bad things that he did and says he saved her from all of Richie's guilt and bad deeds. She tells him about the hormone shots she took to get pregnant but swears she didn't use sex against him; she swears she loves him as much now as she did in the beginning. Richie appears and dares her to tell Ryan about the murder but Annie can't do it. She asks if he is leaving her. He says he is staying with his family. She promises no more secrets. He hugs her.
Who Loves You More?
Kendall and Greenlee watch as Ryan reads the letter; it's the vasectomy letter! Ryan realizes Annie knew his vasectomy never happened and that she planned the pregnancy from the beginning! They try to comfort him; Ryan pours a stiff drink. They keep talking badly about Annie and her deceit and how much they love him, even though - according to them! - Annie doesn't love him. Ryan asks why they are doing this to him! They tell him they love him and this is his chance to get rid of nutty Annie and get on with his life. He says he won't leave another wife and child and then says what Annie didn't isn't that different from what both Kendall and Greens have done in the past. He asks how they would have coped if either Zach or Aidan had forgotten them completely. They insist there is no comparison but Ryan won't listen. Frustrated, Kendall leaves. Greens sits down with him and says she is just worried. She says she doesn't understand Kendall but he can't ignore what Annie did. He says he'll be happy again someday; she says he shouldn't have to try to be happy. He says she is keeping him from being happy! She is hurt. He says they are all pressuring him too much by asking him how he's feeling and how he's coping. She says he can have everything he wants but Ryan isn't so sure. She begs him to try. Annie arrives soon after Greenlee leaves and immediately starts in on him. Ryan doesn't take her act and shows her the letter!
Spy Games!
Greenlee and Aidan are sharing a workout at the health club when Ryan arrives. Aidan invites Ryan to join them. Kendall walks in and takes Greenlee aside. She shows her the key and says she did a little investigative work and found that there are only a couple of shipping places that have keys like this. Greenlee doesn't want to but Kendall convinces her to help investigate and they leave the club. Aidan and Ryan continue their workout. He questions Aidan about future plans and Aidan says they are concentrating on the moment and he is trying to figure out what he wants to do with his work life. Ryan starts talking about his life, wondering what to do about Annie. He leaves.
Ryan gets out of the shower and finds Kendall and Greenlee at his door, with the letter from Annie's PO Box.
