Angie finds Joe in the offices and tells him her new plan to mix the antidote and blood. Joe isn't sure how it will work but agrees with Angie that it couldn't hurt to try.
Angie continues on down the hall and begins a similar treatment with Frankie. She tells Frankie that he is going to be fine now. Joe comes in and sits with Angie as Frankie begins to come around! Angie hurries down the hall to check on Greenlee but Joe - and Tad - stay with Frankie. Angie returns to Greenlee's room, takes her vitals and makes a few notes on her chart. Everyone is excited at how she fought back. Ryan slips out of the room and Annie follows. She tells Ryan that things are going to be fine and then hugs him.
At the hospital Greenlee begins to code. Kendall and Zach arrive and hurry in with Aidan as Joe and Angie work on Greens. Joe pushes everyone out so Angie has room to work; he tells them that Greenlee had a seizure because the toxins have begun to attack her heart, lungs and kidneys. Joe tells them to get Jack there as soon as possible. Angie turns to leave Greenlee's room when more convulsions start. Aidan, Kendall and Zach rush to her side. Kendall and Zach pull Aidan back so Angie has more room just as Jack arrives. They stabilize Greenlee and Angie leads Jack and the others into the waiting area. She says Greenlee is now comatose and they don't know if she will come out of it. Angie returns to Greenlee's room.
Tad arrives at the hospital and asks Joe how Frankie is. Joe says he is better but they still don't know if Frankie and Greenlee will make it. Tad goes in to see Frankie and tells the kid about Jesse and how much of a fighter he was. Jesse comes around the corner and watches Tad with his son. He disappears around a corner as Angie comes in to see Frankie. She tells Tad how many memories Pine Valley is bringing back and how lonesome she is here without Jesse. Tad says he knows how she feels because he is very lonely without Dixie and Kate. She returns to Greenlee's room. Tad stares at the Hubbard family portrait for a few minutes. Tad turns away from Frankie's bedside and sees Jesse on the other side of the window! Jesse ducks out of the way quickly and Tad runs out of the room.
Annie and Ryan arrive at the hospital and wait for Joe. He finally arrives and they tell him about the memory loss. Ryan takes Joe away from Annie so they can talk privately. He says he thinks he got drunk, brought a strange woman home and that Annie is scamming him! Joe can't believe that Ryan has no memory of Annie and asks them both to come into the office. Joe tells Ryan about the gunshot wound and then says he is, in fact, married to Annie and that they have Emma. Joe sends Ryan in to have a few motor-response tests and then sits down with Annie. He says they will find out what is going on with Ryan's brain. Annie asks to see him but Joe thinks that is a bad idea. He gives in, saying she can go in as long as she remains calm. Before Annie can go in, Ryan comes out and says he saw the papers and he knows he has lost four years of his life! Annie slowly approaches him, saying they will get his memory back. She tries to hug him but Ryan backs away from her.
Joe tells Angie that Greenlee wants the new treatment. Angie goes to Greens' room, where she is talking to Aidan, Zach and Kendall about her options. Greenlee asks what her chances are. "It's a long shot," Angie admits. Greenlee thanks her for being honest and Angie leaves. Greenlee tells the others that she will win. Kendall kisses Greenlee, reminding her that she needs a second in command on the book tour. Kendall and Zach leave. Greens tries to get rid of Aidan, too, but he won't go. Jack arrives with Lily. She is uncomfortable but offers Greenlee a picture of them. Greenlee is touched by the gesture. Kendall and Zach return with Spike; they let Greens hold him for a few minutes and then Joe returns to get Greenlee ready for the injections.
Angie and Joe inject Greenlee with the treatment as Aidan looks on. He watches over Greens intently. The next morning Angie notices something strange on Greenlee's hands and that her lips are turning blue. She orders Aidan out of the room and calls for Joe. "She's not responding, we need a vent," Angie says! Joe pages the other doctors. Aidan calls Kendall and Zach, telling them that they need to get to the hospital as soon as possible. He calls Jack next. Back in the room, Angie and Joe work frantically to open Greenlee's airway.
