They just must find a way to reunite Tad and Dixie--please someone bring her back somehow!Remember the film "Heaven Can Wait"? As Tad said, they should break the rules here. All we longtime Tad and Dixie lovers are very upset!

Even if it was, this last week of her appearances has been the only time in the past few months where I really wanted to tune in. I watched yesterday's (Monday) eppy late last night on soap net, and bawled through all of the hospital scenes. To get to see the "old" characters come together in their grief and worry was so beautiful and real. I even got sentimental when Palmer showed up to be there for Opal. Michael E. Knight is the most under- appreciated actor on daytime television. It is a travesty that he is seldom nominated for Emmy. To be able to play those scenes with Dixie and make them so believable and real is beyond belief. Even though i knew he would "Make it", I still felt the rally of all the people around him, and the pain he felt when Dixie said she had to go. I look forward to watching Tuesday's episode tonight at midnight, when my husband is already in bed and I can cry my eyes out if I feel like it.
I am so thankful that AMC finally gave us long- time viewers a reason to watch with emotion again. To put us back in touch with a deep meaningful storyline portrayed by the characters who have a lifetime connection.
God bless you writers, for finally getting it right!

Biancafan; first off, great username. She's my favorite. Second, as I told Rudy, keep hoping, it just might happen.

Hey Folks . .. believe it or not, I missed ALL of last week (Tad and Dixie's big hospital scenes) and the VCR fritzed! Does anyone know where I can "buy / trade / etc" copies of the episodes from last week. I am in TEARS about this!

I agree about Michael E. Knight. His scenes with Cady McClain have always been so real. They both have such a way of showing Tad and Dixie's love that I got caught up encouraging Tad to go with Dixie into the light. I was on the journey with them, until I came back to my senses and clapped and cried when Tad let Dixie's hand go and woke up.

I hope the writers realize what direction we fans want these two wonderful characters to go. Hurry up and sign Cady up before Guiding Light steals her from us.
