At Wildwind, Jamie and Julia talk about their relationship. Di interrupts them, asking if they have seen Amanda. After a couple of day of her not being around the mansion or at work, she is worried! They bring in Aidan, who suggests that she just left town to decompress for a while. They aren't so sure and wonder if they should call the cops. Del arrives. He just got a voice mail from Amanda - that she is on vacation in Fiji with a friend! They are all relieved. The group disperses and once again Julia and Jamie are alone to talk. He apologizes for calling the pregnancy test a scare but Julia doesn't want to hear his apologies. She tells him that they are obviously in different places in their lives. He tells her that he does want children - someday! - and tells her that he loves her. "Someday just isn't good enough," she says. Jamie is disappointed when Julia tells him that she isn't willing to wait for someday to come. She talks about Kathy and visiting her family and tells Jamie that she is leaving tomorrow! "I really thought I could make you happy," Jamie says. Emotionally, Julia tells him that he did make her happy. She kisses him and leaves.
Greenlee Backs Down!
Greenlee is the first to arrive at Fusion. She can't forget the nightmare from the night before. Kendall arrives soon after. She shows Greenlee the sonogram and asks why Greens kept it. Before they can hash things out Babe and Di arrive, still giddy over the meeting the day before. Both sense the undercurrents and go to the lounge. As soon as they are alone again, Kendall demands answers. Greenlee tells her that she loves Spike. The two bond a little over their love of the little boy. "It was my love for Ryan that helped bring this baby into the world," she says, explaining that Spike also represents her love for Kendall! But when Greenlee tells Kendall that she is still going to sue for custody, Kendall gets angry. She tells Greenlee about her dream and says things can never get back to normal if Greens keeps pulling these stunts. Greenlee tries to change the subject to work but Kendall is too annoyed. She storms out!
In the lounge Babe and Di compare Kendall and Greenlee's friendship to Babe's friendship with Bianca. They return to the front office and wonder what is wrong with Greenlee. Di returns to the lounge and Babe puts on her counselor hat. She tells Greenlee to back off from Kendall and Ryan. "If you ask real nice you might just get what you want," she says. Greenlee flashes back to her dream. She picks up her bag and leaves. Jamie arrives for a study session but talk quickly turns to their personal lives. Babe asks how things are going with Julia. Jamie doesn't want to talk at first but finally does begin to confide in her. He thinks Julia wants to break up with him because of the way he reacted to the pregnancy test. "Losing Julia will hurt," Jamie says. Babe advises him not to let his relationship get him down.
Can They Get Along?
At Fusion, Ryan and Kendall keep fighting over Greenlee and Spike. Annie is just as stunned as Kendall that Ryan wants Greenlee to be part of their family. As she is about to storm out, Babe and Di stop her and ask her to stay for Fusion! A client has decided to drop the company but he will talk to Greenlee and Kendall and maybe keep them on board. Mr. Westin arrives and tells them they have 10 minutes to change his mind! Kendall tries to change his mind about dropping them, but Westin is immoveable. Babe points out that Greenlee is back and says that will make the difference to their customers. Di agrees and so does Kendall! "We will leave our competitors choking in our dust," she says as Greenlee finally steps in with her new ideas. She orders Babe and Di to get the designs and when that puts Mr. Westin off she backtracks and asks nicely.
In the lounge, Babe and Di begin scrambling to put together the presentation materials. They are hurrying, worried that Kendall and Greenlee will stop playing nicely with one another very quickly. With the materials together, they head back out. Di tells Babe how proud she is that Babe to going for the GED. "It's worth it," Di says and they rejoin the others.