Julia arrives with the crash cart just as Angie loses Frankie's heartbeat! The orderly tries to wheel Greenlee away but Kendall and Greens won't let him go. Finally they get a heartbeat. The orderly insists that they leave now. Angie orders more meds from Julia and another doctor orders an eco-cardiogram. Angie and the other doctor, Nick, confer and discover that the cardiac arrest may not have been caused by the anti-toxin they've been giving Frankie. He suggests letting Frankie build his strength and try another dose in a few days. Julia brings Angie some new research and asks what caused Frankie's reaction. Angie admits she doesn't know and continues on to talk with Joe and the lab techs. Julia follows. Angie tells them about the latest cardiac event and Joe asks the others to leave so he can speak privately with Angie. Joe tells her again that she needs to recuse herself from Frankie's case; Angie refuses. "Oh, God, I almost killed him," she cries. Joe hugs Angie, reminding her that she saved her son's life during the arrest. Joe invites the others back in and Angie goes over Frankie's latest stats - his kidneys and liver are beginning to shut down and his blood counts are off, too. Julia asks why Greenlee and Frankie are reacting differently but Angie doesn't know.
Aidan is freaking out in Greenlee's hospital room when Zach walks in. He and Zach find Greenlee and Kendall on the way to Greens' test; they tell the guys about Frankie's cardiac arrest. Greenlee believes it is the treatment that Joe, Angie and the CDC researchers have developed and is very scared that the same thing will happen to her. Aidan offers to take her to the test. Kendall stays with Zach, telling him about Greenlee's fears. Kendall and Zach return to Greenlee's room as she is returned from the test. Kendall tries to talk books with Greens to distract her; she tells Kendall to get to work on the book so the edits are ready on time. Zach agrees to stay with Greens and Kendall leaves. Greenlee begins to cry. Zach hugs her and lets her sob. She asks Zach to tell her the truth about her condition and Frankie's. Zach tells her to ask the doctors herself. Dr. Nick comes in and asks Zach to leave. He checks Greenlee's lungs and heart, asking how she is. Greenlee admits to being tired and having a sore throat from the tubes; she asks him what is going on with Frankie. Nick says her condition isn't the same as Frankie's, so she may not react the way he has. A nurse delivers new blood-work. Nick goes to find Angie. Greens is sleeping when Nick and Angie return. Greenlee's kidneys are decreasing their function and her enzymes are abnormal. Nick suggests surgery but Angie says she is too weak to survive it. Nick says they have to risk it because Greenlee is deteriorating faster than Frankie is! As they talk Jack and Aidan listen in. Angie takes them down the hall and sends Nick to check on Frankie. She tells Jack and Aidan that Greenlee's organs are shutting down. "The toxin has mutated," Angie explains and says they have developed a new treatment that may or may not have caused Frankie's heart attack. Angie is paged back to the lab. Jack and Aidan watch Greenlee through the window. Julia comes in, telling them that Greenlee is resting. She opens her eyes and smiles at Jack; Julia tells him to go see his daughter. Aidan gives Jack and Greenlee some time alone. Jack tries to hold back his tears but can't. "Montgomery's don't give up easily, so don't you," Jack says as Greenlee goes to sleep.
Angie and Joe are trying to figure out the dangers of injecting Greenlee with the same anti-toxin they gave Frankie. Angie says she thinks they'll both die without the injection; Joe tells her to go with her gut. She and Joe talk to Aidan and Jack, telling them they have adjusted the treatment but they still aren't sure how Greens will react. Angie says she will die if they don't do something now. Zach listens to them. "When I tell you this is her only chance, I mean it," Angie says. Jack and Aidan go to tell Greenlee about the treatment. She doesn't like her choices any better than the men do. Greens asks them to get Zach! Jack and Aidan let Zach in; Aidan is a little annoyed, not because of Greenlee's request but because he can't help her. Jack calls Lily to check in and then sits with Aidan to wait. Kendall returns.
