Erica and Jeff sit down next to Josh in the courtroom, saying they want to show their support for him. Dr Joe enters at that moment, and sits down in the back of the courtroom.
In the prosecutor's opening remarks, he claims to have ironclad evidence that Zach and Dixie committed murder.
Livia says that while Zach and Dixie had a motive, but didn't commit the murder, the prosecution evidence is circumstantial, and Tad is motivated by revenge and hate.
She cross-examines Derek; hereacts angrily when Livia accuses the police of questionable activities,
Josh has images of Julia attacking and injecting Madden; Di and Del planning to bury him; David digging the grave [but promising to release him if he tells the truth about Kate's whereabouts]; JR helping David; Dixie is observing.
Tad is called to the stand, and admits that the police bugged his house. He admits that Dixie eventually admitted to him that she and Zach were lovers. He says he saw Dixie and Zach in the airport parking lot the night Madden disappeared, and were putting a body in Dixie's car.
Livia asks Tad if it's true that he's there because Chief Frye told him if he didn't testify, he'd go after JR and Jamie for stealing evidence. Tad admits it's true.
He also admits that David helped Dixie get away from him when she was pregnant, and he believed her to be dead. Livia questions his feelings about Dixie not asking for his help in finding their daughter.
The prosecutor asks Tad about his "anger" regarding Dixie's actions, and whether that's affected his testimony. Is it the truth? Tad says it's all the truth—and Jamie and Di burst in, Jamie yelling "Liar! Everything he's said is a lie, and I can prove it."
Josh bares his soul to Babe.
Di and Jamie discuss the upcoming trial. She tells him Dixie's not as bad as he thinks. Julie interrupts—Jamie tells her to butt out since they're over. Jamie says he believes Tad is lying, and will do what he can to exonerate Dixie.
Kendall & Ryan and Josh & Babe declare their love.
At the club, JR is yelling on the phone to the rescuers, and pretty much admits to Jamie that he wants to drink. Jamie says if he does, it will be a good thing if Josh takes Babe away. JR tells Jamie that he doesn't need his or anyone else's advice, and angrily leaves the club. He runs into Josh at the stairs and there's a stare-down—and JR leaves.
Josh and Julia commiserate on loving someone who doesn't love you back.
Di approaches Jamie and insists that Tad is wrong-- Dixie is innocent.
Erin asks Jonathan how he is, and he admits he's only as good as can be expected. He declines her suggestion he take a few days off, and asks her just to be his friend, not his worrying-about-him sister.
Lily comes out of her coma.
At the police station, a shaken Julia tells Ryan he took Zach down "like a wild animal." I felt all of that hate directed at me."
Di thanks her for sharing Ryan; but Julia says that he's not hers to share.
Pennsylvania and New York state prosecutors are gathered in Derek's office, fighting about the logistics of Terry's shooting and who has jurisdiction. Derek demands they prove McDermott was a "perv". Jackson blows up at all of them, and asks for Ryan's trust, saying he needs it to defend Ryan.
Colby Prepares For Her BIG DAY
Di talks with Zach about his and Dixie's position. Del interrupts them and Zach snaps that they're not hiring trying to get him out. Di and Del try to talk with Zach about what Tad thinks he saw. Del replies that he'll do anything to stop Tad from testifying. Zach tells them both to leave because he has enough to do today.
Di returns telling Zach to try and talk Dixie into leaving the country telling him she's willing to risk prison time in order to protect him. She asks him straight out about whether Dixie has a chance with him or is Kendall still in the picture? Zach replies that things are very complicated at the moment with Kendall but he's still in love with his wife. Di persists, telling Zach he has to insist on Dixie leaving the country. Zach tells her that he doesn't have to explain a damn thing to her and Di replies by calling him a jerk. Zach smiles telling her that he already knows that, it's what he does best is being a jerk!
Zach grabs a huge wad of cash, puts it in his suit jacket and heads out of the office.
Tad Discovers Who Put Him in a Coffin!
Tad discovers who is behind putting him in the coffin, looking up he sees Del. Del tells him he's going to make sure he'll never hurt his sister again. Tad slams Del for doing this to him because he was heading out of town so he wouldn't have to testify against Dixie. Del thanks him for being so noble and holds a gun on him. Tad stands up against Del and Di interrupts them. She tells Tad to get his hands behind his back as she grabs some ropes.
Di tells Tad that he won't testify ever. Tad tries to explain to them that he was leaving the country before they pulled off kidnapping him. He promises to walk away from his entire life until Dixie is found not guilty! Del tells Di that keeping Tad is the best way to stop him from testifying. Tad demands that they untie him so he can leave and get on the jet.
Tad, calling JR & Jamie, telling them he's fine asks the boys to meet him at the jet. Di apologizes and tells Tad she appreciates what he's doing for Dixie. Tad walks out, past an angry Del.
JR tells Tad he'll notify the pilot that they're ready to go. Derek interrupts, telling them they won't be headed anywhere. Derek tells Tad that his sons will go to prison if he doesn't testify!
