cameron mathison who plays ryan may leave next year ALL MY CHILDREN.
he is in the front run to replace ABC Diane Sayer good mourning America who is replacing ABC NEWS CHARLES GIBSON who is retiring in January as ABC NEWS ANCER WORLD NEWS.
I believe cameron is an ABC corespondent for GMA. so it only makes sence for ABC hire him on GMA.i think he is cut out for the political arena he is better at it then soaps.
i would love to watch him on GMA. it makes sence that he goes over to GMA being that he is over there at times.
if he dos go and i believe he is going, thats it for AMC, it's over. first thorsten kay, alicia minchew, now cameron matheron' frons cant afford to loose three front center magger players who makes up the show and they cant be replaced.

I would be totally shocked if Cameron Mathison was even considered to "replace" Diane Sawyer! GMA is a huge money earner for ABC and many experienced journalists will be seeking that coveted position. I heard that George Stepahanopolis is a front runner but my guess is they will want a woman to balance with Robin, Chris and Sam.

Claire Shipman is experienced and is a regular contributor to the show. There are a several others who are well qualified but it is midnight and the brain is gone. I will miss Diane because she has brains, beauty and a super sense of humor.

As for Cameron, he has appeared on GMA features and if he has the opportunity to join the cast, it would be a great career move for him. Heaven knows that the AMC writers have ruined his role as "Ryan" and I don't think they can fix it, even with Greenlee's return. Or should I say "especially" with Greenlee's return.

ummmmmmmmm. No offense to camaron as I am positve he would see how ludricus, rediculous, and insulting this would be to real journalist, he most certainly is not even a remote pick for the replacement.totally absurd.Whatever publication ran with that story should have serious egg on their face.
On a nother note you sure got my hopes up that amc was finally kicking him to the curb.

Cameron I think is a pretty good guy but his Ryan character makes me sick. If this story is true and he decides to pursue other opportunities...I wish him the best. But you can't get Ryan Lavery off my screen fast enough!

I agree, wholeheartedly with you all! Cameron Mathison is a very handsome man and probably the farthest thing away from Ryan as possible in real life. I cannot image that he is happy with this slow paced story line. The same lines over and over and over again. It is endless. And even though he and Susan Lucci both have developed a love of dancing and certainly like to share that love. Why in the world would either one of them think that it is a good idea for Ryan and Erica become lovers. It is ridiculous. His forced adoration at the dance-a-thon was embarrasing!

It wasn't that long ago that everyone loved Ryan Lavery. He was fun and adventurous and protected the woman he loved. Now he's an awful father and chasing the grandmother of his son. Ick! Cameron does the flirty carefree character so much better than he does whatever the heck they have him doing now. If we see that, why don't the writers? I feel sorry for Cameron. He has to do what they tell him to do. I don't think the actors get much say so in their roles. If Cameron leaves, they're going to replace Ryan's hunk spot with Scott and that won't be pretty. Speaking of which, Scott was such a humanitarian when he arrived back in PV. He now knows Kendall is innocent. How can he allow her to stay in prison? Shouldn't his attitude be, Adam is my uncle but there is an innocent woman being punished for somethign she didn't do?

GOOD, maybe then I'll start watching it again. Wish he was leaving today. I read he will be co-hosting GMA after Diane Sawyer leaves. Another show I won't be watching anymore.
