Colby comes back downstairs in a new outfit and makes nice with Annie. Annie regards her carefully, before walking out the door with Adam. Scott asks Colby what she's doing? Colby says that Annie is her enemy - she's keeping her close. She asserts that sooner or later Annie will slip-up - probably with him - and she'll be there to nail her. Scott says nothing will happen between him and Annie. Colby scoffs that Annie's all over him every chance she gets! Scott warns that Colby is playing with fire. Colby tells him to pick a side - before he gets burned!
Annie and Adam arrive at the courthouse just in time to see the judge leaving. He explains that Mr. Lavery's attorney found out about the honorarium and threatened to go to the Attorney General! Erica walks in as Barry tells Annie and Adam that he'll go see which judge they drew for the case. Liza arrives with Ryan, and Erica asks her what Ryan's chances are. Liza says Annie is the mother and has been cleared of all crimes - it's hard to say. Erica reassures Ryan.
Tad arrives at the courthouse and finds Opal outside in the corridor. He tells her that he helped Liza with the case and thought he'd stop by to see how it turns out. Opal teases him about dating Liza. They go inside, where Ryan is on the stand. He is testifying that Emma almost died because of her mother's selfishness - and not just once - it happens over and over again. He says Annie has asked Emma to lie and forced her to keep horrible secrets. Ryan's voice cracks as he tells the court that Emma deserves a normal childhood. Annie takes the stand next. She admits she hasn't been a perfect mother - she was sick, and her mind was messed up. She contends that her heart has never changed, though, it always has been full of love for Emma. Annie tells the court when things got bad for her, it was the thought of Emma that saved her. She insists that she fought to get well - and she did it for Emma. Annie cries, and the judge remarks that they've been at this all afternoon, and she's heard enough - she's ready to make her decision!
The Best Town in America!
Hayley begins her documentary talking about Pine Valley and its residents, who are going to give the audience the heartbeat behind the 'Best Town in America'! The documentary opens with Hayley discussing how she was a handful when she was a teen in Pine Valley. Adam then talks about coming to Pine Valley, not just because of his rivalry with Pete Cooney, but also due to Erica Kane being there shooting the film, "Raising Kane." He realized the town's potential, and has been told he put Pine Valley on the map!
Marriage is addressed next on the documentary - Erica and Adam are into double-digits! Zach and Kendall discuss getting married again, and Opal crows about the beautiful weddings held in Pine Valley. Jackson recalls Greenlee interrupting his marriage to Erica. Marissa and JR describe their love and wedding, and Scott says to the camera, "Nope. Not married. Not even dating." Jesse and Angie giggle that Pine Valley should be the love capital of America. Frankie and Randi are shown kissing, and Natalie and Brot skirt the issue of finding the right person, as do Tad and Liza. Adam tries to name his wives in order. Amanda shows off her funky, light-up wedding ring, and she and Jake describe how they fell in love. Erica rhymes off all of her last names in the right order!
Families are discussed next. Mateo and Maria Santos weigh in on growing up in a big family. Ryan and Emma appear on camera, and Annie says her daughter will be with her very soon. Adam calls family the most important thing in his life. JR introduces Little Adam and talks about how he hasn't had it easy - losing his mom and having him for a father. Erica, Kendall, and Bianca talk about being Kane women. The Martins all reflect on their family members. David says his children will never really know how much he's done for them. The Hubbard family discusses being apart for 20 years. Randi and Natalia feel they belong to that family now. Scott is sticking with the Chandlers even though Stuart is gone.
Loss is discussed next in the documentary. Erica remembers Mona and Myrtle - she likes to think they're driving around together in a convertible. Tad muses that he still speaks to Dixie all the time. Palmer also remembers his beautiful Dixie. Opal and Greg talk about losing Jenny. Brooke shares the loss of her daughter Laura. Krystal and JR talk about Babe passing away. David thinks everyone would miss him if he was gone. Ryan is asked about Greenlee's death, and Mateo and Maria remember Julia. Adam pays tribute to Stuart, but becomes overwhelmed.
Brooke and Palmer say no one leaves Pine Valley for good. Lily lists off the times that the buses leave town. Brooke says she'd come back, but someone would have to warn Erica. Maria, Lily, Jackson, and Brooke all say they still call Pine Valley 'home'. Jake, Jesse, and Angie describe the tornado. Krystal thinks about her losses due to the storm, and David laments not getting to the hospital before Babe died. Tad boasts how the residents rebuilt. Adam claims he kept Erica alive in the tunnels - she owes him her life! Erica remembers Kendall being in a coma, and Bianca giving birth. Bianca thinks her daughter, Gabriella, might grow up to be the strongest Kane woman of them all!
Best Town in America!
Adam answers the door of the Chandler Mansion vowing to get rid of the interlopers, but is stunned to see Hayley and Mateo on the doorstep! Hayley hugs Adam and comes inside. Annie introduces herself to Hayley as her new mother! Hayley doesn't think so! As they take in the assembled crowd, Hayley wonders what they interrupted. Adam explains that he and Annie were renewing their vows. Hayley and Mateo explain that they've actually come on business - Pine Valley's been voted the best town in America! Hayley says she's doing a documentary piece as a result. As cameramen stride into the house and begin setting up, Annie protests, but Erica asks to hear more. Hayley tells Erica she wants to interview her, but intends to begin with Adam. Adam mentions the wedding ceremony, and hints that Annie needs to be part of the interview as well!
The wedding ceremony continues at the Chandler Mansion. Hayley whispers to Mateo that she thinks maybe her father has lost his mind, marrying this woman! Scott and Hayley discuss Stuart's passing and he thanks her for the calls and flowers - he understands that she was too far away to come. As rings are exchanged, Hayley rolls her eyes. Emma goes to hug Annie as the ceremony ends, and Ryan steps out on the patio. Hayley follows and tells him she is sorry about Greenlee - she hopes he's found a way to move on. Ryan replies that he's working on it and gives a pointed look in at Erica. Hayley gasps, saying it's a bit of a shock. Ryan says his goodbyes and takes Emma home. On his way out, he remarks to the judge that it's quite a coincidence that he's handling their custody case as well!
