At Wildwind, Julia angrily confronts Ryan about the gun he found. She wants to know who it belonged to and is considering kicking everyone out of the mansion! Ryan asks for a little bit of time before she does anything. They enter the mansion, finding Del and Di there. Ryan gets the gun to show them before he and Julia continue into the parlor. The two run into Jonathan, who swears the gun isn't his. Julia doesn't believe him. Jonathan feels betrayed because of Julia's stance and also because he now realizes why Annie and the children left the mansion the night before. "She's going to look at me like everybody else does?" he asks, upset that no one believes that the gun isn't his. Jonathan tells Julia that he will move out if that will make her feel more comfortable in the mansion. Ryan leaves the room and they overhear Del admit to Di that the gun is his! "You brought a gun into this house," Julia says, confronting Del who apologizes half-heartedly. "There were no bullets, the safety was on, the child lock was on. What's the big deal?" he asks, clearly not understanding that he did anything wrong. Ryan asks Del if he shot at Alexander and he says no. Di suggests that Del get rid of the gun and leaves for work. Del gathers the gun but before he leaves, Julia asks for his key to the mansion! Del and Jonathan both think that his moving out is extreme, but she won't back down. "Julia's house; Julia's rules," he says and leaves to pack his things. Ryan apologizes to Jonathan about how everyone reacted. Jonathan tells him not to worry, that things are fine but he is obviously still upset. Del returns, telling Julia again that he didn't shoot Alexander. Aiden arrives, inspects the gun and assures Julia that it isn't the same caliber of gun that shot Alex!
Di arrives at ConFusion, apologizing to Kendall and Annie for being late. She tells them about the gun and that Julia kicked Dell out because of it. Annie feels bad that she overreacted to Jonathan. Before she can call him, a messenger arrives with a letter for Kendall. Curious, she opens it and tells the girls that they may have a new silent partner! The envelope contains a great ad to launch the new line. "This is exactly what we are looking for," Kendall says She reads the note attached, which mentions the color "green" several times but still can't figure out who sent it.
In the alley behind ConFusion, Del takes aim with the rifle but doesn't shoot. Inside, Hannah drinks alone but watches Di, Annie and Ryan across the room. Del arrives, angry with the others because they are talking and laughing - and Alexander has gotten off! He crosses to the bar with Di hot on his heels. She warns him to calm down and stop acting crazy! Across the bar, Derek sees them and joins the crowd with a warning. "I don't want to see anyone taking matters into their own hands," he warns them. Di assures him that they want Alexander punished - not dead. Jonathan stays quiet, then realizes that Derek is talking mostly to him. "You think I'm going to go after Alexander, don't you?" Jonathan asks. When Derek doesn't answer, Jonathan heads to the bar to order a fresh drink. Ryan follows, angering Jonathan even more. "I'd love to wrap my hands around the old man's throat," he says, but then tells Ryan he isn't that guy any longer! Jonathan returns to the table with Annie. Ryan sits for a while with Hannah at the bar. They talk about revenge with Ryan suggesting just moving on. Hannah, though, doesn't seem ready to just move on. Ryan returns to the table with the others and they begin making wedding plans. Jamie arrives, asking Derek if he has proven that Adam caused the crash. When Derek says no and leaves, Amanda comes over, asking him why he can't just drop the vendetta against Adam! Julia arrives, interrupting them. She is scared for her patients now that the nurses are on strike.
In the courthouse, the police wheel Alexander in as his lawyers prepare for the hearing. The judge asks Alexander if he understands why he is there but all Alexander does is scream and begin talking in rhyme, "Yesterday upon the stair, I met a man who was not there!" he says over and over. The judge doesn't stand for Alexander's outburst, telling him that any more outbursts will land him back in jail. Jackson stands, telling the judge that Alexander is acting! Del lunges toward Alexander, but before he can attack the bailiffs pull him from the courtroom. The judge orders the lawyers into his chambers. Zach leaves to get some air and Babe asks Kendall how she is holding up. She asks Babe to hold her hand for a moment. JR leaves the room but Tad holds Jamie back from following. Ryan sits beside Jonathan, who says the bailiffs wouldn't have been able to stop him like they stopped Del! Outside, Di tries to calm Del. JR approaches to thank Del for his actions! "You spoke for all of us in there," he says, surprising Del. The hearing resumes and Jack begins questioning one of Alexander's psychiatrists. As he talks, Kendall begins to sway, reacting to the stress of the hearing. She leaves for the restroom and Hannah follows. In the hall, Kendall tries to gather herself and Hannah asks how she is. "I can hear him breathing," she says, finally reacting to the torture that Alexander put her through. Hannah tells Kendall that Alexander will never hurt anyone else.
Josh arrives, telling Zach that the drugs are a no-go. Jack calls Alexander to the witness stand as Kendall returns to the courtroom. Alexander ignores Jack even when he tosses a ball at Alexander! Jack reads off the list of men and women that Alexander killed and then points out Babe - the woman he couldn't kill. As Jack talks, those in the courtroom flash back to the various attacks and the aftermath. Still, Alexander doesn't respond to the questioning. The judge orders Jack to release Alexander. He does and calls Zach to the stand. Testifying, Zach tells the courtroom that he isn't Alexander's biological son. His real father was Jenkins! The revelation surprises everyone in the courtroom. "What do you think of that, Alex?" Zach asks, telling him that he gave Cambias Industries to his wife's lover's child. Finally, Alexander reacts by standing up, but he gathers himself before losing his cool and begins repeating the rhyme again! The judge orders a recess; Jonathan approaches Jack, thanking him for what he did in court. Hannah watches Kendall and Zach from the back row. Outside, Annie tells Ryan that justice will be served. Ryan, though, doesn't see how the judge could rule against Alexander's plea.
