Opal, Amanda, Tad, and Taylor discuss the baby swap plan. Opal tells them that she has a better one.
Surrender!
Tad and Taylor are in Confusion. Tad says they need to get back to the baby, and Krystal overhears. She asks, "What baby?" Tad struggles to cover up, saying he meant they have to get home to "My Baby," which is his and Taylor's favorite country song. He keeps babbling - even telling jokes - as Krystal narrows her eyes suspiciously.
Still at Confusion, Tad and Taylor are keeping the country music jokes coming as Krystal listens. David walks in and takes in the scene. Tad drags Taylor onto the dance floor where she hisses at him that David walked in. Jake strides in and tells Taylor and Tad that they need to get going. David takes this all in.
Tad, Taylor, and Jake get back to Taylor's where Amanda is waiting. They debate Tad's slip-up at Confusion in front of Krystal. Jake angrily tells Tad that it could have cost them Trevor! Jake and Amanda leave, and Tad kisses Taylor soundly before he too goes home!
Hit Parade of Lies!
As Taylor struggles to discern why the baby is crying, Tad comes into her house and says that's the 'burp me before I explode' face! Tad burps the baby and winds up with a messy shirt. As they work on how to best get the stain out, Amanda comes in. She tells them to go get lunch - she just needs to be with her baby. Suddenly, Amanda's phone rings - it's Jake saying that Hayward bought it. Amanda beams as Jake asks, "You know what this means, right?" She replies, "We're adopting a baby!" Amanda gets off the phone and explains the plan to Taylor and Tad, who muses, "My brother, the boy genius." Taylor suddenly runs out, saying she's going to Confusion. Tad tells Amanda that he has a headache - he can't process this hit parade of lies! He warns Amanda to expect the unexpected - does she know why Taylor ran out just now? She's bonding with the baby! Amanda says Taylor maybe needs something else in her life - a relationship! Amanda grills Tad about 'liking' Taylor. He lists the reasons why it would be awkward for them to get together. Amanda sighs - they both have excuses! Tad demands to know what Taylor said about him. Amanda wants to hear what he likes about Taylor first. He says she's fun, and Amanda admits she saw them kiss. She urges Tad to step up and let himself feel!
Taylor is ordering another iced tea at Confusion when Tad comes in. They joke around a bit, and then Tad says they need to get back to the baby. Krystal, passing by, asks, "What baby?!"
Tad And Taylor Kiss And Agree.
Taylor and Tad share a lovely kiss and smile. She asks him what just happened between them. He asks her to marry him and have his babies. She tells him that’s not funny. He apologizes for upsetting her. She tells him that a relationship between them is not a good idea. He laughs and agrees. He tells her that he’s been in a lot of relationships that weren’t a good idea in the beginning. Amanda arrives and asks to see the baby.
At Taylor’s, the baby starts crying and Amanda takes him for a diaper change. Taylor and Tad are left alone and he says he wants to get kissed again. They kiss passionately. When they stop, she says she’s confused. Tad tells her that they should just live.
Back at home, Tad tiptoes in, but Krystal sees him and says that she knows he didn’t come home last night. He mutters while she asks him where he was. He starts to make up a lie, but then tells her that he’s seeing someone. She is surprised and he asks if she’s angry. She says no but that she’s upset. He admits that he still has feelings for her and thinks she does too. Krystal wonders where the love went. He tells her that things could be different between them. She says she’s happy for him. He smiles and accuses her of wanting to know who it was. Opal walks in and says it’s the, “Army girl.” Krystal says she’s surprised but not sad. Tad says things just happened. Krystal interrupts him, and says she’s happy for him, and hugs him strongly. He calls her name but she runs up the stairs.
Back to Business!
At Taylor's house, Tad presents her with a chocolate bar as congratulations for surviving the night with the baby. They laugh about Amanda being a 'burglar', and Taylor's broken television. There is a knock at the door and Tad goes to hide the baby. Taylor opens the door to Brot, who says they need to talk about the baby! As Taylor looks shocked, Brot tells her that Randi had a miscarriage. Taylor exhales with relief, and says how awful that is. Brot wants her to go with him to help comfort Frankie and Randi. As she struggles to make an excuse, Tad walks out in his bathrobe! Brot quickly leaves! Tad apologizes as Taylor freaks out about Brot's feelings being hurt. Tad apologizes again, and they get into a relationship discussion. Tad goes to get dressed and then Taylor watches as he talks to the baby. She says that she is seeing him in a different light - and kisses him!
