Yes I remember that and I also remember how quickly everyone in Pine Valley could forget it, yet they can never forget about Babe stealing Miranda and she wasn't even the one who stole her! her only fault was taking too long to return her when she found out who she really was. |

They were pregnant at the same time & Erica lost her baby. For whatever reason, Erica & Maria were together when Maria went into labor & Erica took off w/the baby to a trailer park. Erica didn't think Maria deserved the baby as much as she did. She lost her mind for at least 3 months and stayed in a trailer park w/the baby until some woman put 2 & 2 together about the news of the missing baby. Maria thought the baby washed away in a river or something I remember. she thought the baby was dead. |

Skye changes the results of Dimitri and Maria's paternity test, Erica learns that she's pregnant but wants to keep it a surprise until after she tells Bianca. Andy from the lab learns of the paternity test mix-up and Maria tells Edmund that she and Dimitri slept together. At a surprise baby shower for Maria, Erica breaks the news of her pregnancy. Edmund agrees not to leave Wildwind and tells Dimitri that he and Maria will raise Maria's baby as their own. Dimitri agrees to keep silent on his affair with Maria and to never admit that she is carrying his baby, Erica asks Dimitri to re-remarry her. Erica tells Skye that she is no longer a friend and Skye vows revenge. Skye is banned from Erica's wedding and cast off by Janet and then gives in to her cravings for alcohol, a drunk Skye writes a note to Erica telling her not to marry Dimitri because he fathered Maria's child and then shows up at the wedding to watch the fall-out. Skye never gets a chance to tell Erica why she should not marry Dimitri. Erica loses her baby and then craves a pill to numb her pain. Edmund wants to start over with Maria. Dimitri leaves for Hungary to find a child to adopt. Erica figures out that Maria is carrying Dimitri's baby. Erica gets Edmund out of town so that she can confront Maria about her affair with Dimitri. Erica confronts Maria about her affair with Dimitri. The ensuing stress causes Maria to go into premature labor. Erica helps deliver the baby and then raced it to the hospital. On the way, her car spins out of control. Everyone believes Maria's baby is dead, but Erica tracks the baby down and prepares to return her to Wildwind. Erica crashes a memorial service to Maria's child with stunning news. Erica then fakes a trip to Russia to adopt a baby when the baby is really Maria's child! Edmund and Maria enlist help to find their baby. Erica makes plans to leave town but Opal insists on tagging along. It was at Hayley’s wedding. Instead of Hayley and Adam appearing, Erica entered. With a huge smile on her face and Sonya in her arms, Erica began her march down the aisle. Erica received a visit from Esther, a visit that struck terror in her. Esther learns the truth about Erica's baby but agrees to keep quiet. Erica holds a book signing. Jack learns that Erica did not adopt the baby from Russia. Erica tells Jack that she did not adopt the baby from Russia and he agrees to keep her secret a secret. Erica and Sonya are nearly killed when Dimitri nearly mows them down with his car. Erica takes Dimitri to court. Erica moved to create a rival talk show to Tad's. Dimitri celebrated acquiring WRCW. Erica began to have nightmares about kidnapping Sonya. Erica blunders and calls Maria and Edmund's child a "she." Esther began to have second thoughts about making Maria believe that her daughter was dead. Bianca arrives back in town and almost immediately ends up in the hospital. Belinda and Liza look for ways to scheme Dimitri out of owning WRCW. Adam plans on getting even with Liza and Dimitri. Erica decides that she has to give Sonya back to her parents. Erica makes her move to return Sonya to Maria. Erica finally returns Sonya to Maria. Dimitri took to The Cutting Edge to tell the public of Erica's kidnapping of Sonya. Jack came to the conclusion that he has to charge Erica with kidnapping. Erica hides out in the attic and Chandler Mansion with a little help from Adam. Liza tells Jack where Erica is hiding. A regretful Jack watches as Erica is arrested. Erica is granted bail but has to live at Chandler Mansion and under Adam's custody. Erica's case comes to trial but Erica is more concerned with dressing to impress Jack. The jury is about to render a verdict but Erica suddenly decides to change her plea. A plane carrying Edmund, Maria, Brooke and Madeline crashes. Brooke tries desperately to save Maria from the wreckage, but the plane falls over a cliff and into the ocean with Maria still inside. And the town reacts in shock to the tragic aftermath of the plane crash. Skye tells Edmund that she altered the paternity test results, but he doesn't hear her. Gillian, a snooty European beauty, makes her debut. Skye finds her note of "confession" on the beach just a few yards from the crash site. Maria's memorial service is held. Edmund blames Brooke for Maria's death. Jim and Laura come face to face---again. Brooke heads to Washington for answers on the plane crash. Skye talks Edmund into a getaway to the shore unaware that a hurricane is approaching. Dimitri taps into the hospital computer system and learns that Edmund is not 100% leading him to pursue custody of Maddie. Jack visits Erica in jail. Erica is told that her visitation with Bianca is cut off until Bianca is of age. Dimitri takes Edmund to court over custody of Maddie. From her jail cell, Erica plots to get Gloria to give Maddie back to Edmund. Bianca is diagnosed with anorexia. Erica plans to sue for joint custody of Bianca. Matt and Hayley scheme to allow Edmund to see Maddie. Gillian plans to help Erica escape from jail. Erica took to live television to help soothe Bianca's nerves even though Erica was terrified that the doctors diagnosed Bianca as anorexic. Dimitri caught Edmund visiting with Maddie and got a restraining order against his brother. He later got some startling news from Maddie's blood work. Fowler admits to Dimitri that Skye altered his paternity test results. Bianca is released from the hospital but still is wary of food. Dimitri threatens to kill Skye of she even thinks about telling Edmund that Maddie is his child. From behind bars Erica figures out that Maddie is really Edmund's baby. Erica unravels the truth and tells Edmund that he is really Maddie's father. Skye confesses to Edmund that she switched the paternity results. Edmund and Jack prepare to act on the news that Maddie is not Dimitri's daughter, but Dimitri flees the country before he can be served with papers. Tad and Edmund travel to Budapest to find Dimitri, but they find unexpected roadblocks in their way. Edmund and Tad are locked up in the wine cellar at Vazdel, but Edmund escapes and convinces Gloria to go to a local hospital and check out Maddie and Dimitri's blood types. After months of pain, Edmund was finally reunited with his daughter. Erica's petition for parole was denied and she spent Thanksgiving in lock-up. She was, however, allowed to have a holiday dinner with her friends and family and coaxed Bianca into eating real food. Erica planned on paying off the prison guards to escape, but Jack talked her out of it. Erica gets a hare-brained idea to have a hooker take her place in jail. Erica realizes that she cannot escape from jail. Tad, Edmund and Gillian devised a plan to expose Dimitri as a kidnapper. Erica was granted parole and returned home just in time for Christmas. |
