Tad tries to console Angie and tells her that the hang up was probably just a prank and that there is no need to be worried about Jesse. She isn’t convinced and says that Jesse also suggested that the calls were pranks. She tells Tad it happens too often for it to be just someone playing games. She wonders if maybe Jesse is lying to protect her. She panics and worries that someone might be pulling strings from behind bars. Tad suggests that would be hard to do and that she shouldn’t worry so much. Angie takes a deep breath and thanks Tad for calming her down. She then asks him for some advice on how to keep driving her family away and how to keep from losing Jesse again. Tad defends Jesse and says that he just has a lot on his mind. Tad is shocked when Angie informs him that Jesse had a nervous breakdown and that they almost lost him for good. Just then Jesse arrives back at the table. When Angie asks him where he was, he smiles and says, “I can’t tell you.” Jesse is shocked when Angie says that she thinks Randi may be the one who convinced Frankie to stay. When Angie tells him about the hang up call, Jesse stresses to her again that it was probably just a prank or something. He then said that he needs her to stay away from his phone.
This is the Way it has to be!
Tad is happy to see his brother sitting at the bar, drinking a beer and relaxing a bit. When Jake confirms that he hasn’t purchased an airline ticket to leave town yet, Tad asks what her name is. Jake tries to play it off but ends up admitting that, yes, there is a woman. Tad begs for details, but Jake keeps it very vague. He tells Tad that she is easy to talk to and very spontaneous. Tad is shocked to hear that his brother has taken dating advise from their father and is sewing his wild oats. Jake tells Tad when he asks, that this is not the army girl. He is surprised that Tad even knows about the army girl. Jake tries to convince Tad that he hardly knows Taylor, but Tad tells him that Jesse made it seem like he knew her very well. Jake tells Tad that the woman is Amanda and is ticked when Tad suggests that she may be a little young for him. Tad makes things right by suggesting that they go on a double date sometime soon. Jesse walks in and Jake takes the opportunity to get up and leave. Tad wonders where Jesse’s date is and he says that she must still be at the hospital.
Jesse talks to Tad about Frankie’s tour of duty. He wonders how he can ask his people to put their life on the line everyday, but not his son. Jesse notices someone across the bar and heads over after them. He comes back and tells Tad that he has to go to the station to take care of a call that just came in. He tells Tad that Angie will be there soon and they can have a drink together. Angie arrives shortly after and talks to Tad about Frankie’s deployment. Her cell phone rings but the person calling hangs up on her. Angie complains that the hang ups are happening at home and on her cell. She is upset that this keeps happening and tells Tad that she is starting to think that someone may be after her husband!
Annie Puts Her Plans In Motion!
Tad and Krystal go to the therapist's office to talk about Jenny. Tad insists that Kathy is just acting out like a normal 6-year-old but Krystal is certain that there is more going on with the little girl. Tad worries that because he didn't find her faster it led to this. After the meeting, Tad obsesses about Kathy. Krystal reminds him that the therapist said it was nobody's fault and they will be fine. She leads him away.
Bella Is Launched!
Krystal falls from the ladder after Kathy pushes it and nearly falls on Jenny! She tells Tad but he doesn't believe her. He asks Kathy what happened and she swears she didn't do anything so he sides with her. Jake stops by and Krystal asks him to look at Jenny. Jake looks Jenny over and says she is fine. When Tad goes to get cuff links for Jake, Krystal tells him that Kathy needs professional help. She tells him about Kathy's acting out. Tad overhears and angrily says Kathy just needs love. Jake doesn't want to be in the middle of their fight so he leaves. Tad tells Krystal that she has to back off and stop accusing Kathy of bad things. He insists that Kathy feels threatened because of the losses in her life. Krystal begs him to get a grief counselor for Kathy but Tad won't listen. "It has gone too far!" Krystal says, frustrated. Jenny cries so Tad comforts her. Tad begs Krystal to give Kathy the benefit of the doubt. Krystal tells him that Kathy isn't the same can-do-no-wrong-girl that Dixie was! She apologizes for that crack. Tad admits that maybe they do need help.
