Jamie and Di are in the waiting room, with Jamie sorry he didn't break JR's hands to stop him from drinking. Erica and Jeff rush in, and there's an awkward moment when Jack sees them.
Josh arrives at the hospital, walks directly to Babe and asks "How is JR?" Adam rushes towards him, and without a word, punches him in the face. A melee ensues, and then Adam punches Jeff.
Erica steps in to defend Josh and blame Babe for what happened. Dixie chimes in and says it's Babe's fault. Adam agrees. Finally Babe speaks, and says everyone is right—she's responsible for her ruined marriage. She wanders off, and Josh rushes after her, angrily warning everyone to stay away. When he finds Babe, sitting alone and crying, she tells him to go away, and that she never wants to see his face again.
Julia brings Jamie a cup of coffee, and he admits how angry he is with his brother for drinking again. He wants Josh out of all of their lives forever. And he wants Julia back.
Kendall goes over to comfort Bianca, thinking she's upset over Josh—but discovers she's feeling that she's weak. She stood up to JR, why couldn't she stand up and fight for Maggie?
Jack asks Erica if she is ready to move home. She claims she still has a lot to do with the show. Or is it Jeff Martin, asks Jack?
JR Fights for His Life
Bianca calls 911 about JR's jump; Erica and Josh are standing over his motionless body in the alley. He needs a doctor—so Josh begins to help him. He's bleeding out as the EMT's arrive—Josh insists he has to operate on JR right now—in the alley—or he will die! He performs emergency surgery, and then JR is rushed to the ER. The policBabe admits to Adam that she told JR about her Josh tryst. He's very angry and accuses her of ruining JR's life, and being motivated by money. He's getting angrier and angrier—when Jeff walks in, and tells him to shut up. Jeff is looking for Josh.
The police arrive to question Bianca and Erica.
Bianca is in a daze—how could this happen? Should she have let JR leave the room when he wanted to live? Erica tries to convince her that it's not her fault and that JR will no longer do damage to her family.
Erica is shaken by the fact that they could have lost Josh a second time, and Jeff comforts her.
Josh is back in his room, reliving the horrible events of that evening.
Adam and Babe see a blood-covered Josh, who tells them all that has happened. Josh tries to convince Babe that this demonstrates what JR is capable of—but she is unwilling to listen.
Adam is in JR's hospital room as they prep him for surgery. He tells JR how much they love him. Bianca runs into Babe and Adam there—he asks her what the hell she did to JR? She explains that she's sorry about what happened—but it's not her fault. Babe wants to know if JR threatened her and how this happened.
Di finally convinces Dixie to go back to sleep, and she does, but she is awakened by a phone call from Adam telling her about the accident.
::::JR Reaches a Breaking Point::::
Erica, Jeff and Bianca are happy about how well the New Beginnings party turned out, and that Lily is fine. Bianca leaves, and Erica tells him "Erica Kane is back…I guess the party's over."
"Not if you don't want it to be," replies Jeff. They sit together, and review the evening, and are about to kiss—when Adam walks in and accuses them and their family of depravity, and trashes Erica's mothering skill. Jeff tells Adam to shut up and take care of his son—JR is on a rampage!
Erica tells Adam that he's a curse on his children, and has "doomed them all"!
A Shattered JR.
Adam and Krystal are going through the baby things he bought—all pink! They let Colby know, and she reacts in form—jealous and sarcastic. Adam lets Krystal know that he's going off to his attorney to change his will to create a trust for baby Charlotte and one for Krystal. She doesn't want him to—or to face the fact they he might leave them. She thanks Adam for all his love and support, and they pledge their eternal love.
Erica's big night.
Babe can't believe what Josh said to JR. And she's even more confused by his reaction—he doesn't seem angry. He's surprisingly subdued and doesn't believe what Josh said. He says he "only" believes Babe. But she says too much when she tells him she told Josh it was "over."
Adam and Krystal walk in with the news that the baby is a girl, and healthy! JR announces that he's fired Josh, and they're all please—Krystal is too pleased, according to JR. JR wants her to call Josh and formally announce that he's out of their lives. She doesn't want to, and he gets angrier and angrier. Finally he asks her straight out if she slept with Josh. The answer is yes.
