Down the hall, Joe greets Angie and welcomes her back to the hospital. He also mentions Frankie joining the internship program, surprising Angie. She continues on and runs into Frankie. She tells him not to take the internship! Frankie says it is a good way for him to investigate Jesse's death. Angie begs Frankie to reconsider and to make her happy, he says he won't take the internship. He returns to the library, where Colby is still hanging around. She asks if she can help with whatever is bothering him and Frankie sarcastically says the daughter of Adam Chandler doesn't understand problems. He walks off. Colby calls him a jerk. Frankie is in the park making a call. He doesn't notice that someone is watching him and taking pictures from behind a tree.
Meanwhile Ryan is waiting for Joe in the hospital office and looking through a book on brain injuries. Joe arrives and tells Ryan that he just needs to give his mind time to recover; Ryan says he doesn't have any time. "I need to remember now before I destroy my entire life," he exclaims. Joe says there is no drug or surgery that can help because the memory loss is psychosomatic. He tells Joe that he can't handle being 2004-Ryan and asks Joe to have him committed! Joe refuses. Ryan brings up electric shock but Joe refuses that kind of treatment, too. He tells Ryan to talk to a therapist but Ryan says that isn't enough. Joe says having no memory is horrible but points out that Ryan can move on without his memory to live a full life. He leaves for the ER.
Tad drops by the hospital to see Joe. He asks a few veiled questions about the transfer of Jesse's body to the morgue but Joe doesn't remember anything from back them. Joe is distracted by a few phone calls and Tad leaves. Joe tells his caller about Angie's work on Frankie's case and then gives the caller Angie's contact information at the New York hospital. He hangs up. The caller notes the information in a file with old pictures of Jesse!
Meanwhile Aidan is helping Greenlee pack up her hospital room so she can return home. She wants to focus on her career and have adventures with Aidan and have her old friends back. She is very worried and Aidan tries to reassure her by asking what she wants first. She says she just wants to be happy and giving and a better woman than she has been in the past. "You already are," Aidan says! He advises her to grab what she wants and never let go; Greens says she is ready to go. They finish packing and Greenlee tells Aidan she wants one more thing: him! He says she already has him and kisses her tenderly. Joe comes in to officially dismiss Greens. She refuses the wheelchair and walks out; Aidan follows.
Angie is paged back to the hospital. She is very nervous until Joe assures her that he only needs some paperwork. She says she is going to Jesse's grave so she can move on. Joe follows her to a private room, hoping she'll stay on at PVH. She won't agree to it; Joe suggests she discuss things with Jesse at the cemetery before deciding.
Tad arrives at the hospital and asks Joe if he can see Frankie. Joe says Frankie is resting and that Angie has left the hospital for a bit. He says Angie is considering the hospital's offer but he doesn't know if she'll accept. Joe is called away to take care of Angie. He says she is hypoglycemic and needs to take better care of herself. Angie, still shell-shocked, tells Joe that she saw Jesse at the cemetery. Joe doesn't believe her.
At the hospital, Angie notices the date: February 8 - Jesse's birthday! She flashes back to their last moments together. Joe brings her back to the present. He asks Angie if she'll come back to the hospital full-time; Angie says she can't. She goes to see Frankie, who asks about Jesse. They talk about Jesse's birthday and a few celebrations they had before he died. Frankie tells her about his vision. Angie says she wishes she could see him again, too. Frankie asks her to take him for a walk and she agrees.
Angie returns to the main desk to fill out some forms and papers. Joe tells her to go home. She can't face an empty hotel room on Jesse's birthday. Joe suggests that she go to the cemetery to visit Jesse! She looks at the locket. Julia approaches and says Frankie is doing well. Angie decides to go to the cemetery.
Annie drops a few things from her purse at the hospital. Richie has just gotten copies of his medical records and offers to help; Annie tells him to get away from her. Joe walks up with information on doctors who specialize in memory loss. He leaves. Richie asks Annie what is going on and she tells him. Rather than joking, Richie tells Annie how sorry he is. She doesn't believe him. Richie says he is leaving for Mexico for a new drug that could work for him. Annie wishes they could be a real family with real feelings and no secrets. She knows that can't happen and leaves. Richie goes back over his medical file. As he is leaving, a nurse catches him and asks him to talk to Joe before he leaves. He stops by and learns that Joe has found a donor for Richie - from Pine Valley!
In the hallway, Kendall and Zach approach Ryan and Annie. Ryan is surprised that Annie told Zach about the amnesia and tells them that it is kind of surreal that life has moved on without him. Kendall brings up Greenlee and tells Ryan about her romance with Aidan. Then he brings up Zach and is a little bit heartbroken with Kendall hugs her husband and tells Ryan just how happy she is. Ryan is quiet for a moment, then apologizes to Annie for being unable to remember her. "But when I look at Kendall all I see is the woman that I love," he says! Ryan says he is sorry that he can't seem to move on but he doesn't know what to do to change things. The group disperses and Joe stops by. He tells Ryan and Annie that the tests haven't determined why Ryan has amnesia and they also didn't determine how long the amnesia will last. The news upsets Ryan. Joe leaves. Annie stays with Ryan, saying she'll do whatever it takes to help him regain his memory. Ryan hesitates. He asks what her last name is and she says Lavery. Ryan asks for time alone and Annie agrees to back off just a little bit, surprising Ryan. She hugs him and says, "I am your wife and I'll be there when you come home." Ryan walks away.
