Angie and Jesse return home and Jesse realizes the door is unlocked. He cautiously opens it. "Surprise!" yells Tad, Krystal, Colby, Frankie, Stuart and Joe. Tad explains that this is a welcome back party. Jesse and Angie are stunned. Colby asks Frankie how he is doing but it is obvious from the look on his face that having his dad back means everything to him. Dre arrives and Colby introduces the guys. Then, Robert stops in! Frankie tells Tad he invited him. Tad still doesn't trust him. Rob makes a beeline for Jesse and asks what his plans are. Jesse doesn't have any. Robert says he has been contacted by Hollywood about bringing the Papel investigation to the big screen; Jesse isn't interested. He asks about Robert's plans and he says he just wants to relax. Across the room, Krystal asks Frankie how he is getting along with Colby. Frankie says he misjudged her. Joe tells the group several stories about Jesse and then welcomes him home again. Stuart proposes a toast, too. He brings up Cindy and how Angie helped her. He wishes them the best for their second chance. Frankie is next. He talks about dreaming of seeing Jesse on a beach and how Dream Jesse gave him advice. He says he wants to be the same kind of dad someday and then asks Jesse to come with him to the beach. Colby leads Frankie outside as Tad makes his speech. She tells him goodbye and then plants a hot kiss on him. Before he can react, Colby walks away. Back inside, Krystal realizes that they are partying without Jesse and Angie. The party breaks up.
At the hospital, Babe and JR are stunned when Richie keeps threatening JR. Joe insists it is only the fever and takes them to get gowned up. Babe decides to play Florence Nightingale and bring Richie some soup so JR returns to see him alone. Richie is still woozy. JR says they all - Richie, Babe and him - need to work together or they'll never survive. He brings up Richie's threat and then asks what would happen if anyone found out Richie stole his bone marrow. Richie pretends not to care and eventually goes back to sleep. When he wakes, JR grabs a pillow and says, "You better start explaining, Richie!" Richie calls JR's bluff and JR angrily tells him to tell the truth.
In the hall, Joe assures Babe that Richie has an infection and a cold but that he should recover. She is relieved and thanks Joe. He asks about Tad, commenting that Tad has been unavailable lately. Not wanting to worry him, Babe says he is just busy with cases. Joe says he spoke with Jamie and Jake and they are doing well. Babe walks in to Richie's room as JR is holding the pillow over Richie's face. JR says he was just plumping Richie's pillows. Babe delivers Richie's soup, kisses his forehead and leads JR out of the room. JR looks back as Richie makes a gun with his fingers and pretends to shoot JR! Richie flashes back to the bone marrow transplant and swears that the next time JR won't survive.
In Richie's nightmare, JR says, "You owe me your sad, miserable life!" JR watches Richie intently, which unnerves him. He says JR will never be his conscience. JR begins talking about the marrow transplant, how Richie hit Zach and then locked him and Greenlee in the bomb shelter. Julia hurries inside as Richie's monitors begin beeping. Joe is right behind her. Richie is running a high fever; Joe wonders if he is rejecting the bone marrow transplant. The nightmare continues as Babe walks into his dream - and kisses JR passionately! JR says he has the girl now and Babe says she is tired of being played for a fool. Richie says he really can change but Babe doesn't listen. She walks out and JR says he should just die.
Babe arrives at Richie's hospital room. Joe says Richie may be rejecting the bone marrow. Richie wakes and begs her not to give up on him. He notices JR and threatens to kill him! Joe says it is just the fever talking but JR is still worried. Joe says they need to leave Richie to rest.
At the hospital Angie and Joe are talking about research possibilities surrounding Richie. Joe likes the idea. He is distracted and Angie asks what is wrong; he tells her about Robert. Joe is afraid that Rob may want to hurt Tad for some reason. A little later Angie and Julia go to see Richie. Angie tells him that he is doing well and should be ready to leave soon. She says she would like to use his case for research. Richie is just happy to hear he'll be out of the hospital soon.
Joe updates JR on his status as Adam walks in. Joe believes two suspicious punctures on JR's hips are the cause of a bacteria infection and says he wasn't drinking. Adam reminds JR of the time he broke his arm and says he loves him. As they talk, Adam brings up Babe but JR refuses to talk about his ex. Adam tries to focus on the kidnapping but JR doesn't want Adam's help. A nurse announces the end of visiting hours. JR turns away from Adam and he leaves. Adam returns to the Chandler manse to find Krystal - and Jenny - have moved in!
JR runs into Colby outside the Martin home. He is woozy and incoherent and then falls over! Colby wants to get JR inside or to the hospital but he insists he is fine. They talk for a while on the porch and Colby asks about his drinking. JR says he hasn't had any alcohol in months but because of his physical state Colby doesn't believe him completely. Colby feels his head and realizes he has a fever; she grabs his arm and takes him to the hospital. At the hospital, Julia checks on JR and says he needs to see Joe. Colby makes JR promise to stay until Joe arrives and then leaves. Joe walks in and begins to check him over. JR tells Joe about how Babe found him but swears he wasn't drinking. Joe doesn't believe him at first but then wonders if JR is telling the truth. He leaves for a second.
At the hospital, Angie congratulates Frankie on his new physician position. Frankie says not to give him any special treatment and then asks about Jesse. Angie will only tell him that Jesse and Tad are working together on the case. Julia walks up and shows them the newspaper - with Remy's picture and a story about Jesse! Frankie remembers Remy as a nice guy. He and Angie talk about the past and he asks again if he can help Jesse. "I was a soldier. I can handle myself," he says. Angie says no. They argue. Finally Frankie appears to give in. When Angie leaves to check on her patients, Colby comes over to talk to him. She chatters on about her hospital volunteer work and then offers to help him; Frankie blows her off. "Since when did I become invisible?" she asks when Frankie walks off. Frankie returns as Colby is refusing to take a "COW" to the third floor. When she hangs up the phone Frankie explains that a COW is a computer-on-wheels. Colby feels stupid. She tries to break the ice with him again by mentioning Liza but Frankie remains very reserved and kind of unfriendly. He finally tells her that he just wants to work, not make friends and walks off. Joe runs into Frankie a few minutes later and tells him about a new intern/volunteer program. He matches Frankie with Colby!
At the hospital, Joe is meeting with Frankie, who has just been re-accepted into the internship program at PVH! Joe tells Frankie how proud he is, grabs the application and then leaves. Frankie runs into Colby, who recognizes him from the stories in the newspaper. They chat for a bit and then officially introduce themselves.
