His two fav things right now are our horses and the 4 wheeler. My favorite animals are horses and Dolphins. I have grown up on four wheelers. My uncle used to take his 3 year old son and 10 year old daughter and me and my sister four wheeling at a friends farm and we would stay out there for two or three hours taking turns driving them . My two cousins started at the age of 3 and 4 years old teaching them to drive them by themselves. I love doing that type of stuff. Anything that has to do with horses or country things. |

Quote SOAPKID: Quote angelo: No that it matters, but in one of my other posts I said that I was leagally blind, and then in one of my others I said that I loved to read. Just so you all know, I readmost of my books on tape, but I also read a good number f them in Braille. Didn't want you to think I lied about beng visually impared. Like I said not that it matters to you all. I think it's great that you have the ability to still "read". I know a friend of mine years ago tested this devise that if he passed it over a page it would read it for him. I haven't seen him in sometime ... but the corporation I work for was on the cutting edge for these things cause this was like 20years ago. It was so nice to see technology helping in the right direction. Again, welcome to the board. And it matters to us. Sometimes your situation can put in perspective some other situations we thing are huge ... that really aren't. A friend of mine has lost an eye to cancer. He has a glass eye ... it's so cool how they have it set so that it moves in conjunction with his other eye. He's able to read a lot ... drive ... and do everything ... you wouldn't ever have known he had one if he didn't tell you. So, thanks for sharing your situation. Thank you for your kind words. I was born with cateracts. That sounds strange, because most people think that you only have those if you're older, but it's a lot more comon to be born with them than people think. I went to a school for the bld, and several students were also born with cateracts. I alo have glaucoma, caused by surgery. And I can't drive which is annoying at times, but for the most part, I have very few problems from being visually emparred. And again, thank you. |

I was born with glacoma and had to have surgery 7 times. When I was fourteen I had a eye transplant but I still have to where glasses. You are a survivor and it is amazing that you can still do things. |

My eye doctor is doing all he can to help me have vision for a little longer. The last sergery I had was for glaucoma. I also know a lady who was born with that deseze. It can be painful, but I think they finally have it under control. I hope that yours is contoled now. |

Yes it is painful I am glad they got it under control. I have had 5 BT injections too. Because I had crossed-eyes when I was 13 months old. I still think you are a survivior. |

Dollphenqueen, Thank you. While sometimes I don't feel like a surviver, it is nice to know that someone thinks I am. My neice gave me a botton saying as much, and I loved her for that! |

I commend u all. Here I am feeling crappy that my eyesight is getting progressively worse with age and I'll never have 20/20 even with corrective lenses ... and y'all been through so much. See, that's why sharing these things makes others realize the blessings we have as well as recognize the silent heros that go through the day with things that we all take for granted!! So, thanks again for sharing!! It's very much appreciated!! |
