ERIN LAVERY'S HISTORY
Erin Lavery, the youngest of the Lavery children, grew up with an abusive father. She and Jonathan were left behind when Ryan and Braden ran away from home. Ryan lost track of the two as they grew older.
When Jonathan showed up looking for Ryan, he didn't realize that his younger brother had a medical problem. Jonathan tried to kill Ryan's wife Greenlee, and in the end, Ryan had to kill him in a cave where Jonathan held three women hostage. In his demented state, Jonathan had also killed Braden and tried to make it look as though he was the culprit in Greenlee's poisoning. An explosion in the cave kept Ryan from finding his brothers.
Laden with guilt over his brother's death, Ryan faked his death and tracked down Erin. He wanted to see if she suffered from the same demented anger that Jonathan had. Erin turned out to be quite normal, but kept a secret that she was harboring Jonathan, who had escaped the blast.
Jonathan was delusional, and a subsequent medical examination revealed a brain tumor that had affected his behavior. Removal of the tumor changed Jonathan's personality to the point that he appeared almost "simple-minded," but he and Erin followed their big brother back to Pine Valley.
Erin constantly clashed with Aidan Devane, a private investigator who had been hired to follow Jonathan. The two eventually fell in love, and Erin surrendered her virginity to Aidan. Erin went to work at the Miranda center and also for Fusion, and feelings of insecurity and fear of commitment forced her to call a quick halt to their relationship. Aidan was stunned and disbelieving, until he saw Erin kissing one of the bartenders at ConFusion.
Shortly after, Simone Torres was found dead in the office, and Erin was found murdered on the roof of Fusion. Everyone in Pine Valley is mourning her loss.

Monday, December 10 2007: Being Committed...
At Kendall's, Josh arrives as Erica is making demands on a toy company. A delivery man arrives with boxes filled with toys. She tells Josh that she is trying to make certain that things will be perfect for Kendall and Zach; Josh asks what he is doing with her own life. Kendall calls and afterward Josh asks what is really going on with Erica. Instead of talking about her own problems, Erica calls Pam and postpones several episode tapings, telling Pam that she has to be available for anything that Kendall may need. As she dials a few more numbers Josh tells her that he is moving in until Zach returns home. Erica more or less ignores him. Pam calls back and begins going over a few show details with Erica. When Erica finally hangs up the phone Josh cuts right to the chase and brings up Jack but before Erica can say anything Joe Martin interrupts them. Erica sees him and says he is not welcome in her home! Erica sends Josh away (apparently not caring that she is actually in Kendall's home) and tells Joe that he is not welcome anywhere near her or her family because of the way he is trying to break up she and Jack. Joe points out that he isn't the one who was lying to Jack and says in any case he is there to see Kendall, not Erica. Erica tosses him out! Josh returns and tells her he know exactly how she feels! Erica tells him about her plans for Greenlee. Josh tells her that even Kane's can be wrong and says she has to be the first to apologize to Jack. Erica says she can't because she truly believes Greenlee needs psychiatric help. Josh reminds Erica that when he was in a similar place, she gave him exactly the same advice. She still doesn't think she can do it. Kendall arrives home a few minutes later.
Thursday, April 05 2007: Peaceful Pine Valley?!?
Ryan visits the cemetery, stopping at Erin's grave to tell her about Annie. "I wish you could be there when we say our vows," he says emotionally. Slowly he approaches the tombstone to return Erin's comic book. Ryan leaves, telling Erin that she is his hero.
