Ezra, you will find this one interesting, and if you already know about it, my apologies. But according to Darnell himself, Jesse had to fake his death in order to protect his family 20 years ago.

Now, I wasn't watching AMC 20 years ago. Can someone tell me what he had to protect his family from???

So, Jesse faked his death. My how original...NOT!!!!

I think due to the whole Black Market Baby thing with Angie's Dad ... I think they made it look like he got killed in an ordinary way so they wouldn't come after them. But who knows!

I know Angie will be really glad to see him, but she's pretty spunky and will probably give him heck for not letting her know something in 20 years.He knew how bad she took his death.
