Krystal and Adam are dressing up as Mrs. Claus and Scrooge to entertain children at the manse. Babe rushes home to alert Krystal about her conversation with Dixie who is about to "blow the tinsel off [Krystal's] tree."
Stuart and JR are sitting in JR's room, and JR shares how angry he is over Babe's "betrayal."
Stuart tells JR that forgiveness is a "choice" and that everything else follows from that. Everyone makes mistakes, says Stuart…that's how we learn to do better.
In the parlor, Adam and Krystal are partying hearty with Krystal's truck stop pals. Adam says "a marriage made in moonshine has become true love", and seems completely happy.
Adam is all smiles as he gives Krystal some of her early gifts, including a silver rattle for "Charlotte Carey Chandler." When Babe comes home from her Christmas shopping, he tells her how "glowing" she looks. Babe tells Krystal that she feels hopeful for the first time in a while. She says that she feels peaceful planning Christmas for her son. Krystal tells her not to put too much stock in the fact that JR hired a bodyguard…but perhaps it's a start. They reminisce about Christmases they shared together in the past.
Krystal expresses how happy she is about baby Charlotte, and Babe agrees that she made the right decision about Tad. They're surprised when Adam brings JR into the parlor to help with decorating the tree. Adam and Krystal beat a swift retreat to leave JR and Babe alone with Little A, who shares his Christmas list. It includes a "baby brother."
"It's going to take a lot more than a little speech" JR tells Babe. He's not sure their marriage can be saved. He urges her to "give up the fairytale." She says she hasn't given up on their marriage, and begs him not to.
Adam walks in and asks JR is Babe is bothering him. If she is, just say the word and he'll get her out of there. JR says that Babe can stay.
Adam tells Krystal that he thinks JR still loves Babe, and how he couldn't bear the thought of Krystal with another man.
Josh frantically calls around town, making sure Bianca, Babe, et al., are safe. He reaches Colby on the phone, who sarcastically says "Babe is dead" and hangs up.
Josh shows up at the Chandler manse, demanding to see Babe and be assured that she's safe. He rushes through the house, and encounters a shocked JR and Babe in JR's sickroom.
The rest of the family rushes in, and Adam threatens to throw Josh out bodily. Josh says that someone is killing the women of Fusion. Adam assures him that no one is going to hurt Babe, and Josh leaves.
Krystal takes a weeping Babe into the parlor, and JR instructs Adam to do whatever is necessary to help Erin.
Julia tells JR that if he doesn't relax and get his blood pressure down, it's back to the hospital. Jamie reminds him that his pain was brought on by his own actions—so shape up and listen to them. "You want to get rid of my pain?" says JR. "Get Babe Carey out of here."
Babe's presence is upping JR's stress level and increasing his pain. Babe wonders if maybe it wouldn't be best of she left. Dixie asks to talk to Babe in private. Julia tells him to relax; the rest is up to him. She also tells him to "shut up and be grateful."
Adam comes in and asks if JR still loves Babe. JR says that love only causes problems. Adam tells him that a woman who loves him as much as Babe does deserves a second chance. An angry JR suggests that Adam has sold his manhood to Krystal. Would Adam forgive Krystal is she slept with another man?
No, admits Adam. Dixie comes in and says it's because JR has her heart—not Adam's. That's why it's possible for him to be so hurt by Babe's actions. JR insists he still wants Babe gone. Adam took him away from her…does he remember that, asks Dixie.
It was a kick in the gut, recalls JR. But Little A will get over Babe if she leaves now, he says. Not so, counters Dixie, and begs him not to break his son's heart. Little A needs his father and his mother. Listen to your mother, says Adam.
Dixie assures JR that she'll be there for him, and JR says he's glad to have her around. Dixie says that if JR has the forgiveness to allow her back in his life, what else is he capable of?
Colby goes to see Babe and tells her that for JR's sake, she willing to bury the hatchet.
Babe says if she leaves now, JR might never trust anyone else again. Dixie insists that the only reason she should stay is for love.
Krystal is able to convince Colby to tone down the sarcasm for the good of her family.
Krystal tells Dixie she told Adam "the truth" about the baby. At first Dixie is happy, until Krystal informs her that she told Adam he is definitely Charlotte's father. "everyone makes mistakes, Dixie," she says—"everyone. You have to look at the bigger picture and the greater good."
JR and Adam arrive home to a happy reunion—until Babe appears. If looks could kill, she'd be dead from the look JR gives her. He demands she get out.
At the hospital, Dixie is surprised when Tad tells her that he believes her—not David. He suggests that Dixie is motivated by her guilt about Kate, and trying to replace the daughter they lost.
Adam enters and is already upset and wants to know what's on David's disc that's so upsetting to Krystal and Dixie. Tad says David claimed he was having an affair with Krystal—and it's obviously true that Adam and Krystal's marriage is solid.
Tad goes all out to apologize and make certain that Adam believes him.
At the hospital, Adam threatens Dr. Joe about JR's use of acupuncture and threatens legal action. Krystal sides with Joe, and says that JR is brave to face his addiction.
Krystal starts feeling contractions and is seen by her ob/gyn. They are Braxton-Hicks contractions; she's not in labor. She and Adam apologize for their harsh words; he says he'd die if she left him. As Dixie waits in the hospital lobby for Adam to get the car, Tad enters and tells her about his conversation with Dixie.
