I just read on another site that they anounced that TK (Zach) is not moving or commuting to LA. I am completely bummed to hear this. Without Zach I have no reason to watch AMC anymore. The only reason I watch AMC is for Zach and Kendall. This move is going to be the downfall of AMC!!!

I feel you. I love watching Zendall even when they go through crap (like they are now) I still like their chemistry. People complain all the time about Kendall, but if she goes and Zach goes, people will be clamoring for her to come back. Whoever is over this move, way to go moron! You just began the downfall of AMC. Tehy'd better hope Lucci continues to commute and not drop out after a year or so. I don't care who they bring back, it means nothing is THorsten Kaye and Alicia Minshew aren't playing Zendall...

If TPTB were smart they would write Zach and Kendall a happy exit story, but then again if they were smart they would never had let either actor leave. I don't blame the actors they have to make the best choice for them and their families and I respect that, infact it makes me like them even more.

While I like Kendall and don't necessarily want her to leave the show, I wouldn't be able to watch her paired with anyone else. I really don't see her communting to LA either, she is about to have her first child and her husband has a restaurant that is based in NY; those are to very good reasons not continue on AMC.

Maybe if they both leave, OLTL could write them into their cast. Zach could be Patrick's twin brother that he never knew about. Zach and Kendall could move to town after they discovered that Marty and Cole lived there. Or something weird and soapy like that. It could certainly boost OLTL's rating, all the loyal Zendall fans would certainly follow them over.

Yeah, but the moderator, Candance, posted a thread where there's a slight contradiction. It says that Zach will NOT move to L.A., but may commute. This is what I copied and pasted from THIS SITE:

Thorsten Kaye (Zach) will not make the move to L.A., but may commute.

So I don't get it.

I know I read the same thing earlier and was confused, but I read this on another site. It's a Thorsten Kaye Fan site and the post said:
Here is the article from SOC on this.

ABC announces which AMC stars will continue with the show in Los Angeles

by Dan J Kroll

Even Santa's list doesn't get this much scrutiny. ABC has finally released its list of which All My Children stars will continue with the show once it moves to Los Angeles. While most of the show's talent will continue on, there are several stars who will not be making the move.

ABC has finally released the much-anticipated list naming which All My Children stars will be heading west when the show packs up and moves production to Los Angeles in January.

Since ABC announced in early August that it was moving production of All My Children from New York to the West Coast, many fans have worried that some -- or all -- of their favorite stars might not want to relocate, leaving the show with a transcontinental divide. As previously reported by soapcentral.com, All My Children: Los Angeles will look very much like All My Children: New York.

Nearly the entire cast of contract players is making the move. Brittany Allen (Marissa Tasker), David Canary (Adam Chandler), Bobbie Eakes (Krystal Carey), Melissa Claire Egan (Annie Lavery), Stephanie Gatschet (Madison North), Ricky Paull Goldin (Jake Martin), Shannon Kane (Natalia Fowler), Michael E. Knight (Tad Martin), Jamie Luner (Liza Colby), Adam Mayfield (Scott Chandler), J.R. Martinez (Brot Monroe), Cameron Mathison (Ryan Lavery), Debbi Morgan (Angie Hubbard), Cornelius Smith Jr. (Frankie Hubbard), Denise Vasi (Randi Hubbard), Darnell Williams (Jesse Hubbard), and Jacob Young (JR Chandler) are all California-bound.

Susan Lucci (Erica Kane) and Vincent Irizarry (David) will continue to appear on All My Children, but as previously announced, both will commute to and from Los Angeles when needed for work. Both will maintain their permanent residences on the East Coast.

"I made my final decision just a couple of days ago," Lucci told the Associate Press.

There are some notable names absent from the move list.

Original All My Children cast member, Ray MacDonnell (Joe Martin) has announced that he will retire from full-time acting. MacDonnell, who, with Susan Lucci, is the only original cast member still on AMC, may continue to make special appearances in the future.

Also not making the move is Emmy-nominated Thorsten Kaye (Zach Slater). Kaye has informed network executives that he will not be relocating to California. The actor, who with his long-time partner, Susan Haskell (Marty Saybrooke, One Life to Live), has two children, has previously expressed his unwillingness to be apart from his family. "I am not the kind of dad who wants to be 3,000 miles away from my kids," Kaye told the New York Daily News in August. A final airdate for Kaye has not been announced, though show sources hint that there are still behind-the-scenes negotiations going on that may keep Zach Slater in Pine Valley. Those possible scenarious include having Kaye commute to Los Angeles so that he can pre-tape several weeks of material at a time.

Alicia Minshew (Kendall Hart) will begin maternity leave in November, though the actress' alter ego will continue to appear into December. Whether or not Minshew will return to the show after the birth of her first child is not known.

As previously reported, Aiden Turner (Aidan Devane), Beth Ehlers (Taylor Thompson), and Brianne Moncrief (Colby Chandler) will not be joining the show in Los Angeles. The three performers have been let go and their characters will be written out in advance of the move.

None of the show's recurring players are currently scheduled to continue with the show. It is, however, possible that performers such as Jill Larson (Opal) will appear if the situation warrants their appearances.

All My Children will tape its final episode in its Manhattan studio on December 11. The show will then have a month-long hiatus while production moves to Los Angeles. When all the crates are unpacked, AMC's will have have about twice the studio space in Los Angeles as it had in New York. In addition, ABC will begin broadcasting All My Children in high-definition.

I really hope it's wrong but i don't think it is.
