I am having a tough time coming to terms with the departure of Thorsten Kaye from AMC. Like so many others have commented, I applaud his putting the needs of his family first, but he will be sorely missed on AMC. After many years of loyal viewing I personally will stop wathcig the show. AMC you should be coming up with a too good to resist offer for this incredible actor and his family!!! He and Alicia have great soap opera drama and chemistry. Good luck Thorsten in all your future pursuits. You are a marvelous actor.

I agree Its a shame they are letting him go like that. They are moving because of viewing but the way its going if they lose all the good characters like Thorsten nobodys going to watch. I will probley stop watching him and Alicia was the scenes I would watch. They are my favorite ones to watch. All the best in the future Thorsten.

I am sorry to all of his fans but I for one am so excited no offense to his fans on AMC but I didn't want him to stay on the show because I watch OLTL and I love SH and she has a very important role in OLTL and if she left OLTL wouldn't be the same.

I hope he returns to OLTL, and they get rid of the newbies who have come on, Stacy mainly. I literally stopped watching since she has been on, I cannot tolerate her, and how these people are allowed to get away with the garbage they get away with, astounds me. It's sickening and appaling and a total insult to viewers. The writers have no respect for us, and the show needs to be taken in an entirely different direction. it's boring, stories drag on too too long, and frankly, the stories leave a lot to be desired. They blame ECONOMY for lack of viewership, has nothing to do with economy. People watch soaps for amusement, not to see kids with cancer, same old same old whose the daddy, false DNA's, or in some cases, none at all. David's character is sickening to the bone, and he needs to be done away with. I know this thread is regarding Thorsten kaye, but frankly, he's looking like a real jerk lately, and I think a new soap, and new storyline would do wonders for him. He and Marty were perfect together, and truly loved each other.
Put him back where he belongs, with Marty.

I also have been watching AMC since early 1971.
I've stayed w/ it even when the story lines
weren't good. I will miss those who don't make
the move, mostly Thorsten. When is this move going
to take place? Someone said it has to do with
dwindling viewers? How is moving to CA going to
change that? Whoever came up w/ that idea should
be fired! That won't change poor story lines at all.

I wish him luck but I never saw Zach as my reason to watch. I have always thought that the character had an “identity crisis”. Imo Zach is better suited to GH than AMC. The writers (none of them) seemed to know what they really wanted to do with him. He has chemistry with AM but so do most of the others she’s been paired with in her tenure. Frankly, I never missed him when he left OLTL and I doubt I’ll miss Zach (if I continue to watch beyond AM’s leaving).
