The ORIGINAL confirmation of cast members moving to L.A. or travelling for taping, stated that Thorsten Kaye would NOT move to LA, but he will commute.

As of TODAY, (NOT when I posted the confirmation DAYS AGO) he has decided not to stay on.

So all of you who are bitter at my earlier post when I stated Thorsten Kaye was staying, I apologize. However, I posted what was confirmed by several sources. Therefore, I wasn't wrong...it's just that Kaye pulled out at the last minute and has decided to not bother with the commute.

Now, it is rumored there may be a recast. This has NOT been confirmed though.

That is what I figured when I read it...but thanks for clearing it up
I don't understand about Kendall or Amanda though.
Kendall is going on maternity leave-is she leaving for good or just until she's ready to come back to work?
Amanda is moving to LA but not acting in AMC anymore?
I'm soooooo confused!

Well if you remember, Amanda was supposed to have left the show back in July of this year, but she opted to extend her contract until the end of this year. I'm assuming she and Jake will divorce. But what will happen with the baby? I know David won't hand over custody just like that?

This show is going down the drain....

Chrishell confirmed a few hours ago on her twitter that she's out. I didn't want to accept it until it was official. Sadness for Jamanda fans

And AMC would be foolish to attempt to recast Zach - it won't happen. Thorston is far too loved!

dmfan, i want to unconfuse you and not to worry about amanda. chisel strouse" amanda" is moving to LA but is not renewing her contract with ABC's AMC and will only work when needed because she is going to be doing other projects out of the soap world. i do hope this puts you at some ease.

I read there is behind the scene negotiations to keep Thorsten (Zach) in PV. It just makes me wonder if they are saying this only because they are affraid eveyone's (viewers) going to jump ship before the move.

I am already in mourning over the news that Thorsten Kaye is leaving Pine Valley and I don't believe anyone can take his place. I think the best story line is to kill Zach.

But, Mr. Pratt, that does not mean we want to spend months and months guessing who killed him. Yes, it could be murder but he could die saving his family or in a plane crash or something. It could be dramatic and viewers can really mourn. Then they could bring in a new owner for the casino. Viewers will adjust to a new actor in a new role but will resent a "Zach #2."

As for Thorsten, I totally understand his reasons for remaining in New York but he will be missed!!! He is a fantastic actor and deserves great scripts. Maybe we will see him on prime time or at the movies. I hope so.
