Annie arrives at Kendall and Zach's. Kendall turns on Zach but Annie says this was her idea. Kendall goes on about stability and Annie interrupts, asking if Greenlee is part of Kendall's stability plan. Kendall ignores Annie and tries to influence Zach but Zach says Emma needs her mother. Kendall goes to the kids' room. Annie tells Zach that she feels like someone is watching her but says no one else has seen anything. Kendall returns with Emma. Zach pulls Kendall away so Annie can have space with Emma. She tells Zach that Annie can't be trusted but he says Annie deserves a break. On the sofa, Emma says she wants to go home; Annie says she'll be home soon. Zach takes Emma to bed and promises a bedtime story. Annie turns to Kendall and thanks her for caring for Emma. "Oh, save it, Annie!" Kendall says; she says she did this for Ryan, not Annie! Annie says Kendall is the one who needs help because she can't stop interfering in other people's lives; she says Kendall is using Ryan's problems so she can ignore her own! She leaves. Zach returns and kisses Kendall passionately. He says he only wants to be with her. "But sometimes you're not," she says. Zach says he is always right there with her and kisses her again.
Just Stop!
At home, Zach sees Kendall staring at the phone and assumes that she wants to call Ryan to check in. He calls her on those feelings and she angrily says he should feel the same! Zach says the difference is that he knows Ryan can take care of himself and she doesn't. They argue again. Kendall says all she wants is for him to remember their always, only you promise. He turns to go. She says he has to admit that he is shutting her out just as much as he says she is shutting him out! Zach says he won't be late and leaves. Greenlee arrives a few minutes later and tells Kendall everything is her fault! She says Ryan is in agony and Kendall is still butting in and trying to ruin Greenlee's life in the process! "You push and you manipulate until someone gets hurt. This time it's me!" Greenlee cries. Kendall says none of this is her fault - it's Greenlee's! Annie calls, hears Greenlee and demands that Kendall get rid of her! Kendall tells Annie to get a grip and hangs up. As they are arguing, Emma comes in and says she wants her mom! Greenlee holds the kiddo and tells her about the first time they met and how brave Emma was. Annie watches through the window. Greenlee puts Emma back to bed; Kendall says once the divorce is finalized and Ryan has custody she could be Emma's mom! Greenlee turns to go. Kendall asks if she is going home or to Ryan! Greens walks out.
Ryan arrives at Cambais a few minutes after Zach, who hands him some of Spike's artwork. They go over some figures and Zach orders an audit of several departments. He brings up Annie, wondering what they are supposed to do about her. He compares Annie to Hannah.
Zach returns home and finds Kendall asleep on the sofa. He sits with her and caresses her chin, then kisses her. She wakes and tells him about Greenlee's visit, including the fact that Greens still loves Ryan. Zach goes to check on the boys.
A Dire Prediction!
Zach and Kendall are arguing at Fusion. She tells him she has to go to the police station to support Ryan; Zach says Greenlee is there and Kendall should keep her distance! Then, he says Greenlee is just as bad as Kendall and wonders if Aidan even knows what is going on! Just then, Jesse calls and asks Kendall to come to the station!
At the police station, Adam tells Jesse that he doesn't know where the gun came from! Greenlee gets in Annie's face at the police department but Annie won't listen to her. Greenlee says she has to drop the charges against Ryan because she is just using Emma. She reminds Annie how Ryan stood by her after the miscarriage. Annie asks how things are going with Aidan and asks if he knows how involved Greenlee is in Ryan's life. Jesse returns and takes Annie into another room. She passes Ryan but he won't even talk to her. Greenlee sees him and hugs him. He tells her that Adam recanted his statement and is suggesting that Annie took the gun from his locked safe! Annie wants her child back but Jesse says his hands are tied and Social Services is keeping Emma until the case is closed. Annie begs him not to let them take Emma.
In the outer office, Greenlee tries to buoy Ryan's spirits about Emma. Kendall and Zach arrive and say they are taking Emma - because Annie suggested it! Ryan is shocked. Annie comes out with Emma and hands her over. Emma begs to stay with Annie but she says Emma has to live with Spike for a while. Ryan tells her not to be scared. Emma hugs Annie and then leaves with Kendall and Zach. Annie turns on Greenlee and Ryan and swears they won't take Emma from her!
Kendall and Zach get Emma home; Kendall makes up a room for the sad little girl while Zach sits with her to talk. He promises that she'll be able to go home soon. He asks Emma if it would be okay if Kendall read her bedtime story that night; Emma doesn't say anything so Zach hugs her and tells her not to be afraid. Kendall returns and Emma asks for a bedtime story. Kendall leads her to the bedroom.
Annie's Got A Gun!
JR and Babe come back into the main room as little A starts choking! Annie jumps into action and performs the Heimlich; Kendall screams at Annie to get her hands off of little A. Zach hurries in with Angie just as little A starts breathing again. Frankie checks over little A; Carmen tells Randi she has a good man. Adam returns as the ambulance arrives but JR says it isn't needed because little A is going to be fine. JR thanks everyone for coming and pronounces the kiddo okay. The party resumes. Frankie asks Randi if she is ready to go and then leaves to make a call. Carmen tells Randi to let Frankie sweep her off her feet. Randi is afraid that she can't be the woman Frankie needs. Angie asks Krystal where Tad is; Krystal doesn't know. Petey goes to Colby, who is very upset that she didn't jump into action to save little A. She is worried that she'll freeze again sometime when she is needed. Petey reminds her that she didn't freeze at Jenny's birth. Tad returns to the party, followed by Jesse. Tad asks where he has been and Jesse lies about being at work. Tad questions him and won't let Jesse go into the main room. Jesse sidesteps his questions until Tad accuses him of having an affair! He says he overheard the cell phone conversation. Jesse lies again. Tad says he heard Jesse say, "I love you." He says Jesse has to tell Angie everything - or Tad will! Jesse will only say that he had another life for 20 years but he is committed to Angie. He says things were supposed to be over but the person in his past can't let go. Tad tells him to tell Angie.
Zach and Erica take Kendall into Adam's office and tell her off. Kendall says Annie was just trying to get back into Ryan's good graces. "A little boy was choking and you screamed at the one person who tried to save him!" Erica exclaimed. Zach says this is just another sign that Kendall can't stop herself from wanting Ryan!
