Pratt's first assignment is turning Jake (Ricky Paull Goldin) and Taylor (Beth Ehlers) into the iconic couple the actors were when they played "Guiding Light" super couple Harley and Gus for seven years. Pratt knows a lot about super couples: Can you say "Luke and Laura"?

As for which characters will be written out, Pratt is being mum, but does not plan a wholesale slaughter of long loved characters.

Very interesting quote! I remember being so optimistic when the new writers arrived in Pine Valley.

At the time I was not familiar with Ricky Paull Goldin or Beth Ehlers but so many were excited about their addition to the cast, I was looking forward to their storyline. The Jake and Taylor relationship wasn't even given a chance. I do like him with Amanda and I thought she and Tad had on screen chemistry going.

The show is in desperate need of romance and humor! And what did Pratte say about "Family?" What did he say about not doing a "wholesale slaughter of long loved characters?" Shall we start counting the loved characters who are or will be gone?