Annie and Adam Join Forces!
Krystal and Kathy are working on a project at the house when Tad walks in and plays along with them. Angie arrives and distracts Krystal with her family problems while Tad and Kathy play with the dollhouse. Kathy says she lost the mommy doll when Tad asks where it is. Angie and Krystal return downstairs. Angie tells her how strange Jesse has been about the past. She wonders if she should push him to tell her and decides if she doesn't know there will always be space in their relationship. Krystal advises her to give Jesse time. They make lunch but Kathy hates the way Krystal cut her favorite sandwich and storms off. Angie leaves a few minutes later; Tad walks her out. On the porch, Angie tells Tad that Kathy will come around. She leaves and Tad finds the mommy doll in the bushes with its head cut off! Back inside, Krystal hangs a drop cloth to begin painting. Kathy sees her and pushes the ladder!
The Gauntlet Is Thrown!
Aidan and Tad are enjoying greasy pizza while Krystal admonishes them about it. Aidan says Greenlee is busy with a new, non-work project, which worries Tad. Upstairs, Kathy has a dream that Krystal is trying to poison Tad with an apple. She watches as Tad bites the apple and collapses. Kathy tries to save him but can't. She wakes up and runs downstairs to Tad. Krystal returns and says Tad can have his pizza as long as he eats an apple, too! Krystal starts picking out colors for the room; Kathy agrees with every choice and when her back is turned she steals the apple meant for Tad. Aidan leaves and Krystal offers to take Kathy upstairs to bed. Kathy whispers that she'll save Tad and goes with Krystal. Krystal returns to Tad, believing she is making progress with Kathy. Upstairs, Kathy gets rid of the apple.
Get Outta Town!
Greenlee calls Aidan at BJ's and says she has a surprise for him when he gets home. Tad overhears and says he is whipped! Over a drink, Tad tells Aidan about the downside of marriage. Aidan would rather focus on the good parts so Tad tells him there will be days when he can talk to Greenlee without saying a word.
Petey Saves the Day!
JR, Babe and little Adam walk in as Krystal, Kathy and Tad are still in the middle of their blow out. Kathy repeats that she doesn't want Krystal around. Krystal tries to explain about love and feelings but Kathy won't listen. Tad steps in and goes through all of their family, thinking that will help. He reminds her that she has a lot of family now and she seems to straighten up. Babe leads the kids and Krystal upstairs for a movie. JR turns to Tad and says he may be taking Kathy's feelings too lightly! Babe takes Krystal aside and asks how she is really doing. Krystal is obviously torn up about Kathy. JR, meanwhile, tells Kathy that there are a lot of people she can love and who can love her. He says Krystal is a great mother. "But mom's leave," Kathy says. Krystal rushes to her side and tries to reassure her, saying she won't leave. She hugs Kathy and the little girl apologizes. Babe tells JR he did a great thing for Krystal. Babe and Tad put the kids to bed. When they return, Krystal tells him she loves Kathy. On the stairs, Kathy pulls the head off the mommy doll that Krystal bought!
A Memory, A Near Meltdown and An Award!
At home, Tad and Krystal flirt with making love but since Kathy is due home from camp, they don't do anything. Krystal asks Tad for some bonding time with Kathy and he agrees but when Kathy gets home, she won't have that at all! Tad convinces her that she'll have a good time and leaves anyway. Krystal offers to help Kathy redecorate her dollhouse with the new toys Krystal bought but Kathy won't let her. She daydreams that Tad comes home and creates a new game - one where they kill Krystal! Kathy turns to Krystal and says, "Wanna play a new game?" She tells Krystal that it is a hiding game; Krystal is first to hide. Kathy counts but as soon as Krystal goes outside to hide - she locks her out! Krystal tells her to open the door but Kathy won't. Jenny starts to cry, worrying Krystal even more. She is still banging on the door when Tad returns home. She runs upstairs to Jenny. Tad goes to Kathy and says she was wrong to lock out Krystal - and now she's not getting her gift. "But I want her to go away," Kathy says as Krystal walks in with screaming Jenny.
