All My Children - MESSAGE BOARDS

So, I'm new to this board, but just wanted to see how many people out there are finally starting to think AMC might be getting a little better. I'm really excited about the Jake/Taylor/Carmen additions (bummed out they changed the credits and didn't add Carmen's pic, was hoping she was gonna be contract) With Kendall maybe heading off (Woohoo!) and hopefully maybe Babe, Greenlee, and Ryan to follow (Ok now I'm getting greedy, but I am SOOOO sick of their SLs) And with Dr. David coming back (I know some of you are hoping he will bring back Dixie, personally I'd like to see him somehow bring back Leo, or maybe....wait for it.... TREVOR!! Don't ask me how those two could possibly be connected, but hey, this is a soap, right!) Add Brooke and Dimitri back to the mix (Brooke with Adam, Dimitri to take Erica's mind off of Jack/Carmen) and now we've got a show!!

I'm on Martha's Vineyard, MA - I'm with ya on David stirring things up a bit.. we need a real villain around PV, Annie and Richie just aren't/weren't cutting it for me. Maybe David can bust Janet out of the nuthouse, then we'd be in for some action !!

I agree that it's starting to look up. I love the Jake-Taylor-Amanda s/l and I see a pretty good love triangle being set up there. Also look forward to DH coming back and I LOVE Petey. Very interesting character and I think he and Hayward will become the best of friends!

Also glad to see that Frankie is going back to Iraq. I'm really sick of seeing him fawn over Randi. She can do better than a Hubbard. Also, with all of these new characters and s/l, maybe we can have more shows with less Hubbard time.

Sorry, REX4EVER: keep your finger on the FF button; the Hubbard s/l is just beginning! You're gonna see more of them than you obviously can stand!

Yeah Sabine, I really like the idea of either of the Devane sisters coming back, and with David returning, that might happen (cant remember which was with David and which was with Dimitri...?) Even though I would be sad if the spoilers are true and Myrtle dies, I'm excited at the opportunity it presents to bring back lots of old (and loved) faces - Brooke, Bianca, etc... I even wouldn't mind seeing Hayley return as a recast, since I hear Skye might be coming as well...

Im with you on this one Hubbardfan.....I am all for The Hubbards..That family will never end..The Supercouple will always be there no matter what..If anything we need MORE HUBBARD time..

I can not take much more of Annie.. She is soo annoying... Hopefully Hubbard will convict her for her brother's murder...Then Ryan can have Emma... I would like to see Ryan and Greenlee back together but i do like Aiden alott... He and Greenlee will probably not last too much longer... Wow Brooke coming back.. I didn't think of that.. I would like to see her again its been a while... I love that David is coming back.. always love a good villian.. Maybee this will be the beginning of a really good year... I love Dixie I want her to come back especially now that they have found Kate, Their long lost daughter.... who wants Krystal out of Tad's life... That would put a twist on Krystal and Tad's marriage...

I think my point is that with all of these new storylines and character studies, we won't have scene after scene of the Hubbards like we have now. The show will be a lot more interesting.

My criticisms are not of the actors, they are of the storylines and the incessant focus on their inane angst. It's just boring. PV has a lot of interesting characters that we almost never see and it will be nice to have some variety.

Let's just have the Hubbards doing something else rather than fooling with food. Everytime there's a scene at their home they are either preparing food, unloading groceries or eating.