Josh's first day at Chandler Industries.
It's Josh's first day at Chandler Industries. JR wants to talk personnel matters, but Josh is more interested in personal conversations--especially the subject of Babe. JR says that there's nothing to discuss. As they're talking, Bianca shows up to talk about the New Beginnings party and the Chandler Industries donation to the Miranda Center.
Bianca can't understand why Josh is working at Chandler, and he explains it's a way to keep Babe safe.
Josh is ready to tell JR about him and Babe—and Bianca warns him to be ready for the consequences if he does that. She'll be on his side, no matter what he does.
Adam confronts Babe with the truth, but she tells him it's none of his business. Adam demands to know if it's over. She says her presence is proof that she's committed to JR. Adam says he will keep his promise to Krystal, as long as she stays away from Josh.
Krystal comes in after Adam leaves, and an angry Babe asks how she could have told Adam. Krystal apologizes, but says she couldn't lie to Adam about this. Babe admits that she's guilt-stricken and can't stop thinking about Josh.
"Keep your mouth shut" is Krystal's advice. Put Josh in the past, and let her mistakes stay buried.
When Adam arrives at work, he's surprised to see Josh, and flabbergasted when JR announces that he's hired Josh. "He came after your wife," says Adam. JR says he'll keep his "friends close and enemies closer."
Babe and Josh are having a very personal conversation in Josh's new office--and JR overhears.
Krystal tells Adam the truth.
Back at home, Babe is upset, and JR tries to comfort her, urging her not to allow David's lies to make her happy. He says he loves and trusts her, and knows Josh is not a threat.
Colby claims she's been accused of stealing an antique egg. JR reads her the riot act, and lets Adam know how Colby sided with David, saying Babe and Josh were having an affair. She insists it's true, and asks Adam if he believes her. He doesn't, and he demands she have nothing more to do with David, and show loyalty to the family.
JR announces that he and Babe are looking for their own house. Adam doesn't want them to leave, but Krystal thinks it's a good idea. After they leave the room, Adam asks her it it's true that Babe slept with Josh. Krystal says it's not true, but Adam asks again. Krystal finally admits that they were together once—and that Babe regrets it. It's over, and Babe loves JR. She begs him not to tell JR. He agrees and tells her how much he loves her.
Later, Adam asks Krystal to assure him that Babe is over Josh,and how he and JR are the same, and could never bear the betrayal of the women they love.
Babe and JR are in bed, talking lovingly about their idyllic future—Josh is outside the house, eavesdropping. He hears Babe tell JR how much she loves him and wants to be with him for the rest of their lives. Josh leaves.
My father or my husband?
Sean comes to Colby to see if she's ok. He attempts to straighten out things between them, and is sorry that her first time turned out to be such a disaster. He didn't know she was a virgin.
Adam bursts in angrily, demanding to know what Sean is doing in his house—after he was warned to stay away from Colby. He says he'd do anything in the world to keep his daughter from being disrespected—and shatters a priceless vase to prove his point. Adam suggests Sean drop off the face of the earth. He tells Colby that he'll do anything to protect her, and urges her to have respect for herself.
DNA doesn't lie:::
Krystal hugs Tad when he visits her in the hospital to find out if the baby is his. "The baby is Adam's," she tells him. She knows how disappointed he must be.
Adam's at BJ's, buying a snack for Krystal. He sees Sean, grabs and threatens him with legal action if Sean gets anywhere near Colby. Bianca intercedes and tells Adam to back off.
Adam sadly returns to Krystal's room and says he knows this little girl is not his baby. Krystal is speechless for a moment, but is relieved when Adam says that he's talking about Colby. Krystal tells him that he has to deal with the fact that Colby's no angel. He's shocked and has trouble figuring out how to deal with it. Krystal tells him he has to communicate with Colby and not give up until she understands that her father loves her. Krystal says she understands Colby because she was once the same sort of person—and didn't have a father to love her.
Bianca talks to Sean about the source of all the problems he's having, and offers to help. He suggests he go back to France with her, but she says she plans to stay in Pine Valley for a while.
Colby approaches them, and insults Bianca before realizing who she is. Sean asks her what's happening, and tells her about his fight with Adam.
