All My Children - MESSAGE BOARDS

Hey guys, I was really disappointed to read a few threads on the board that were downright nasty!

This: Why are annie''s lips so big - missbea's thread and Kendall's weight - Luvin1life - four pages of this actor bashing was really uncalled for and goes against the Soaps.com guidelines. Our guidelines clearly state that there is to be NO actor bashing of any sort.

If you see this, please click the 'report bad post' link and we'll remove the post. It's an anonymous feature of the site. Don't feed into this. If you wouldn't do it in real life, why do it here? Actors are human and we don't want them insulted on our boards.

I agree also...I actually think Annie is very beautiful...

But can i ask one question if we cant bash the actors , can we go Mctavishs house and bash her....for ruining our SOap and getting rid of My (1 last time) my Dixie ..could have atleast waited till she found her Kate ...she had been looking for over 4 years. could have had her drop dead after she read a letter telling her who her kid was witha picture, and Brooke ..still a beauty with alot of potential for storylines...Why bring Barbra back.

well this is probably going to get me thrown off here....but I just cant help but bash Ms Mctavish.

I was not bashing Alicia Minshew. I think she's beautiful, but she IS very thin.

I agree bashing is not right, but I also agreee that Dixie and Brooke should have remained on the show, and Barbara should have not returned; Sean should have packed up and left a long time ago.

I made a comment about Kendalls weight agreein wit some one else, but it was not a bash. I also stated that if her weight works 4 her than more power 2 her. That's still my kendall Skinny or not.

I think that it needs to be said that when someone is making negative comments about the physical appearance of the person playing the character, they are bashing the actor. Some of the comments that I have seen on this as well as other boards is no better then tabloid material. I think a good stand to take is that if you wouldn't say these things to your best friend, or want them said to you, then it is a good idea to keep those comments off the boards.

I only wish that I looked like either one of them...hahahaha

Perhaps the new head writer and possible new staff will make a few changes? Let's hope for the best!

Thanks for understanding about bashing. I think I need to point out that the Kendall's weight thread was considered bashing because the very first post,...Luvin1life,... was to ask if everyone thought she was anorexic. It is none of our business whether or not she is but do you see how that could be spread around? What if an actor was reading the board? That would be really nasty for them to see. We aren't like other boards that allow this. We make no apologies about it, either!!

Let's simply have fun but follow the guidelines!!

flygurl - You hit the nail! I'd never behave that way toward a friend or discuss a friend like that, either! That's another reason why we don't allow it here. It's just not nice!!!

IMO you are over-reacting.
Is this board for posting opinions on AMC or being politically correct?Your comment that the actor in question might read the board and be hurt by said comments is ridiculous.If Ms.Minchew or Ms.Lucci,for that matter,are upset by the comments maybe they should see their Physicians.
Eating disorders can and do ruin lives.....(Does Karen Carpenter bring anything to mind)?
Having been a bulimic for many years,had it not been for friends pointing out what I was doing to myself,I might have had the same fate as Ms.Carpenter.
