I just started watching this soap again and cannot for the life of me figure out WHY they killed off Dixie! I loved her on As the World Turns as Rosanna and missed her when she left (long-term coma).

Why did the writers go to so much trouble bringing her back for such a short time?

Does anyone know the reason Cady left AMC again? Do any of you know where she will appear next?

Dixie was fired. The writer really dropped the ball by writing her out. It makes no sense whatsoever!

This is the most ridiculous move. Whowver,the writers are should be shot! I've become so disgusted with the whole recent storyline until I and some friends have switched over to the chanel 2 stories.

So if Cady was fired (or quit) why not replace her character Dixie with a new actress to continue her role? Why get rid of Dixie for good? Boy they must have really wanted that character gone.

Dixie can't be replaced. Cady is Dixie!!!!!!!!!

You're right. Cady has always played the Dixie character. So it wouldn't be the same if someone else played that part.

I just hate it that Dixie is dead. I wish that Cady would revive her role of Rosanna on As the World Turns. That show could use her! I missed her so badly when she left there.

The CBS soaps are much better than ABC's anyway. AMC was the only ABC soap I stayed with, and now that all this has happened, they are off my TIVO list.

i agree nobody can play dixie but cady im gonna miss her just was really starting to love her again with tad ....it will always be tad and dixie

*) The idiots in charge or The powers that be or the inmates in charge of the asylum have made the biggest mistake of their careers. They obviously don't care about the fans and they think we are just going to roll over and take whatever they dish out. I want them to answer the question don't you care about what the fans want? I think they grossly underestimated the reaction of the fans.