Back in the main office, Kendall and Greenlee begin to bicker. Greenlee blames Kendall for the falling sales numbers while Kendall blames Greenlee for leaving, telling her that she doesn't know their target market any longer! Westin gets annoyed. "Sorry, we can't do business," he says and leaves. Kendall and Greenlee follow, telling him that they don't censor themselves in the office and that makes them a better company. "Families fight, but we still respect one another," Greenlee says. They convince him and he goes back inside. He asks them to show him what is new at Fusion. Babe and Di come in. "This is rough but you can sell it," Babe encourages them as Greenlee steps forward. She takes a green apple and begins the presentation - talking about the new "green" Fusion. "Fusion green enhances and embraces natural beauty," Greenlee says and starts the slide show. Mr. Westin is impressed and agrees to come back to the company - on one condition. That Kendall and Greenlee continue working on the project together! He leaves. Kendall can't believe how well they worked together. Just then Zach and Jack arrive, confused at the apparent turn of events. Greenlee heads out to check on a few things and Jack follows, wondering what is happening now. She tells him she hasn't made a final decision about Spike yet!
Annie returns, excited to learn that Westin is back on board. Ryan asks if Annie can take a few days so they can finally go on their honeymoon - with Emma. Zach suggests they take Spike, too. Kendall objects, but they talk her into it. She, Babe and Di begin cleaning up. Kendall finds Greenlee's purse, with a picture of Spike's sonogram inside. Kendall realizes that Greenlee does want Spike, not just Ryan. Zach hugs her, telling her things will be alright.
No Negotiations!
Smug, Greenlee returns to work. Annie hands her some papers to sign and without looking Greenlee does. Babe lets her know that the music deal is back on the table. Di asks how things went in the other room, but Greenlee doesn't say much. All is quiet for a moment until Greenlee tells them that Ryan is now on her side! The girls can't believe what Greenlee said and tries to make them believe that Kendall is the bad girl in the situation. She reminds Babe and Annie about Kendall's past actions. Greenlee wonders when Kendall changed her tune about Annie; Annie won't play her game, though, and says they became friends simply by working together. Greenlee gets snarky and Annie gets mad, wondering why Greenlee is only now interested in Spike. She advises Greens to get involved with Spike's current life and not make him an accessory to hers if she wants to reunite with Kendall!
Kendall explains that she can deal with one extra mom but not two. Ryan tries to make her understand that Greenlee is the reason that Spike exists in the first place. Kendall can't see that, though, because she is too angry with Greenlee and too much in love with her son. "We owe her," Ryan exclaims, trying to make Kendall understand. Kendall doesn't like what he is saying but she does begin to see his point. Still, she thinks Greenlee's real motivation isn't for Spike it is for Ryan! Kendall and Ryan storm out of the lounge, with Kendall swearing that Greenlee will never be part of their family! The Fusion girls listen as they continue to argue.
Who Kidnapped JR?
In the elevator to Fusion, Annie advises Kendall to play things cool and not let Greenlee know that the custody papers are bothering her. When they arrive, both are quiet and get right to work. When they don't say anything to her, Greens pushes the point and begins badgering them about their feelings. She tells them it is obvious that something is bothering them. Still, neither Kendall nor Annie will talk about Spike or the custody problems. Finally Kendall breaks and explodes in anger at Greenlee's custody suit. She swears that Greenlee won't take her child and that if she doesn't drop the suit it will be the end of everything for Greenlee in Pine Valley! Greenlee is happy to see how badly Kendall is taking the court papers. She tells both women that she has a right to "her child"! Greenlee keeps pestering them, certain that she will win Spike. Annie interrupts Kendall and Greenlee as they fight, but Kendall won't stop. Fed up with Greenlee, Kendall turns from Greenlee and begins going over sales numbers with Annie and Di. The women wonder if their buyers will come back if they can manage to get the music back. Greenlee listens but doesn't help them, especially when they bring up Babe. She tells them they can make a comeback without Babe and without Babe's contacts. When they suggest that Greenlee get Babe to come back she initially freaks out and refuses. Eventually Greenlee agrees to call Babe, who agrees to come over and talk. When she arrives, Greenlee offers her a job with a small raise. Babe demands more. She gets what she wants and all the girls, except Greenlee, are happy to have her back at work!
An angry Ryan arrives later and pulls Kendall and Greenlee away to talk things over.
