Tad urges Dixie not to give up home—Ryan and Annie burst in and tell her that Emma is missing. "They've taken my little girl?" says Dixie.
Annie thinks Dixie has stolen Emma, but she denies it. Tad suggests that there's a plot between Ryan, Annie, Erin and Jonathan to spirit Emma away.
Annie swears she'll never give up Emma to anyone.
Emma wanders out of David's guest room, asking if her mommy is there yet.
My father or my husband?
Tad confronts Annie and Ryan, presenting the DNA test. He knows she's not a match. If she's not Emma's mother, who is? Annie says she can't explain—but that Emma is her daughter.
Ryan tells Tad that medical records are confidential—how did Tad get Annie's? Tad asks Annie to try to understand what Dixie is going through—looking for a child that was taken from her. He's going to help Dixie find the truth—not matter what it takes.
Tad assures Annie that a DNA test will eventually take place, whether or not Annie wants it. And if she's not Emma's biological mother and also didn't adopt the child, she may not have any legal right to Emma. They're going to leave, says Aidan, but they'll be back. Ryan says that until they get some real proof, they'll get no help from him.
DNA doesn't lie:::
Julia show Tad's all of Annie's medical records, and they see that the DNA doesn't match Annie. It's very possible that Emma is his daughter!
Julia points out that it doesn't make sense for Annie to order a second DNA test. After Tad leaves, David comes over, and Julia shows him the test info. He walks away, surprised.
Krystal hugs Tad when he visits her in the hospital to find out if the baby is his. "The baby is Adam's," she tells him. She knows how disappointed he must be.
Adam's at BJ's, buying a snack for Krystal. He sees Sean, grabs and threatens him with legal action if Sean gets anywhere near Colby. Bianca intercedes and tells Adam to back off.
Adam sadly returns to Krystal's room and says he knows this little girl is not his baby. Krystal is speechless for a moment, but is relieved when Adam says that he's talking about Colby. Krystal tells him that he has to deal with the fact that Colby's no angel. He's shocked and has trouble figuring out how to deal with it. Krystal tells him he has to communicate with Colby and not give up until she understands that her father loves her. Krystal says she understands Colby because she was once the same sort of person—and didn't have a father to love her.
Bianca talks to Sean about the source of all the problems he's having, and offers to help. He suggests he go back to France with her, but she says she plans to stay in Pine Valley for a while.
Colby approaches them, and insults Bianca before realizing who she is. Sean asks her what's happening, and tells her about his fight with Adam.
Truth telling
At the hospital, David taunts Tad with news of Krystal's pregnancy. Their conversation turns ugly and old grievances are aired. David insists Joe Martin killed his daughter. Now they have that in common—and he regrets helping Tad find Kate.
Tad sees them, they talk briefly, and then he asks Julia for help in searching the DNA database and comparing his markers to Emma's. As far as she can see, it's a match. Of course, that's based on the genetic material tested being genuine.
David sweet talks a nurse and gets possession of Krystal's lab results.
Adam and Krystal see the baby's ultrasound pictures, and Krystal is admitted to the hospital. She tells Adam that she wants to name their baby "Charlotte" after his sister.
When Adam leaves for a brief errand, Tad comes into her room and asks "is the baby mine?"
The truth comes out
Aiden and Di come over to Tad's, and she sees Kate's birth certificate. They ask if she can help them find Annie and what else she knows. Di admits that she never saw Annie pregnant, and that she said Terry was not Emma's father. Tad shows how tortured he is by being unable to find his daughter, and Aiden vows not to give up until they find her.
JR shows up at Tad's, wanting to know what's going on. He's angry, and thinks Tad's assertions about Kate are an attempt to hurt his mother. Jamie comes in, and the truth about the trial is revealed. He's completely surprised, now sorry for the way he acted. He asks if Tad knows the identity of the real killer of Madden. Is it who he thinks it is?
Tad goes over to the hospital to see if David has any more of Emma's DNA material. David says he doesn't—and then spills the beans about Krystal's pregnancy.
Krystal having second thoughts about genetic testing, saying she loves her baby—no matter what. Would Adam? He goes off to talke a walk and think.
Jamie runs into her and is shocked to hear about Kate. Krystal suggests he ask Tad for details.
Adam returns with a stuffed animal and admits he didn't know how to respond to her question. On his walk, he remembers how pure and special Stuart is…and if their child is special, he will love him or her with all his heart.
David comes around, asking snide questions about whether Tad is aware of Krystal's pregnancy. When their obstetrician comes over, they announce their decision not to take the test. He thinks it's a bad idea, since they could identify and treat problems early. She decides to take the tests.
Tad goes over to the hospital to see if David has any more of Emma's DNA material. David says he doesn't—and then spills the beans about Krystal's pregnancy.
Zendall is back!
Ryan assures Tad that he knows Annie and she hasn't fled. Tad has no confidence in that, and says Ryan's now complicit in the loss of his daughter.
Ryan insists Tad has no proof, and Tad is impatient with Ryan's behavior. Jonathan comes in, and offers his assessment. Ryan admits that Annie is hiding something, and that she lied about knowing Madden. He leaves a message on her cell phone, urging her to tell him where she is.
