Look at my post again Barf is not and never has been an insult,they are called that on every soap site and in the soap press.It is a combo of their names and does not refer to vomit,I always found Zinxy way to cutesy and have called them Barf since december 2006 when Zoe was Zarf and before Zinxy was even coined.

I'll go on the record as saying I have never agreed with anything Lisa-j has said on this board... but I agree that the name-calling (like calling Maggie "a piece of trash") has gone both ways. HOWEVER, don't try to pass off "Barf" as just an innocent amalgamation similar to "Zinxy." You KNOW it's not, which is precisely why you use it. If "Bianca and Maggie" lent itself to something offensive and insulting, you'd be the first one crying foul. "Baggie" might work, though...

(Can't believe I'm getting sucked into this, but some things can't be ignored. That was just too blatant.)

For the third time it is not an insult the name combo is Bianca nd Zarf (they were called that from day one) and I have called them that since Zoe was Zarf.Fine I will stop calling them that if it causes such offense but ppl need to stop insulting Maggie so much because unlike me they do mean it.

Zarf had stopped existing as a character by January. And Bianca and Zarf were never a couple. So there's two good reasons not to use "Barf." If you liked Zoe, you would never refer to her and Bianca using such a nasty word, would you? You use the word "Barf" despite the fact that those two were never a couple because it's insulting. At least have the courage of your convictions. Say "yeah, I couldn't stand Zarf, couldn't stand Zoe... couldn't stand Bianca and Zoe as a couple, but their names didn't make up an unpleasant enough word to reflect my disgust, so I settled on Barf." Playing innocent just makes you look dishonest.

Anyway, no one needs to resort to name-calling. All three characters are gone and both couples have broken up. The door remains open for both couples because let's face it, it's a soap opera. All the arguing over it is silly.

Erm Zinxy were never a couple and technically Zoe was still living as Zarf until well into february and I appologize if i've caused offensive and give a pinky promise not to call them that again .But it is possible for ppl to dislike Zinxy without them having to be insulted or attacked-like you said it works both ways,so maybe certain ppl on this board should appologize as well.

Well, if you think they were never even a couple, why amalgamate their names at all? Especially using the name of a character that was already gone by the time they started dating (which they were, sorry)? Bianca and Zarf were never even close to being a couple. So "Barf" has no logical basis at all. Except the obvious.

But I agree with you that people should be able to dislike them without being insulted. The key to that is disliking them without being INSULTING. And that goes for both sides of this debate. Both sides have been appallingly over the top.

I totally agree with you on this one, lisa-j! I've never liked the combo names much!