Zach Decides to Stop Tad From Testifying
Dixie finds out that Tad is a witness for the prosecution. Di & Del frantically pack up Dixie's room telling her she has to get out of the country or she'll go to prison. Dixie still cannot believe that Tad would lie to get her, stunned that he hates her that much. Di tells her it doesn't matter any more and she has to run!
She insists she's not going anywhere and she can't do this to Zach. Di and Del tell her she has no choice in the matter, she has to get out now. But Dixie tells them how wonderful and kind a person Zach really is and she won't leave him hanging. Di realizes that Dixie is in love with him.
Zach walks in on them and Di and Del decide to leave telling Dixie if she changes her mind to call them. Zach tells her that running is not the answer and they need to find a way to stop Tad from talking! Dixie asks him how he's going to stop Tad from talking wondering if he's going to hurt him? Dixie tells Zach that Tad doesn't deserve any more suffering and try to understand that she won't hurt Tad again. Dixie continues to beg Zach not to do anything because she's even willing to go to prison not to hurt him any further. He tells her it's not about hurting Tad, it's about protecting them both.
Tad talks with JR telling him that he saw Dixie and Zach loading something very heavy into the trunk of the car. JR tells Tad he'll make sure he doesn't testify. At that moment, in walks Jamie telling him that he's not going to be any easier on Tad.
Tad begs them to listen trying to explain that he's telling the truth. But the guys debate what he thinks he saw and tells Tad he could be wrong. He tells them if he wanted to get even with Dixie, he certainly wouldn't do this. Tad continues that he will refuse to testify but they're going to use his words against him anyway and bugging his apartment was legal.
They ask him why he waited so long and not confront Dixie and Zach when Madden was still alive. JR threatens to make him disappear. Jamie tells JR to calm down on the mafia routine! JR replies that he doesn't mean he'll kill Tad, just bounce him out of the country far from here. Tad tells him he's already planned to leave and knows he cannot be charged as a fugitive if he leaves tonight. Tad tells them that he doesn't want to hurt Dixie any more but if he testifies Dixie will be convicted and he doesn't want her to be away from JR anymore. JR & Jamie ask him if he's certain he can leave his life, his family, everything behind forever? Tad tells them he's willing to make that sacrifice.
JR gets off the phone telling Tad the jet is ready to go. Jamie asks him if he's sure this is what he wants? Krystal interrupts them asking how they could possibly all be in the same room with each other and still be calm?! Tad tells her he's leaving time town for a few days and came by to say goodbye to the boys but Krystal doesn't believe it. JR hands him a bundle of money so he can't be traced through the bank withdrawals. He thanks Tad for doing this for them and for mom, reaching to give him a hug JR tells Tad he loves him.
Talking in the living room Jamie and JR still don't feel relieved by Tad leaving town.
Di runs in the office looking for Tad and asks Aidan where he is? She tells him there's no way Tad is going to testify in court and asks Aidan for help to find out the truth! She tells Aidan that she's been to prison before and she wants to take the blame for Madden's murder but Aidan tells her she's out of her mind. He reluctantly tells her he'll help Di with her plan.
David Goes to Annie About Emma
Annie and Di talk about Emma. She talks about Terry and how dangerous he is. Annie tells her he hasn't given up and wants Emma. Di goes up to see Emma and Annie heads to the door to see who's there. David comes to the door to apologize to Annie about what happened at the park. He tells her he didn't mean to scare her or her little girl. He explains to her what happened with Kate and that Emma looks a lot like her and how devastated
Di walks in asking what's going on? David tells her he's just making amends, hands Annie a teddy bear for Emma and walks out. The phone rings and Annie picks it up to hear Terry once again. He asks if Annie did what he asked, giving Emma his picture and does she miss daddy? Annie stands up to him and tells him that she told Emma the truth about her and stay the hell away. She threatens him to never come around her again because Emma doesn't really even belong to her anyway and hangs up. Di reassures her that she did a great job and asks her what she meant about Terry not being Emma's father?! Di reassures her she won't tell a soul but Annie tells her to do her a favor and forget she ever heard that.
Ryan and Kendall Share a Kiss
Jamie and Aidan join Julia and Di at the bar for a drink when in walks Erin - spotting them all together. Julia and Jamie head out of the bar leaving Aidan and Di alone. Aidan flirts with her and she willingly plays into it. She asks him to go star gazing with her and they walk out. They playfully chase each other around the roof top before Aidan grabs her and plants a hot deep breathless kiss on Di.
Back at Jamie's place, Julia and Jamie play a round of basketball but Jamie's not in the mood. Julia asks him what's wrong and Jamie confides that it's his dad, that Tad has reason to believe that Dixie is guilty. He tells Julia that Tad told him not to dig further into Dixie's life, it was a warning. Julia asks him if he believes Dixie did it but he tells her that many people wanted Madden dead.
