While I understand why he is retiring..I hope AMC honors one of its original cast members. How about giving Dr.Joe and Ruth a storyline before the move? How about a scene together? A family reunion with Tara,Jeff, etc.? Maybe resolve the issue of Bobby in the attic and his skis. The writers could have fun with this, but knowing Pratt, Dr.Joe will just fade away like the others.

i was never a big fan of dr. joe or his mom, kate.i always thought kate was mean and joe sactimonious at times but......... as little air time as they gave him in the last few years it is a shame that they had to have joe go bad and be blackmailed by david.as how much longer was he going to be around in soapland anyway.also i found it disturbing how he also bailed on josh.anyway best of luck to the actor and thanks for over all a great viewing experience.

I would also like to see some of the old cast members, like Donna and Chuck, Billy Clyde!! Erica's Brother Mark!, Brooke! Bennie! (the original actors) But we all know money talks! We just got Jessie and Angie back!! (Donelle/Debbie) I sure hope they are not planning to leave AMC after the move..

This Pratt guy needs to listen up and get with it:) I too would like to see a nice exit from Joe Martin!

i watched from the very bigening and i will miss joe martin
and thank you forforty one years for great intertainment.
i enjoyed you and ruth and all the martin family for years.

i hope pratt and frons gives RAY a happy send off witch he deserves after forty one years of hard work showing up at ABC studio for work. they should bring all the original martin cast crue to give ray a beautiful retirement party
and then send him off in to the sun set.

However the producers decide to write off Dr. Joe, I just hope they don't kill him off. It would be nice if Dr. Joe retires from the hospital and decides to move away from Pine Valley. Actually, I have a feeling that he will have a heart attack and the viewers will be seeing many tear-jerker scenes.

Dr. Joe Martin you will surely be missed i have been a fan of AMC since day one. Dr. Joe Martin has became a member of my family. I hope you relaxation, peace,and happiness. Thank you for been and amazing actor. GOD BLESS
