Someone on another site told me this morning that Alexa may be returning to AMC, anyone know if there is any truth to this??

That's just what AMC needs. More people "coming and going" whenever they feel like it. Don't get me wrong because I love Bianca and oldBabe, but all that "coming and going" stuff is very disruptive to the show. I say "either crap or get off the pot." You either want the darn job or you don't. PERIOD!

It's not like people have never been replaced on soaps before. Everyone's replaceable, just like with any other job.

AMC is never going to get better if the actors and actresses are allowed to determine their own schedules, work when they want or don't want to, and generally are allowed special favors to come and go as they please, depending on what OTHER work they might have lined up or be able to get. I can understand major actors/actresses being given priority treatment because they have busier schedules and more demands put on their time. But we aren't exactly talking about Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie here.

Most of these soap actors are virtually "unknown" outside of daytime television (with the exception of a few like Susan Lucci, David Canary, or Erika Slezak who have been soap staples for many, many years.) These "unknowns" should be thankful they even have jobs at all, because some of them aren't exactly the best actors or actresses to be making such demands.

You never hear of Erika Slezak, Robin Strasser, Susan Lucci, David Canary or any of the older "professionals" ask for special treatment. If they do other projects, they schedule them during vacations or at times when the show can accommodate them. They don't EXPECT their shows to "cater" to them, and are likely too professional to even think they should.

People who act in prime time shows are not allowed to "come and go as they please". They have a contract and they are expected to abide by it! If they don't, then they are replaced (and possibly even sued because they broke their contract). They are not given special "out" clauses so they can come and go when it is convenient for them.

At some point, these people need to decide if they want to "break away" from daytime to pursue other TV or film projects, or stay with the soap that can give them a bit of job security and a steady income.

I think the fans deserve at least that much respect as we are the ones "investing" our time in the future of AMC (or any other soap) by watching it in the first place!

After all, how would all those actors/actresses feel if we all just decided to "take 3 months off" and not watch the show. Then come back and watch it for 2-3 days, and then leave again for another couple of months and not watch. There wouldn't be much point in even HAVING soap actors (or even soap operas) if that were the case.

That is NO WAY to run a show, people!!! I know I am pretty sick of it too. I waited and watched AMC for 9+ months just to see if my fave would get to make a return visit to AMC and Pine Valley. What I got was another "Pop In" visit from Bianca telling Babe that Zoe "wasn't capable of being a good parent." Well, I would just LOVE to know who in the heck died and made her QUEEN??? I gave up 9 months watching "crap" every day on AMC just hoping for a Zoe return only to have Bianca destroy that hope within 10 seconds on the last day of her last "pop in" visit. She came in just long enough to "insult" Zoe and the entire TG community and dashed any hopes I had for a future Zoe return. And how in the world would SHE know what kind of parent Zoe would make anyway? It's not like she "stuck around for the long haul" to find out like she had promised she would.