Court is called back into session. The judge calls Alexander a murderer, telling him that he believes it is all an act. Unfortunately, he has no proof that Alexander is acting and releases him to a psychiatric facility. Everyone reacts badly to the news. As Alexander is wheeled away, Tad sits with his hands clenched together. Aidan joins him, saying a bullet through the head is the right justice for Alexander! Zach and Kendall stand together and watch Alexander until he is gone. Babe asks if Zach is really Jenkins' son and he admits that it was a lie. He leaves Kendall with Babe, Ryan and Annie and leaves the courtroom.
At the courthouse, Jack assures Derek that he will take over the trial reigns and keep Alexander behind bars! Jonathan, Aidan, Dell and Di arrive, incensed that Alexander might get off with an insanity plea. "The judge actually believes this rubbish?" Aidan asks. Jack tells them that Alexander will be sent to a mental institution but that doesn't make anyone feel better. After all, Janet just escaped from a similar institution! Ryan arrives and Jack tries to get him to calm Jonathan. "He has to pay," Jonathan says and storms from the courtroom. Ryan tells Jack that whatever Alexander is paying the judge, he will double. Jack assures him that the judge is an honorable man. In the hall, Zach runs into Tad, telling him that he was wrong for talking Zach out of killing his father in Vegas! Kendall arrives, telling Zach that she is not leaving him to face Alexander alone. Zach gives in and together they head inside. Kendall talks briefly with Hannah, eager to confront Alexander; Hannah warns her to keep her distance. Annie reassures Ryan that she will help keep an eye on Jonathan as Babe arrives asking if the news is true. Meanwhile, Jack tells Zach that he is going to motion for a stay so that they can get their own psychiatrist to examine Alexander. "And if that doesn't work, it's up to you," Jack says, telling Zach that he may have to break his father down! Alexander is wheeled into the room, singing the Red Rock song over and over.
At Wildwind, Di tells Jonathan that Ava needs help, not money to get out of town! Jonathan points out that Ava steals from men and even tried to steal Di's jewelry, but Di isn't interested in looking at Ava's darker points. "She has a right to meet her sister just like I did," Di explains, telling him that Dixie helped her turn her life around. Jonathan comes back with stories of his own family. Aidan comes in, telling them that Ava didn't get on the plane. They have no idea where she has gone! Jack arrives and Aidan and Jonathan fill him in on Ava and her past. Jack is shocked, but wants Aidan's opinion on the girl. "Maybe it would be a good thing. Maybe it would be a disaster," Aidan says about their possibly meeting. He asks Jack what he wants for Lily. Jonathan speaks up, telling Jack to keep Ava away from Lily; Di tells him to let them meet. Jack isn't sure what to do for a while, but after talking over Lily's past he decides that meeting Ava might be exactly what Lily needs! When Di and Jonathan begin fighting, Aidan asks them to give he and Jack a few minutes. Alone, Jack tells Aidan to find Ava, but not introduce her to Lily until he's had the chance to meet with her. Erica arrives, stunning both men with the news that "Lily" has moved into the Valley Inn! Jack thinks Erica is just blowing smoke but when Derek calls, thoughts of Lily and Ava hit the back burner. There is a problem in Alexander's murder case!
At Wildwind, the crowd listens as Lily asks Aidan questions about her look-a-like. Aidan tries to stop her from going into the parlor, but she heads inside. He is relieved to see Ava and Jonathan are nowhere to be seen. Aidan tells Lily that he made a few contacts, but hasn't been able to find Ava. "Don't get your hopes up," he says. Lily already has her hopes up, though, and can't understand why Ava wouldn't want to meet her as much as she wants to meet Ava. Lily begins to catch on that he isn't being completely honest, and wonders if they think Ava doesn't want to meet her because of the autism. Aidan and Di assure her that things will work out. Lily leaves, and Di tries to convince Aidan to allow the girls to meet.
Meanwhile, Jonathan drags Ava onto the terrace, telling her to stay away from Lily! "You know, I'm fun," she says, trying to push Jonathan's buttons by pushing to meet Lily. Jonathan blocks the way into the house, telling her that she should just leave Pine Valley. He offers to drive her anywhere she would like to go and Ava begins talking about becoming a Hollywood celebutante. He calls the airport and books a flight for Ava, who listens in to memorize his credit card number! Jonathan hands her a wad of cash after booking the flight and tells her to just go. Ava reaches out for even more cash, and Jonathan empties his wallet! After she leaves, Jonathan heads back inside, telling them that he sent Ava to Hollywood - one way! "Are you crazy?" Di asks. Jonathan tries to make Di understand that Ava would upset everything about Lily's life, and Aidan agrees. "Yeah, because who cares what Lily wants?" she asks, and storms away from them. "What are you going to tell Lily?" Jonathan wonders, but Aidan doesn't have an answer. As they talk, Ava returns to Wildwind and sneaks around the outside of the estate!
